What could I have instead of a dining room?
Inside my house the first room that you walk in is a room that is supposed to be the dining room. I think it s odd and I don t really have a need for a dining room because we eat in the kitchen. It is not really useful as a living room either considering it has tile and the eletrical isn t portioned right. We use the den as the living room. Right now the room isn t really useful but I wish it was. I just don t really know what it could be yet.
3 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling5 years agoWhat is a word that my husband is being?
At the end of a fight or when a past fight is brought up he talks as if he was the hero and saving my life or the only good outcome of the fight was only because of him.
I know it's not good to bring up past fights but sometimes it does happen. I'm trying to elaborate to him as what he is acting besides a jacka*s and a douchebag.
6 AnswersMarriage & Divorce5 years agoHow do I make a poster waterproof?
I am asked to make a poster stating the rules of the swimming pool. It will be traveling a lot because it s for a swimming instructor. I thought it would be nice to try to make it where it is not completely ruined if water get s splashed on it. I don t have a lot of money so I was hoping to get household items. I was thinking either hairspray or a glue/water mix over it but I do not know how that will work out.

1 AnswerGarden & Landscape6 years agoWhy did the key man put a keyhole on both sides of my deadbolt?
I got new keys made and I now have to use a key on both the inside and the outside of the lock. Why would he do that? Did he seriously do that on purpose or is he just f-ing with me? Why do I have to fumble around with my keys when someone rings my doorbell? If there s a fire and I can t find my key, why do they want me to break a window getting out or just burn inside? I want a straight answer as the reason why he would put a keyhole on both sides. Not what to do, I already know to call them.
I couldn t ask him while he was doing it. I wasn t there. Only my husband was and he said the guy didn t say anything about it.
13 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs6 years agoOh &^$#, I just bought a house. What do I do?
My husband & I just bought a house yesterday. As in, he has the key and we can do whatever we want with it right this very moment. We didn't know when this would happen so we still have a 60 day lease on our apartment. I don't have to move in right away. I know I have this golden 60 day opportunity to do what needs to be done. Besides changing the locks, I have no earthly idea as what else to do. I feel like I'm wasting time right now not knowing.
5 AnswersRenting & Real Estate6 years agoI hate it when Mom does this.?
There would be multiple times a day where I would be thinking of how I need to do a certian chore or housework. I get up from where ever I am, headed where the direction where the chore is then my mother tells me to do the exact same thing that I was about to do. Then I yell ar her saying "It's the only reason I got up!!! / walked out of my room!!!! / walked into the kitchen!!!!!! I also say stuff like "Can I finish walking to the kitchen before ya tell me what to do????" Cause she doesn't even give me that liberty. I've tried talking to her. Ive tried anncouning every single thing that I'm about to do before I do it. ( which gets tried for me real quick.) Now I'm to the point that when she does it I say "well darn it, now I gotta do something else." Also even if there was something I know I gotta do but I'm busy doing something like on the computer, she yells at me 3 4 5 or 6 times even though ive already told her alright or okay. And I'll do it as soon as I find a stopping spot on the computer. But after the 4th 5th time, it's just annoying and I don't want to do it until she shuts up about it for a while. I have no idea how to deal with this lady, Ive ran out of options. Please help. I'm in my 20s, we're headbutting and theres no point on wasting my money on an apartment cause I'm getting married in March and can't move into my fiancé apt cause it's too small for the both of us. We would be living on top of each other. I don't want to move in with a friend.

If I gave you the title "The Girl with the Red Buttons" what would the short story be about? It can be anything you want. It doesn't even have to have a girl in it. But the title has to make sense with the story.

4 AnswersCats7 years agoShould I buy or rent my next home?
Fiancé and I would like to move in together once we're married.
I have never moved before in my life. I have no idea what I'm getting myself into. Fiancé suggested that I should research what would be best for us, living in an apartment or trying to see if we can get a house. Since I have no idea what I'm getting myself into. He has lived in several apartments before all over Texas and I have lived with my parents in the same house my whole life. So, I'm serious when I say I have no idea what I'm getting myself into. I don't even know where to start. I don't know the first thing about moving at all. I don't know what questions to ask. We live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Texas area.
6 AnswersRenting & Real Estate7 years agoHe wont propose and I'm going crazy. Help me.?
In the beginning of our relationship, my boyfriend did occasionally bring up getting married, but I was not ready for it. I was scared, worried, and uneasy about it all to the point that I even called it "the M word." Some how he loved me enough to stay with me, but he went on to other things in his life. He got his Business degree, and got promoted This took a few years to get done and in the middle of it I started to use words like marriage and engagement and was excited to talk about our future together. What really made me turn over a new leaf was when he was offered a job in another state. Marriage has always been scary for me but fear of loosing him was 100x worst. All the sudden marriage didn't seem that bad. The more I thought about it in a positive sense, and it being with him, the more I wanted it. He decline the job saying the position wasn't what he wanted. I did open up my new found feelings towards marriage with him and we both agreed that there was some stuff to be done first. He had to finish school, find a job or get promoted, and I worked on saving money. Right at this moment he has graduated and have gotten promoted and I have put away a nice amount in the bank. (I'm so sick of Ramen.) I have also found out by accident that he bought an engagement ring 2 months ago.
Yet he still doesn't propose, we've talked about it, he says stuff like he wants to propose on his own terms and not just because everybody (I swear, every single person we know, i'm not exaggerating.) is asking when it will happen. He's also pulling the "I waited for you in the beginning and supported you and I deserve the same." Which I'm of course regretting now, but he actually says he's glad that we waited. He says our lives are going to be better cause he went back to school before we get married.
Here lately he's calling me obsessive and pushy and asking me to clam down and complains it's all I ever talk about. He repeatedly says "Cool it, I got this."
So this isn't really me asking how I can get him to propose to me, it's more like…. how can I calm down? I love the man I want to marry him and I know when he proposes the way he wants to it's going to be so much better than a rushed, forceful proposal. I'm to the point that I want to cry and sulk every time a Jared's or a Kay's commercial plays. I want to punch my co-workers in the face when they talk about doing things with their husbands and they wear their engagement rings and wedding bands. When ever someone talks about my boyfriend and I getting married, moving in together, or having kids. I just ignore them, that's a loosing battle and I know it. If I ask them to stop then they start to ask if we're breaking up. Then they get mad at my boyfriend and he becomes mad at them. (I have yet to figure out why this happens.) I try to ignore it, I try to distract myself from it, I try to not talk about it, I've even tried to run away from it. It always comes back to me, and wedding season is approaching fast. In fact, we have a wedding to go to in March. I really don't want to go, but they are good friend's of mine and my boyfriend and if I don't go I will feel childish and selfish and completely self-centered. I want to enjoy it. I just need help getting over my situation first. I just can't find anything that will work for me.
Also, yes I have thought of proposing to him. I have read up on this. I have decided not to do so only because in my readings it states there are some men who would be put off by this because it would be, one article phrased it as, "stealing his thunder." I truly believe my boyfriend, who takes pride of being a bad-a$$, and believes "a man gots to do what a man gots to do", would feel deprived if I was the one to propose to him. On a side note, I have told him a number of times that it's an Irish tradition that the girl does get to propose to him on Leap year-day. I am part irish and quite traditional. I'm really hoping he doesn't wait 'til then, that's about 2 years away.
If you read this whole damn thing, bless you, oh may God bless you in every way. Good grief this sucker was long.
9 AnswersWeddings7 years agoWhat is the name of this Louisiana song about a voodoo queen?
There's a song that starts off
Down in Louisiana where the alligators grow
There's a voodoo queen named Louie Divo
I've been told the singer might be Bobby Bear but after my resent searches, I could be wrong. My main trouble is I think I have the queen's name spelled wrong. Her last name sounds like DEE-voe. It kinda like your trying to say diva but instead of ending it with an "a" you end it with an "oh" sound.
Other tid-bits of the song is about handsome Jack and either Jack wants to marry the queen or the queen wants to marry him. I forget, I've only heard it once.
2 AnswersNew Orleans7 years agoHow to display a Waterford glass lily?
My fiance gave me a Waterford glass Lily. It looks like this,
http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/waterford-gifts...
He gave it to me on Valentines day, saying it will become a family heirloom. Total awwwww moment but I have no idea what to do with it. I don't even know how to display it.
It comes in a black box with black styrofoam, the lily doesn't have a base to stand it on, I was thinking of having it display inside the box but it will make me paranoid to no end thinking that it will fall out and break. It would look tacky if I put tape over it.
It's either going to be displayed or out of my house. It has to have some purpose besides taking space in my closet.
1 AnswerDecorating & Remodeling7 years agoWhat is your experience with birth control?
Details now. Questions at the end.
My fiance wants me to start taking birth control as soon as we're married. I don't really care for the idea cause I've always had trouble swallowing pills and it worries me that I would have to stop and try to remember if I took them before having sex. If I forget, then I'll get pregnant and it will be all my fault. I have talked to him about this and he said "There are other ways to use birth control. Why don't you get on that computer and do a little research?" and also "How about you start taking vitamins and that would put you into the habit about taking something regularly."
He. Does. Not. Like. Condoms. He says you can't get the full benefit of sex with condoms.
I did talked to him about a vasectomy. He said that is surgery, all he wants me to do is to take a pill. I got upset about how I would have to do it for the rest of my life. Then he told me it's no difference than taking vitamins, and that's where the vitamin suggestion came in after I told him I didn't take vitamins. I can't get upset with the man cause he bought me a bottle of Flintstone chewables before he came home from work. Now he wont stop talking about how he wants me to be healthy and vitamins are good for me. But now I digress.....
Questions:
1. What is your birth control's name?
2. What is your birth control's favorite color? J/K.... Is it over the counter?
3. Besides no babies in your tummy, what are the pro's of your birth control?
4. What are the cons?
5. Is it expensive?
6. How do you use it? As in you Ingest it, rub it, stick it up where the sun doesn't shine. etc.
7. Are there side effects?
8. Do you know something that I should be concerned of about birth control in general or keep an eye out for? As in you heard something from a friend, tv, newspaper, magazine, Great-Aunt Mert.
8. Are there any differences with your period or with your PMS?
9.Also, with birth control such as the Nuvaring, how in the world does that thing stay in place during sex?? How in the world would you even want to have sex with that thing inside of you???
Thanks in advance.
3 AnswersWomen's Health8 years agoAnswer these questions about your BoyFriend.?
How old are both of you?
How long have you two been together?
Do you live with each other?
If no, you do NOT live with each other:
How many times a week does HE text YOU? (NOT you text him.)
How many times a week does HE call YOU? (NOT you call him.)
How many times a week does HE invite YOU to go hang out with him, or him & friends? (NOT the other way around.)
If yes, you do live with each other:
How often a week do you have time just to yourself?
How often a week do you have time with just you and your boyfriend?
How often a week do you go out or just stay in with him?
How often a week do you hang out with your friends, but not with him?
3 AnswersSingles & Dating8 years agoIsn't it OK with a little PDA?
My boyfriend & I love to have parties at his house. We have a bunch of people come; some are in relationships and they bring their better half. Some people are not and they come alone or with a single friend. When we have these parties at his house, it's like he becomes only my friend and not my boyfriend. We've talked about this and his stance is he really doesn't like letting people feel like a 3rd wheel. He's been a 3rd wheel and he thinks it's gross & disturbing when a couple is "all over each other." I totally agree. I can't be all over him. He has to mingle and so do I. Isn't there something small that we can do that maybe not a lot of people will notice? I want to feel like his girlfriend at these get-togethers, not just another party-goer friend. These people know we've been dating for a long time; how can I flirt with my boyfriend in public where someone isn't gaging all over the carpet?
2 AnswersSingles & Dating8 years agoWhy do Indian people have such long names?
I'm assuming they are from India. Is there a meaning to it, like they have the mothers maiden name and they add the fathers surname and that's why it's so long? or do they add the country they live in to their last name? is that why it's so long? I'm talking about names like Arackaparambil, or Kantharajappa. Also, sometimes their first names are really long. Do they call each other by their given name or do they shorten it when they are around friends?
