So, I've consulted other online forums and such, and now I'm coming here. I plug my Kindle Fire into my computer, unlock it, and then go to My Computer and look for the Kindle. There's nothing there. Nothing new pops up in My Computer after connecting the Kindle. I tried all my ports, restarting my Kindle, and restarting my computer. I read the Kindle Fire User's Guide, and it said that first you connect your Kindle Fire to your computer with a micro-USB cable (sold separately). So I used my old phone cord, which said it would work with any Android device. There's my first mistake; it's probably the cord. But the Kindle is CHARGING, so I would assume it's connected, correct? Plus all it is is a Micro USB - those things practically grow on trees! Well, anyway; moving on.

2 - slide the arrow from left to right to unlock your Kindle.

3- Open the Kindle Fire drive on your computer. Your Kindle Fire will appear as an external storage drive or volume on the computer's desktop. (THAT'S THE PROBLEM! I can't find it anywhere; not the desktop, not in My Computer, not in the Device Manager, not any random place I'd never think it to be) Note that the Kindle Fire is not usable as a device while connected to your computer as a storage drive or volume.

4- Drag and drop your content into the applicable content folder, such as Music or Pictures.

To me that sounds like something should pop up automatically. Nothing does.

I tried connecting the Kindle while it's off, on, locked, and unlocked. Nothing. By some weird fluke I can't find another USB cable at my house, and as previously stated, it's 2AM, so I can't go buy one. I'm 75% sure it must be the cord. But I'm 95% sure I'm just a huge idiot and am doing something horrendously stupid and missing the obvious. But does anyone PLEASE have any suggestions on how to fix this?

I'm trying to upload my music into Amazon Cloud; all of my music is in folders by artist, then inside those in folders by album. I tried just selecting all the folders, but it forces me to open the folder and get to the MP3 before I can upload it. It's 2 AM and instead of sitting here all night either trying to find a different way or manually selecting all my MP3s, I'm choosing to ask you guys! Now I'm wondering if there's a way for me to select all my MP3s without having to go inside every folder and take the MP3.

Now, you must know, there's always the chance that I'm a complete idiot and missing a really obvious fix to this. So Whatever advice you can offer would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance! :]

In iTunes, I combined the albums that had been split by artist and I added cover art to all the albums that it was available to. I dragged my entire music folder (under "library", I clicked and dragged the word "music") into "Molly's iPod". When I opened my music on my iPod, nothing had changed. How do I change the information on my iPod so no albums are split and albums have cover art?

I'm going camping and I want to take the pictures off my phone so I can take more. I have a USB cable, but I CAN'T figure out how to put the pictures on my computer. I hear a lot of people are having the same problem. So I got a tip on my phone (from AT&T) saying to e-mail them to my computer for safe-keeping.

But if I go to my photos gallery, and open the options, there's a send option, but I can only send it via "Message", "Bluetooth", or send it "To HP's Snapfish".

Then if I open a new e-mail to send from my phone, I can't find an option to insert anything.

How do I put pictures in an e-mail??

OR...If you know how to take them off my phone with the USB cable, that would be greatly appreciated too.

I do not own a Micro SD Card.

I installed skype 4.0 to talk to my best friend, who lives three hours away. I didn't want it for any other purpose. The first time I tried it, it wouldn't work, and I never got around to using it again....and I've never wanted to use it. My brother got sorta mad when he saw the icon on my desktop, but I explained then said that I can't get it to work anyway, and he said "good" and was fine...but he's really nice so I think he just thinks I'm too young............and I've heard about viruses and hackers coming from Skype, and lately my computer has been really really slow.

I tried to remove it by going to "start", "Control Panel", "Programs", and "Uninstall a Program"...I clicked on skype and then clicked "uninstall", and a window that says "preparing to remove" stays there for about 20 seconds. But then a window from one of my security programs says "An unidentified program wants access to your computer" with the options "Cancel-I don't know where this program is from and I've never used it before" or "Allow-I know where this program is from and I've used it before"

When I clicked "details", it says this:

What do I do?!

I was trying to send an e-mail to someone, they made a typing error when they gave me their address. I was very careful to check that it was matching...but it was wrong. I sent it to the wrong person. Then I found out that the address was wrong, and I know that I can't get it back, so I sent an e-mail explaining that it was the wrong person. I also checked, and YES, the e-mail address IS taken. Someone owns it.

I haven't gotten a reply yet, but I'm worrying myself sick! I know they might not open it, and the subject of the next e-mail i sent said to delete them both, but I can't know if they will...what do you think will happen??

If you wanna know what was in the e-mail, it was what I've written so far of a story. I was sending it to a friend. I know the person probably won't care, but I'm really worrying what they'll think or do with it.

I know that's not the most important thing...I'm also worrying about the fact that they have my e-mail address now...

What do you think will happen? Do you think they'll be nice and delete it? What do you think are the chances that they're creepy and will keep e-mailing me?

I found a site for free ebooks, free-ebooks(.)net, but I want to know if it's safe. Is it going to hurt and/or make my computer slow? Does it have viruses?

You don't need to go into detail, I just want to know: Is it okay to download book(s)?

If not, any other sites that are: FREE, SAFE, WILL NOT HARM MY COMPUTER?

Better yet, are there any that you don't have to register on the website? Or even if there's a place I could read/listen to a book ONLINE?

I'm up late a lot, and extremely bored all day, and the only websites I can think to go to are facebook, miniclip.com, addictinggames.com, and meez.com.

Meez has too many problems, and you can only do so much on facebook.

Are there any sites you can think of for games, chat, anything? lol I even like those sites for when you're bored full of pointless games or buttons, and games that are impossible to beat.

Just so you know...Runescape makes my computer slow, imvu sucks (because it really messes up my computer), and I don't like myspace that much.

And also, I'm really at a loss for good songs. Any suggestions?

I like almost all kinds of music, and I don't really have a problem with any bands. I really like: Fall Out Boy, Michael Jackson, Daghtry, Chris Brown and Rihanna, Dragonforce, and sometimes Britney Spears. I like Blues too.
