I recently bought a new lens extender. I am fairly new to photography, and saw some photos that a friend had taken and decided that I wanted the lens extender that she used. It is an extension tube for Canon and is supposed to work on SLR and DSLRs. The tube fits my camera and the lenses fit onto the extender, but for some reason they don't seem to register on the camera. The aperture is always F00 even when a lens is attached. It was a cheap extension tube, and there was always the possibility that it wouldn't work, but I was wondering if anyone might have found a solution to this problem or could tell me what it is that I am doing wrong. Any help would be much appreciated.

I am a South African citizen living in South Korea. I understand that as a South African, I would need a visa to visit Taiwan. However, I am also an Irish citizen, and as an Irish citizen I do not need a visa if I am visiting for less than 30 days.

My problem comes in because my work visa for South Korea is in my South African passport, so I assume that I would have to leave on my South African passport. Can I leave SK on one passport and enter Taiwan on another? That is my real question, I suppose.

We recently got a new DVD recorder. It's a Panasonic DMR-EH55, and this is the first time that I am using it. The screen is grey, and I can see the menu and everything when I ask for it, but cannot see any channels. I can't figure out if the screen is supposed to be grey when it is recording or if it is supposed to show the program that it is recording. Any help on the matter would be greatly GREATLY appreciated.

I have been using the tumbledryer for a couple of days and have done a lot of loads in it. We have had it in the house for years without any problem. Now when I put clothes in, after leaving them in for about 5 minutes the machine starts beeping at me and a red light starts flashing next to a symbol that looks like a circle half-filled with water. I have no idea what to do as I cannot find the instruction manual. Does anyone know what I can do to fix it?

One of my best friends has been having relationship issues. He tried to dump her a couple of months back, out of the blue, saying that he was spending too much time with her when he should be studying. (He was really spending too much time at his other job and skipping classes to go there and thats why he wasn't doing well, not because he was spending time with her.) They got back together after many tears and throughout I was her shoulder to cry on. When she got back together with him, I wasn't thrilled because I could see that he was messing her around, but I was nice to him for her. Now he has tried to dump her again for the same reason. She is sitting and waiting for him to come back to her, and I sat and sympathised for awhile, but then I got into an argument with her because I told her that maybe she shouldn't take him back. Its obvious that he can't put his issues aside and he'll do the same thing again in a couple of months time. Was I right to say it? What would you have done?

My boyfriend and I have been together for a year and a half now. I went away this last weekend for a religious holiday and he stayed behind. He told me that he was working the whole weekend and I believed him. I have never doubted him before.

Yesterday a friend of mine asked to talk to me after class. She told me that she had seen my boyfriend out on Friday night, kissing another girl. She thought we had broken up so she hadn't stopped it from happening, but when she had seen us together yesterday morning she had realised that we weren't broken up and she decided to tell me.

I love my boyfriend and until yesterday I trusted him completely. I don't know what to do now. I don't know how to even start to confront him about it! I couldn't even sleep last night because I was so worried about everything and it all just kept running through my mind. What would you suggest I do?

I have four good friends in my residence and we are all there for each other in the good times and the bad... usually. If one of us is doing something wrong, we tell them. Now 2 of them have recently gotten boyfriends, and I had a hand in one of them getting that boyfriend. now the one is constantly staying over there and not talking to us anymore. we have made plans all 5 of us a number of times, three times this week, and each time one of them will say no and it will lead to everything falling apart. Twice I was the one to come up with the idea because I wanted to go with a friend, and then the friend said lets all go together and when the one bails, all the rest bail and I get left alone. Is it right for me to be angry with my friends for doing this? I feel bad about it, but I am just fed up!

I tend to go from being ecstatic about something one minute to being depressed the next and not understanding why at all. It will be something small that will upset me and then I just want to lie and sleep and not be anywhere near anyone. This from jumping around and laughing and just generally having a good time. My boyfriend suggested this might be bi-polar. I know nothing about it. What do you guys think it could be?

I am just curious how long ago the world started changing.
