LAN/Ethernet Hub/Splitter? How to Connect?
OK, basically we have ONE single ethernet cable wall point in our whole apartment. The router for our broadband, is inacessable because it is in the garage below the apartment. We have 2 Laptops, and a Telephone with integrated Skype (RTX DUALphone 3088). I would like it to be possible to have all 3 of these connections available at once.
Is this possible, and how exactly do you do it?
Has anybody got some good diagrams, lamens terms explanations? Not the best at this connections stuff.
Please help!

12 AnswersElections1 decade agoDoes anybody actually REALISTICALLY think McCain Will Win ?
Because he won't, doesn't even stand a chance.
Just you watch all the McCain supporters get all hostile and go on the defense to this question. Just because it angers them, that they're slowly realizing (as is John) that their hopes have long gone.

2 AnswersBuying & Selling1 decade agoWhy are the Republicans still so favoured in States like Alabama & Texas?
As a British citizen.... America in general is a bit of a comedy circus for the rest of the world. Every presidential election that comes along I always think it's hilariously funny that the states of Alabama & Texas are so far in favour of the republicans. More so this year that the democratic candidate happens to be black.
It's always been a bit of a very, very sad stereotype that a majority of people from those states remain (even in the year 2008) totally racist.
Don't you all just get a bit tired of this? Seriously move on, we no longer live in the times of Abraham Lincoln.
For 8 years the Republicans and George Bush have made America and more importantly Americans a complete laughing stock. Why on EARTH would you vote McCain?
I think this oppinion is shared by most outside of America.
23 AnswersElections1 decade agoOK... Can somebody tell me WHY it is people actually are religious? or have "beliefs" in ANY particular faith?
My issue with this, namely being the cause of more or less every war to have started is.... (quite contradictory of what is preached)...
First and foremost, exactly why do we all simply "believe" what is written in some book to be plainly true, and why is it only few of us actually question this?
Naturally in life, humans question most things, but how can it be that religious people simply "believe"... Having no evidence/proof of ANYTHING whatsoever of the factual contents of the Bible?
Throughout history, we've evidence of the various "ages" , Dinosaurs having walked the planet etc. But NO evidence whatsoever to suggest that some "miracle" man did what he did.
The whole thing seems about as far fetched as a mission impossible or James Bond movie (and nobody takes those seriously!!)
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoTaxed savings moving back to the UK?
Hi,
I currently reside and work in Sweden and have been doing so for the past 7 months. I'm originally from London, and had decided to move abroad upon meeting my girlfriend.
I'm thinking of starting a savings account here in Sweden, and plan to move back to the UK within the next few years.
Will I be taxed on my savings?

9 AnswersGoogle1 decade agoSciatica - What should I do?
I started experiencing sciatica pain in my lower back and left leg at the age of 16 which prevented me from doing regular exerise, playing football etc. - very young I'm told to experince this sort of problem. And as a result, after having consulted 2 doctors at the time to try and diagnose the specific problem, I was sent to a hospital for an X-RAY, and to a chiropractor to see exactly if there was any sort of problem.
I was told by both the doctors and chiropractic that the base of my spine was somewhat compounded and the discs were close together which could be causing the pain.
As with all chiropractors, I was given a strict routine of exercises to follow in the hope it would eradicate the problem, but I'm 21 years old now, and although it is often OK, I still experince seriously painful days or weeks where it won't go away and prevents me almost walking, let alone training or doing anything.
Because of my age, I felt I perhaps was'nt taken as seriously as somebody with similar problems if they'd been middle-aged, but I now have no idea what to do. I was disheartened by the lack of help I was given and that the doctors did not recognise the severity of the problem hence why i have not returned.
Do I continue with exercise as best I can and just learn to live with it, or is this something that can be fixed with surgery. I find it difficult to see how any doctor of chiropractic can irradicate pain completely if the discs are compounded. I don't particually wan't to have to do those silly exercises every day for the rest of my life, so what are my options?
5 AnswersPain & Pain Management1 decade agoWhere does the RCA cable plug into for sound on TV from laptop?
Sounds like a very simple question. I have a new Samung LCD, and I have connected the screen via VGA cable, and the picture is working perfectly. I'm aware you can't get sound without using an RCA cable, so i plug one end into the headphone socket on the Laptop, and the red and white leads where exactly? I've tried every red and white socket on the back of the TV.
2 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agoHow can my Girlfriend ever trust me again?
We met back in June of last year on holiday, and at the time she was living in Sweden and me in the UK. I really wanted to persue seeing her, after having such a great time away, and travelled to Sweden a few weeks after arriving home - to see her. It makes me feel ashamed to say this, but certainly at the time I was’nt taking the idea of being with her as seriously as I should have done, and although I really knew I could fall for her, I felt it to be more of a small sexual fling.
My behaviour at this time was very out of character. I had began chatting inappropriately online using facebook with other girls, most of whom I did’nt even know, nor had ever even seen. My home life was immensely unhappy, I had been living with my Mother and sister, and took a very dominant role in the family, after my father had left us a year previously, within this time we had moved home three times, and my mother had become very depressed – understandably. The final move to our new permanent ........
