What can I put loose tea leaves in for gifts?
I'm making homemade chai mix for friends for Christmas. I was going to put it in little jars, but I also want to send some through the mail. Is there any specific kind of sachet I can use to bag the tea so that it will be kept nice (the spices won't leak out), and will look pretty to give as gifts?
3 AnswersOther - Food & Drink7 years agoWhat is the movie about the earth getting hotter?
I saw a movie during a recent flight about a meteor coming dangerously close to earth, being blown up by scientists, and a piece of it still being able to knock the earth slightly off orbit so that it's closer to the sun. World temperatures rise, water becomes scarce and a family struggles to make a flight to the arctic in order to survive the ordeal. The storyline is centred around a police officer and his family.
It was not a particularly good movie, it just drives me nuts that I can't find out what it was called.
Every time I google key words, "The Day the Earth Caught Fire" is the only movie that ever comes up. But it was not a British movie, and it was not from the 60s. It appears to be pretty recent.
Anyone able to help?
3 AnswersMovies8 years agoHow to put kindle keyboard books on the "cloud"?
OK, so I have a kindle keyboard with about 50 books on it. Then I bought an ipad and put the kindle ap on it. I assumed the ipad ap and my kindle would just sync but that didn't happen. It says there are no books in the library. I opened safari and logged into amazon to see if that would help but it didn't.
I keep seeing things about how your book has to be on the cloud to access it on other devices. I'm unable to find a way to do that.
I'm beginning to assume the kindle keyboard is too old (?) to sync with my kindle ap on ipad the way I had hoped. However, if there's a way to do it, please let me know!

Here it is if you want to check out. Plz suggest how I can get more traffic. Or just gimme more traffic, ha ha :)
1 AnswerOther - Internet1 decade agoCan I buy Epson Stylus CX4700 ink cartridges in Canada?
I bought this 3-in-one printer/copier/scanner in Asia and I was thinking of bringing it home with me to Canada b/c they're really expensive there. But I don't want to risk the trouble of sending it if the ink won't be readily available. I've looked at a few websites and it seems like it might be difficult to find (easy to find ink for CX4600 or CX4800, but not so much the CX4700, which makes me wonder if that model is going obsolete or something). Anyone have any input?
Thanx
1 AnswerPrinters1 decade agoAnyone selling/giving away Scottish Fold kittens in eastern Canada?
Will be moving to Canada from Asia in the next couple of months. My husband and I see a Scottish Fold (my fave breed) in the country we're presently residing in for a VERY good price. Wud love to buy her and bring her home with us, but we're concerned a/b traveling expenses & trauma for kitty. Of course the better option might be to buy in Canada, but my net search has come up w/kitties double & over the price of the one we've found. So, if anyone has any Scottish Folds they don't want, plz lemme know!

2 AnswersOther - Holidays1 decade agoWhich is more fun, Christmas parties or New Year's Eve parties?
I think Christmas parties have a cozier feel, particularly because mine involved lots of baked treats, mellow chatting and mulled wine. But NYE parties are more exciting, with the countdown and kissing/toasting at midnight, watching fireworks, etc. What do you think?
6 AnswersChristmas1 decade agoWhat was your best Christmas gift on Farmville?
As you Farmvillers know, we recently got Christmas trees and gifts from our friends to put under them. Did you get 100 presents? If not, how many? And when you opened your gifts, what was the best one?
I did get 100 presents (and still counting, since the gifts are still available).
My best gifts were the grey tabby (6-7 of them, but they are so cute!), a black chicken, and a mystery box that gave me a gingerbread house!
What about you??
2 AnswersVideo & Online Games1 decade agoDoes anyone know this saying/quote?
It's something about being a teacher. It goes: "It's good to be feared. It's better to be loved. But the best is to be respected." That's not the exact saying, and I don't know who said it. I read it in a text book 2 years ago that I don't have anymore and I would like to find it again. Any help out there? Thanx :)
2 AnswersQuotations1 decade agoEasy way to decorate sugar cookies?
It's for a Christmas party at my school. I'll be baking cookies with 10-20 kids at a time, 4 different groups. So I need something REALLY easy and cheap, I must get everything myself. I thought the best thing to do would be, after the cookies are baked, I'll have a bowl of icing that the kids can spoon onto their cookies. Then, they can press little chocolate chips or sprinkles onto it. How does that sound?
I've never made sugar cookies or icing before, so I'm just wondering if there is something even easier but still fun for the kids to do. Like, is there a way they could decorate the cookies after they're baked w/o using icing? Probably not...?
Could I make the icing the day before? That would save me some hassle, but would it still be usable?
Thanks for your suggestions!

I vote for Internet Explorer 8. It bombs out every 5 minutes, sometimes more. I only use Google Chrome now.
I'm sure many other people will think it's Vista, but just curious as to how many.....
4 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoHow can I relate to/play with my new hamsters?
I would like my hamsters to get comfortable enough with me to crawl into my hand so I can take them out every day. I would guess I should let them smell me and get used to my hand in their cage. Eventually try to pick them up (how to do this safely?). Today, my hand was flat, palm up in the cage and one of them tried to climb the bars a little. Maybe he was scared of me. But he fell into my hand and then started crawling up my arm! They sniff me a lot and have never bitten me, but the usual reaction I get when they see the hand is they run away and bury themselves in their bedding. They're very skittish. Any ideas?
Also, part of me wonders if this is a good idea? I think some animals don't want to be picked up and if they feel like they're being mauled, they might turn cross? Are hamsters like this or do they like humans & get used them and want to crawl on their hands voluntarily?
Anyone want to share any hamster experiences & expertise? I would like to be able to pick them up eventually but I don't want to keep trying if it's only going to make them unhappy & aggressive. If that is the case, I will leave them alone. If they can be trained to do so, I will keep trying.

1 AnswerYahoo Answers1 decade agoDoes anyone think the report abuse function is a little backwards?
In my opinion, the person who perceives a post as violating community guidelines should be the one filling out a form telling Yahoo answers why it was so offensive. The one being reported shouldn't have to appeal a report - their post should be deleted b/c it actually violated guidelines or the report should be ignored b/c it was made in error (or, in some cases, on purpose but with malicious intent).
I just think it's a little backwards that I can post a perfectly good question or answer. Someone can report it as abuse for absolutely no reason and then I have to be the one to defend myself or else lose points/get deleted. I am the one being troubled for nothing. I think the 'offended' party should file a report, not me.
Also, I think if the person reporting abuse had to file an official complaint which was either accepted or denied by Yahoo, it would prevent a lot of these people from doing it just for fun.
Any opinions?
4 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoIs there anything I can do to help my gums grow back?
If so, what can I do to help them grow back?
My gums are severely receded due to brushing my teeth too hard (apparently, although some genetics might also be a factor since my mom has the same problem). My dental surgeon told me there is no way to correct this problem unless I have undergo surgery whereby tissue is removed from the roof of my mouth and attached to my gums to fully cover the roots of my teeth again. This is not an option for me due to the expense and the fact that I'm too terrified to do it. I am wondering if there is anything I could do to help my gums extend back over my teeth enough again. Someone said that brushing gently down over my gums will eventually make them go back right. I've been doing that just in case it's true, but haven't noticed a difference.
This is really just a stab in the dark, but I would like to know if anybody's heard of any other treatment. My teeth are really sensitive b/c of the exposed roots. And I'm under 30, I worry my teeth will get really awful really quickly as I age b/c of this problem (making the roots more exposed to plaque and stuff like that).
Thanks for your help!
