  • Eye Injury from a bad contact?

I wear disposable contacts. This morning I went to put a new pair and one seemed caught on the packaging.. almost as if it had become lodged in between the plastic lip and the glued down lid that you tear away. I washed it off and it seemed fine, so I inserted into my eye. At first it felt fine. Then within a few minutes my eye felt irritated. So I removed it and threw it away. I then opened a fresh one and it felt fine all day.

After removing my contacts this evening, that eye feels very irritated, as if it is being scratched every time I blink. I thought this a bit odd that it felt fine with the contact in place and scratched when it was out. So just out of curiosity i reinserted the contact and the irritation stopped. But once removed again the irritation continued. Is the contact perhaps preventing irritation to an injury - such as a scratch to the surface of my eye from the faulty contact?

    Any ideas? Any remedies?

  • 2 yr Old daughter has a Bug Bite.. or What?

My two year old adopted daughter had what we believed to be a mosquito bite on her leg when we put her to bed last night. She had a great deal of trouble sleeping... though we are unsure if the bite had anything to do with that. Upon waking she was expressing pain at the bite. In addition, what looked like a mosquito bite last night now looks different. There looks to be a serious of tiny blisters at the crown of the raised bite, and they appear to be breaking (probably from her scratching the area) and oozing clear fluid.

Of course our concern is the possibility of a dangerous spider bite. Any advise?

  • What If we would stop our knee jerk political party support?

U.S. Congressman Ron Paul from Texas has been proved right time and time again with respect to the Economy (warning of the coming collapse of the housing bubble as early as 2002), inflationary monetary policy (warning of its ability to create economic bubbles to begin with as early as the 1980's and its destruction of the currency as early as late 1970's), foreign interventions and unconstitutional war (need I say more). And Ron Paul is ringing the alarm bells even more loudly against Obama's economic program, making it quite clear that what is forming is not Socialism, but Fascism by definition.

What if instead of being swooned into a herd mentality by the golden tongue and 'coolness' of Obama, or driven further into the Neo Con stupidity by people like Sean Hannity, the American people showed more than knee jerk ideology or hero worship and actually listened to people like Ron Paul to begin with? Would we have had a 9/11? Would we have an economic crisis? Would we be headed for a depression like the one Obama's policies have set on the near horizon?

  • Why were we attacked by Islamic terrorist on 9/11?

After 9/11, President Bush claimed that we were attacked because they hated our freedom. It has been repeated by any number of our political elites that Muslim extremist want to engage in attacks because of our culture (open homosexuality, women's rights, Hollywood, beer drinking, what have you...). But the evidence indicates that although they do not like our culture and ways, this is not what motivated the 9/11 terrorist or Al Qaeda.

Does anyone know what the real reasons for these attacks were, and why Obama's foreign policy will only continue the contempt that much of the Muslim world feels towards America?

  • Taking plavix and having bad side effects?

My Doctor put me on plavix due to an injury I sustained to my carotid artery. Shortly after I started the medication, my sinuses became a problem. I can barely breath through my nose sometimes and when I clear them, a bloody clot seems to dislodge. I've contacted the Doctor but haven't heard back from him yet. I'm supposed to take more tonight, but don't want to. Any thoughts?

  • Relief for baby's constipation?

Our 3 month old grandson just started on some new formula a few days ago. His daddy told me his last bowl movement was unusually hard. Now he is here and very upset... nothing seems to comfort him and he is passing gas occasionally. We think he is severely constipated. Any ideas on how to relieve this?

  • Hyper sensitivity after a stroke?

My sister-in-law suffered two strokes (one to each side of her brain) about a month and a half ago. It effected her vision and fine motor skills among other things. Yet the most curious thing seems to have happened -- she complains about pain and discomfort even from a minor touch from someone else. She is now home and my wife is adding her recovery and therapy. In simply brushing up against her while helping her get dressed, her sister thought she was being scratched. She had physical therapy today and complains that the belt they use (to help in case she losses her balance) is injuring her. Is this a possible after effect of strokes, or could there be another explanation?

  • A lump on babies neck?

My 2 week old grandson just arrived for a visit with mom and dad. The parents just discovered a lump on the left side of his neck. It is hard to the touch and seems fairly fixed in position (not floating loosely) but he gives no indication of pain or discomfort when it is touched. Any ideas? We are concerned.
