I stopped cutting almost nine weeks ago, but the feelings were getting stronger and although I knew that I did not want to cut again, I felt like I had to. I tried all the distraction techniques that I knew of, and the feelings were still there until it came to emptying a sandpit. The boxes that I used had some sharp edges that I could feel digging into my arms and wrists. At this point, I should have put something with longer sleeves to cover my arms so that they didn't get cut, but I carried on- and now I have about ten cuts on my arms...it's a little worrying that I went so long without cutting and then did it like this...so what do you think...Self harm, or an accident, I'd be interested to know what you think.

Did anyone else start feling really sad when they noticed their baby really wasn't a baby anymore...my daughter just turned two, and she's potty trained, sleeps in a bed rather than a cot, eats all by herself, uses 'big girl' cups for her drinks, okay she spills sometimes, but she knows how to use them...

It just makes me see that she's growing up so fast, and I miss her being little! I was told so many times 'She won't be a baby for long'...but the truth of it never quite hit until now.

So my question is, did any of you feel sad when you noticed your children growing up so fast? How did you deal with it?

I know that she is turning into a marvellous little girl, but it's so depressing! Is there such a thing as the two year blues?

I think I'd have had the washing up done quicker, and watched more boring telly...

For me, it hit me today. I was reading an Agony Aunt page in a magazine and actually looked for thumbs up option to say I agreed with the answer...
