When I woke up the streamer I was watching had ended and apparently raided someone playing Until Dawn. First thing on the screen was a fight against a Wendigo.

How ruined is the game for someone who has yet to play Until Dawn, knowing that a Wendigo is likely some type of late-game antagonist?

For example, bystanders taking out their cell phones and filming a car accident instead of calling an ambulance or trying to help in some way.

I seem to recall there being a term that describes this behavior. The word "sensation" comes to mind but I honestly don't remember. Would appreciate any help.

I started a war with Japan, took their capitol and then they offered me a deal for peace that included ceding their capital and they also offered me Stockholm. I accepted the deal because they also offered a lot of gold, gpt and 4 or 5 luxury resources but only afterwards did I stop to think whether Stockholm was a city-state or not (I haven't met all civs yet).

The game never gave me the option to liberate the city. Is it still possible?

It s about a guy (likely teenager) who finds a weird-looking hole in his bedroom wall. Being the oversexed teen that he is, he decides to put his dick in it and the end of the short reveals that the damn thing is pregnant somehow and I believe it even ends up giving birth to some monster creature. I think it might even have gone so far as to have him try to raise the creature and his mom finds out and ends up killing the thing, which angers the being in the wall and that s where my memory of this short ends.

I need peace of mind because I m now not even sure if I just had a really messed up dream or if this was actually a short film I saw once.

I m preparing myself for a writing challenge (NaNoWriMo) and plan to write the last novel of a trilogy for the challenge. I m currently re-reading the second part but generally only have time to read in bed. I don t own a tablet and reading on my laptop is a pain due to positioning issues.

I m looking for an app for my phone that will allow me to read, close the app and then resume where I left off previously when I open it again. I have the word file (docx format) which I can also convert to PDF if necessary but that will mess up my formatting so docx is preferable. But my priority is being able to open the file where I stopped reading. Having to scroll through dozens (and eventually hundreds) of pages every time is becoming a bother.

Can only choose one. They both look great. I know their genres are different but based on your own opinion, which deserves my money more?

What I remember is that the movie is at least from 2000+. I remember it being about a (Spanish?) guy and his wife. The guy discovers/builds a portal to some evil, hellish mirror world of our own in what I think was his basement.

Somewhere near the end of the movie he gets trapped in the evil mirror world and his evil doppelganger takes over his life.

Tiny little fella. Noticed him sitting beside the door mat just outside the back door. I thought he was dead at first so I gave him a gentle poke and he moved.

Grabbed a cig in the yard and when I went back in he was gone. Couple hours later he was there again. Sitting still and every 5-10 minutes or so he moves a little.

Is it just sleeping or is it like trying to find a comfortable place to die?

I m reluctant to pick it up or do anything because A) it might bite me and if it has any disease it ll infect me B) if it is dying and I can t do anything, picking it up will most likely just needlessly terrify the little thing.

I put a piece of bread next to it, just to be sure. Is there anything else I should do? Water maybe?

Does anyone know if mice behave this way before they pass?

At first it would shut down (instantly turning off, like when you press and hold the power button) and then start back up again after a few seconds.

Lately, though, it s been shutting down and then not starting back up again. And I ve noticed that when I do turn it back on the BIOS settings are lost and I have to either load defaults or set them myself again. Once past that it runs fine again (until, of course, the next time it shuts down randomly). The system time also gets messed up but not the date. In case that s relevant.

The PC is quite old (at least 4 years). CPU used to be overclocked but then the ambient temp shot up like crazy during summer and I couldn t keep temperatures in check so I decided to just settle for stock. Case had one fan break at the top (something fell on it...). I removed the fan.

To further explain what I mean, say a member of my team were to crouch down and I d use him as a kind of stepping stone to get higher, would that be a foul?

Strange question, I know, but I ve been curious about this for a while now.
