  • What is the ratio of immigration to emmigration?

What is the ratio of people immigrating from the US to people emigrating from the US to another country. I would like total numbers (not just for one country coming in) and a citation where I can find the information. Best Answer goes to whoever gives the the information with the most reputable resource.

  • Questions about elections and justice. very detailed, and thoughtful responses welcome.?

Here is a situation I would like suggestions on:

In a recent class officer election, one candidate (A) withdrew after the ballots were printed. Some of the people working the polling place were notified, some were not. The withdrawn candidate earned 5 votes. The difference between the top two vote earners (B and C) was 3 votes. A fourth candidate (D) got only a few. The question is: Should a run-off occur, since some of the people who voted for the withdrawn candidate could have voted for the for B, who lost by only three votes? Or, should the votes remain as they stand?

  • Odd fashion question- help appreciated?

OK, here is my dilemma. I am wearing a white suit, blue shirt, and a blue patterned tie. My shoes are also white. Should I go for a white belt? What about socks? I know these are trivial, but I would like my attire to be perfect for this day, since I believe that marriage is a once in a lifetime thing. My bride to be will be wearing a cornflower blue and white dress.

  • Catholic Blassing for an Airplane?

OK, I am going to be traveling in a commercial airplane (first time) out of the country (also first time) and I was wondering if I should be able to get Holy Water form my priest and use it to bless the plane my classmates and I are flying in. I looked and I think I should be able to, but is there a speciffic blessing the Church has for this type of thing? Thanks to anyone who knows. Please be serious.

  • What will happen first?

OK, as a male, I admit that female objectification has become a serious issue. My question is this: where will it stop- when men stop objectifying women or when women stop objectifying themselves? Please explain your logic behind this question as well.

  • Saying the rosary- please, Catholics only.?

I have a question. I am a lifelong Catholic, and I have begun saying the rosary every day. However, my girlfriend questioned me about it, citing Matthew 6:7, which in the KJV Jesus says "But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking." How does the rosary hold up to this exhortation from Christ?
