I'm not a mindless troll, if you're reading this because I said something that upset you, maybe this will help explain. People formulate questions based on the answers they want to hear. This is my problem with opinion questions on this website. I generally disagree with the f*cktard hivemind known as the Y! answers community. I not spiritual, I'm as someone once said, "morally broken", and I know for a fact (with more evidence than Al Gore has) that global warming is the media equivalent of the "bogeyman". I'm a hardcore capitalist, meaning I think that government should stay the hell out of the economy and let it work. I believe in the pro choice side of that particular argument, and I'm a massive cynic with a twisted sense of humor. These are just things people told me, I thought I was pretty normal. When I post questions, I expect strait responses. Bible passages and answers containing more than 3 misspelled words usually will not be considered when picking best answer.
How can I increase my short term memory and attention span?
I get distracted far too easily and I never get anything done at home anymore. Even at work, I tend to forget important details of the projects I have to do and often have to double and triple check things just to be sure I didn't make any serious mistakes. It wasn't always this bad, I have no idea what happened but anytime I go to do something I blank and forget what I had to do or get sidetracked with something unimportant and forget altogether that I had a project. Is there anything I can do to help with this problem? Dietary changes, online memory exercises, anything?
I would like to add in that I don't do any drugs and I very rarely drink. I drink a lot of coffee but otherwise try to keep up with a fairly consistent healthy diet.
2 AnswersMental Health9 years agoWhat should I look for in a beginner bike?
I'm interested in buying a motorcycle soon but I'm having trouble picking out a starter. In my searching I found some suzukis, BMWs and harleys I like but don't know if any of them are worth pursuing.
Here's where it gets complicated. I'm 6'5" and the usual recomendations I've been finding are hilariously small to me. So this is what I'm asking, what are some models/engine sizes I should be looking for? I like the cruisers and choppers a lot more than crotch-rocket sport bikes. I'm just commuting, not racing. Ideas?
6 AnswersMotorcycles10 years agoWhat would a switch in a pipe be called?
Hypothetically, if I had a pipe with air/water moving through it and there was a splitter in the line that could send it in two different directions, but I want to be able to choose which direction and have it only go in one direction at a time. What would this be called?
5 AnswersEngineering10 years agoA question about knives in Pennsylvania?
I recently bought a 10.5" bowie knife that I want to carry. I camp sometimes and it doesn't hurt to have a good knife around.
I've been asking around trying to nail down exactly what the rule is for knives this size. Can I take it anywhere (with the exception of schools/government buildings of course) as long as it's visible, or did I waste my money on something that I can't take off of my own property?
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agonearly invisible car suggestions?
There are cars that tend to go unnoticed. Usually they're luxury sedans like the Chrysler Sebring or a Lincoln town car. I'm trying to find one now (after 3 tickets in my very noticeable MKII Jetta).
Any suggestions? I'd really like to find a car like this but I'd also appreciate a manual transmission and most of these cars are auto.
2 AnswersBuying & Selling1 decade agoI need to buy straight fake fur?
I need either a large(ish) rug or a large piece of fake fur. A friend and I saw Get him to the Greek and she wants a furry wall (if you didn't see it, I'm sorry you don't get the joke). Anyone know where I can get some?
1 AnswerFashion & Accessories1 decade agoTire/wheel size logic for FWD?
I had a thought the other day. If fast American cars with RWD can have larger/wider rear wheels and smaller ones up front, couldn't a car with FWD make sense with huge front wheels and smaller back?
I'm sorry if I'm being stupid but it makes sense, right?
3 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation1 decade agoloud ping/hum from an older TV?
I have an older TV in my room. It's about 25 years old and I rarely used it until now. I just bought a PS3 from someone and I'm extremely aware of this loud ping noise it gives off.
What is this, and is there anything I can do about it? It's a normal high pitched screen noise that I can hear (I'm 18) and my dad can't. My computer monitor does it sometimes but this TV does it all of the time, turning down the brightness didn't have an effect. Is there anything I can do besides get a new TV?
2 AnswersTVs1 decade agoI need cheap short term online storage?
I'm upgrading my laptop from xp to windows 7 and I need to backup my files so I don't loose them in the reformat. Where can I store about 200+gb for a short period of time cheaply?
I found a few places offering a free trial with 500gb but they only allow files under 1gb. I have several over 6 but I only need to store these files for a day or two. I would be willing to pay but money is short and I can't afford a subscription to something now.
7 AnswersComputer Networking1 decade agofoamy the squirrel mp3?
A couple years ago a few mp3s were posted of squirrel songs and other bits from illwillpress. Where can I get these specifically? I found quite a few mp3s of rants but I'm looking for a "squirrely whoop ***" and the other stuff that was formally released at the same time. Anybody know where it is?
Anybody even know what I'm talking about?
1 AnswerComics & Animation1 decade agoTemperature drop caused by 9/11 related security?
I remember reading a while ago that from September 11th to the 13th/14th (2001) almost all flights (at least in and around the United States) were canceled. Someone noticed that without thousands of planes burning fuel in the atmosphere, the temperature dropped noticeably. This implies that a few degrees of the heat on our earth is caused by us directly and it isn't permanent because it dropped within a few days of planes being grounded.
Where can I find the exact information for this? I'd like to know the specific details and I was hoping someone would know what I'm talking about.
2 AnswersWeather1 decade agoWhere can I get microsoft paint?
I'm trying to get a copy of Microsoft paint. I'm using windows XP black and I don't have any of the unnecessary crap that usually comes with windows but I need paint for screenshots. I have Gimp but it runs really slowly and feels unnecessarily complicated for what I use it for. Where can I download paint?
4 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoWhere can I find an 89-91 Audi Quattro?
I'm interested in buying an older Audi Quattro. Is there a dedicated forum for these or a good specific place (or website) to find one or should I just start combing through Craig's list and ebay hoping for the best?
2 AnswersAudi1 decade agoWhat kind of speakers/subs should I get?
It's been brought to my attention that the 19 year old speakers in my Jetta MKII don't sound good. They give almost no bass and sound like crap. Now, I honestly don't know anything about car stereos so I'm asking this as plainly as I can. What is a good system that I can put in relatively easily that doesn't cost a ton of money?
It just needs to sound alright, I'm not putting in a system that costs more than the rest of the car as a whole. Any suggestions?
1 AnswerCar Audio1 decade agoWhat would it roughly cost to put in a VR6?
I have an old Jetta MKII (1992) that may not make it much farther on it's current 4 cylinders. If I'm gonna replace the engine soon, I would like to put a VR6 in. What would it cost to do that? I mean roughly, like how many thousands of dollars should I expect to put into my car with the engine and installation? Lets assume I'm getting a new one and having it installed professionally.
2 AnswersVolkswagen1 decade agoWhat should I have engraved on a gold dipped rose?
I found a place nearby that does gold and platinum roses and they just started engraving the stems. I would really like to get one for my girlfriend. I love her and this is perfect, I just don't know what to put on it. Any suggestions?
2 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoSpherical Neodymium magnets?
I'm looking for a place to bulk order spherical Neodymium magnets. Like the buckyballs from thinkgeek but in much larger numbers. I read that some people ordered these in sets of 1600+ units but they never said where from.
2 AnswersPhysics1 decade agoWhat Nerf Sword am I looking for?
A friend of mine said he saw a nerf sword in a store somewhere that looked like a Claymore. Like, it was just a massive (nerf) sword, no other way to describe. Does anybody know which one that is, like by name?
1 AnswerToys1 decade agoWhere can I buy pulsating lights in speakers like in a Kia Soul?
I saw the new speakers in the kia soul and I was wondering if anybody knows where to get them or how to mod speakers/LEDs to do that. I think it looks kind of cool and I think it would add to my Jetta MKII.
3 AnswersCar Audio1 decade agoWhat is a good excuse to go to Erie PA?
I really need to get to Erie to see my girlfriend because I haven't seen her since the summer. My dad won't let me go just to see her so I need a "better" reason to travel in that direction. I'm working on a college visit but is there anything else that would work, or at least keep me there for a little longer? I'm near Philadelphia now. Any new ideas would be appreciated.
Once I go to Pennstate-Erie campus I can't exactly go back for a second visit. I'm 17 and I have a car. I'd rather not just run out there cold (no excuse) but I can if it comes to that.
