There's a skink that lives in my backyard; my mom used to be scared of it, calling it a "snake on legs" but I told her it was harmless.

Now my mom's sad and wants to know if there's any way we can help it since it's got this huge gash on of it's rear legs. My mom's been watching it and says it's been trying to chew it leg off x_x

I told her there's not a lot that we can do besides maybe dropping it off a veterinarian but I've heard that it's illegal to remove skinks from their habitiat without a license so...

does anyone know the healing/recovery ability of a skink? If I cant help the skink, might as well keep my mom from being sad. :c

It was some time in the early 2000's when this movie came out. I was very young at the time so I do not remember much.

All I remember is that it was about a boy in -- I think a private school -- where he made money from listening to classmates that need medications for this or that -- he would then fake symptoms to get the needed medication from his doctor then sold it to his classmates.

I think it was rated R?

I recall having a teacher read to me a story which I think was part of a larger book in and of itself, maybe not..

about a man who woke up several, maybe hundreds, years into the future either from being put into stasis or being cryogenically frozen--something along that. He went to check on his bank account and found that over the years, the interest kept building up and up and now he had hundreds -- maybe millions -- of dollars saved up. Happy as can be, he was ready to go on a shopping spree but to his surprise, the inflation in the economy was so high due to it being so many years into the future, one garment that was on SALE was thousands and thousands of dollars!

Aaaand that's all I remember. Would anyone know what I'm talking about? Or are there too many stories like this out there?

My friends somehow managed to get me back into playing yugioh (but I still cant stand to watch the new seasons). However, since I haven't played for years, I lack a lot of knowledge in what are good cards and what aren't. Anyways, I'm going to have a match with a friend and I've found out that he has a ice barrier deck ... does anyone know any good deck builds or certain cards that can help me? Please and thank you!

For the life of me, I cannot remember which song had a music video like this... It's recent, maybe in the last 1-3 years.

The music video is of a guy betting with his friend that he'll be able to get this girl they meet at a concert; the guy and girl shares some beers (I think the guy drops a bear can top into her drink). He later buys her a whole ton of expensive stuff to show off he has a lot of money but she thinks they're crap.

Music video ends with her walking up to him, dumps him, gets money from his friends, and walks off but with her back to him, it shows that she still has the bear can top from the beginning of the music video.

The song is sung by a girl(several girls?)

That's all I remember... argh....

I have three problems;

1) When I go into google search and click into a link, the link is then redirected to another completely different site

2) I have random popups (or rather, random tabs appearing) that leads to "congratulations!" I won somethin! or "warning! your computer is infect!" blah blah!

3) Something called PING.exe*32 "TCP/IP Ping command" keeps running up to 100% CPU usage. This was not there before when I first got my laptop. I keep ending the process through task manager but it always starts up again within a few seconds, completely slowing down my laptop. I have to keep task manager open and remember to check it every few seconds. I went to find the application through, My Computer -> Local Disk (C:) -> Windows -> System32 - > PING

And when I go to delete it, it goes "You need Permission from TrustedInstaller to make changes to this application".

Can anyone help me? Please??

I use Comodo Antivirus and that keeps coming up saying that my computer has nor viruses or anything. I tried other antivirus software but NONE seem to find anything wrong :(

Our apartment lease is ending and my mother's name is not on the lease. The name on the lease is our cousin, who moved out of state for school. My mother decided to stay until the lease ended so that he would not have to pay an early termination fee, but management is telling us to leave by the end of this month which would not be a problem if it did not include a 60-day fee. The fee entails the 60 days of notice, required by the contract, which we are supposed to give in the event that we are to move out of the premises. Is it legal for them to require us to pay this fee, while not allowing us to stay for those 60 days?

This is for the state of Vriginia.

I know eggs have protein but what other foods are there?

She's currently being fed some baby food and chicken deli meat because she is very malnurished due to having open pyometra; I didn't realize she lost a whole pound of weight until after her uterus was taken out.

-And YES, a WHOLE POUND is a LOT because my dog is supposed to be 2.4 pounds at the very least. She is a 4 year old yorkshire terrier and needs protein to recover from her surgery.

My dog is weak/lethargic, and bobs her head around and she squints her eyes like she's in a lot of pain, usually she's peppy and her eyes are round and happy. I haven't seen her wag her tail or do anything besides walk around a tad bit for the past week. She eats and drinks, but her food comes back up a few minutes later and she can't hold it down. She does drink a lot and is still pooping somehow...

She's also shaking a bit but it's calmed down now that I've held her in my lap for a while (still in my lap now)

She refuses any food we give her like fruit or things she usually begs for.

she also doesn't really react much to when we ask her if she wants to go out, like she usually does.

however, she still walks (usually she runs) into her bag that I carry her around in...

She's 2lb, a yorkshire terrier, and 4 years old.

I've set up a veterinarian appointment for monday but I don't even know if my parents will take her to the vet.

does anyone know what's wrong? or if there's anything I can help her until we take her to the vet??

I have a 2lb Yorkshire Terrier who turned 4 years old last month and since late December, she's become completely terrified of the wood flooring in the house. This is the first time I've seen this behavior and I'm not sure of what to do.

She stays on the carpet or rug areas only. She'll whine and cry at the bottom of the carpeted stairs if we're all downstairs in the living room where wooden flooring separates the two places.

I moved her food bowl onto the carpet upstairs near her bed and have been her ferry across the wooden floor but I don't want it to get any worse - I know that ferrying her across is only supporting her fears so I need to find a way to get rid of her fears quickly.

She's completely fine with being on concrete outside but wooden and tile floors are terrible for her.

How can I fix this behavior?

I've put her on the wooden floors on purpose but either 1) she stands there shaking with wide eyes not moving in complete terror or 2) she quickly runs off as if it would cause the death of her.

Any tip would be great.

Short stories ranging from simple one-shots to little novellas--and I know not everyone wants to see romance in every story they read... but those mixed with romance, what do you like to read? Sci-fi? Historic? Adventure? Thriller?

what do you /not/ like to read in them?

What kind of writing styles do you prefer? The little detail types that dives straight into raw but not too defined action? Or the styles with a lot of details so that you can have a greater understanding of what's going on?

Looking for a movie for my mother; she says that it's a tragedy and that it's supposed to be really sad - brought out between late 1980's to 2000.

It's an American movie about East Asians hunting down and eating dolphins and sharks or something like that.... anyone know what she's talking about?

It came out a few years ago, about a mother and her daughter; the father had died somehow and they were taking the red eye flight to another city, transporting the body in a coffin in the plane as well. The mother was a technician who helped with the design of the airplane and I think it had two floors - that detail is a bit iffy on my part though...

the mother falls asleep or goes to the bathroom for a moment and when she wakes up/returns from bathroom break, she realizes that her daughter is missing. She starts to panic when she asks people around her who say that they haven't seen her daughter and that she must just be hallucinating - the flight attendants can't find any record that she brought her daughter on the plane and that she never bought a 2nd ticket.

in the end, though, she finds that her daughter was kidnapped and hidden away and that the airplane was to blow up or something...
