Do you think the US will go bankrupt, because the most powerful union on earth, the AMA controls everything?
Medical, that is, making it the most expensive medical system on earth and making it so expensive that only the very upper class can afford it.
2 AnswersGovernment9 years agoWhy does the US never consider the cost of medical care as the Number 1 cause of it's decline.?
The US spends more than twice as much per capita on medical care as any other country, and yet the US is rated around 33rd in fhe world for the quality of medical care, and to make it worse, about 50-million citizens have no medical care at all. Medical care is the largest expenditure for the government and the largest expenditure for the citizens, too. If it were not for the excessive expenses for medical care, the US would not be a bankrupt country. Worse still is that reducing medical care prices are not considered by the government. Can someone tell me why this is so.
3 AnswersEconomics10 years agoDo you think the USA is in it's last days of existence?
It is hopelessly in debt; it's people are fat and lawless; it does not use the metric system; it does not offer universal medical care; it is the dumping ground of the world's most undesirable immigrants, and it favors dogs over it's citizens, and on and on.
7 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoThe US is hopelessly broke, but there are some changes it could make to bring it up to just broke.?
I'm convinced that our government doesn't have the fortitude to make the really effective changes, but I can think of about ten that would really put us on the road to recovery. What changes would you make that would do this?
3 AnswersOther - Business & Finance1 decade agoAbout the oil spill in the Caribbean?
Do you think the US has the will and expertise to ever fix this problem, given that it gave the permission for the drilling to be done. I mean, should a government ever give permission for a company to do something that it (the government) does not have the ability to ever fix.

3 AnswersOther - Environment1 decade agoWould you vote for me for President of the US, if I were to do the following:?
1. Adopt the Canadian medical-care system in every detail. I'm sure Canada would be happy to help us.
2. Institute the metric system of weight & measures, thus bringing us into alignment with the rest of the world.
3. Bar the entrance into the US of people who are not better than our citizens, because we don't want to go down farther -- we want to go up.

3 AnswersMathematics1 decade agoWhy does America not have free medical care like other advanced countries?
Many other (maybe all advanced ) countries have medical care for ALL their citizens, and they do this for half the cost we Americans are paying, yet Americans live a shorter life. Of course, to institute such a program, price controls must be made. We the people would love such a program. We would be healthier, more prosperous, and live longer. Of course, doctors and others would be less wealthy, but they would still be wealthy, but we the people, would be so much better off. I believe this would be in keeping with the highest principals of a democracy. In addition, with healthier people, Americans would be more competitive in the world.
6 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoHow should people in the USA get Canadian-type healthcare?
Currently, we pay about 16.5% of our GDP for healthcare, which is by far the most for any nation, yet millions of us don't get any medical care at all and millions more get too little. Canada pays about 8% of its GDP, and everyone gets required medical care, plus Canadians live considerably longer. Both political parties have no plans to change things, and some people have suggested that they're paid under the table by doctors and drug companies.
