My projection television shows images from a DVD player in color, but B&W from the cable box...?
We were given this television and know very little about it. It's a Samsung Projection Television HC-P4752W.
2 AnswersTVs1 decade agoNeed help with flea infestation!?
I have lived in the same apartment for over two years. I've also had two indoor cats for most of that time. I use a monthly (or is it quarterly?) flea control and I've never had a flea problem until now. I'm not sure of the reason; several neighbors have moved in and out recently -- I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. Anyway...
I'm in need of the best way to rid my home of these fleas without hiring an exterminator or using a flea bomb. I'm going to the vet tomorrow to see what they have to help, and there are several large pet store chains nearby.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
7 AnswersCats1 decade agoOkay, clueless mom here: I need non-tech, easy advice! PS2, GameCube or XBOX 360 for the family?

5 AnswersPsychology1 decade agoHere's a switch: my iPod won't turn off. Any ideas?
I have a 30 GB iPod with a color display purchased in September '05. After using it this afternoon, it will not turn off. Normally I can press and hold the PLAY button or pause & lock the iPod and it would turn off on its own after a few minutes. I've tried resetting all of the settings -- out of desperation -- because I don't know what else to do.
Can anyone help?
4 AnswersMusic & Music Players1 decade agoCan garlic cloves be roasted without their skin?
I know garlic is usually roasted within the head or in individual cloves with the skin intact. I just received a large container of freshly peeled garlic cloves. Can I still roast them?
7 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoWhat's your favorite appetizer or snack that travels well?
I'm feeding about 10 teenagers tonight, away from my home. I want to make and take a snack that'll be a hit -- something different from cookies or anything that needs refrigeration. Any suggestions?
3 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoWhat's the best laptop to purchase for my mother?
Years ago my mom had my old desktop and used it only for email and recipe searching on the internet. Lately, she's been talking about getting another.
She doesn't need a lot of bells and whistles -- she's 72 and won't venture out much past email and IM.
What's the least expensive, but best laptop to buy for her needs?

Preferably a recipe that you've tried -- not just a cut & paste from a recipe site. Thanks!
5 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoWhat's your favorite meal to prepare that's quick & easy, but WOWS your family or guests?
I love to cook, but on nights when both my husband and I work, we tend to have leftovers, something boxed or something frozen. I want to be able to whip something up with hardly any prep time, but not look like it came from a box.
I'm all about presentation -- what do you make in a pinch, but you know it'll impress your family or friends?

18 AnswersCleaning & Laundry2 decades agoMy question was removed *after* it was chosen as a Featured Question and resolved. How do I find out why?
The question was "Should you respond to thank-you notes?" I didn't receive any emails or violation notices. The Yahoo! Answers Help and Suggestions Board isn't really any help. Any ideas?
3 AnswersYahoo Answers2 decades agoA can of Pillsbury Sweet Rolls was left out of the refrigerator overnight. Are they okay to bake?
The can was inadvertently left in a grocery bag overnight. The can was placed in the refrigerator first thing this morning. The can didn't explode and it's not compromised in any way. Are they still okay to bake?
