I was recently terminated from a job I worked at for 6 years. I had been promoted 3 times over that 6 year period. The last position I was moved into I was not experienced in and my employer was aware of this. I was in the department for a year before being terminated due to not knowing my job. I had received no training on the duties I was to perform every day, but instead was told to research my job online and teach myself. Being that the programs we used were created in-house, I was unable to find any info on what I needed to learn. I was then terminated for not knowing my job.

Today I received an email from the HR dept because employees in my department have been receiving harassing blocked phone calls on the company line and their personal cell phones and HR is stating that the voice on the messages is "unmistakably" mine. I have been mistaken for other people on the phone hundreds of times. I am NOT making these phone calls. I wouldn't do anything like that as I am an adult and not a child. Also, I wouldn't do anything to risk my employer approving my unemployment benefits. In the email it stated that if it wasn't going to stop that they would take further action! This is not me making these calls! I replied that it wasn't me and I can provide phone records to prove this.

Is this considered harassment on their part, being that they are blaming me for something without proof? I don't want this effecting my unemployment benefits. What should I do?

I sing on karaoke sites across the internet, and also locally on my PC. I have tried various microphones and it doesn't matter which brand I use, I have this issue. When I hold a note out long, the vocals fade out while recording. When I play it back it sounds like the mic is cutting it out somehow. I use handhelds now, and I used to use a headset mic, but no matter what I have tried, I can't get it to not fade out.

Anyone have any thought/ideas on how to fix this issue?

I am a patient portal administrator for OB/GYN medical practices within a group I work for. We are having an issue with Appointment Requests. The way it is set up now is the patient may only request Annual appointments (Well Woman Appts). We would like to have them be able to request other types of appointments but are unsure if it would work. For example, if they try to request a "Problem Visit", it may be urgent but we don't check the portal messages every minute. We have disclaimers stating it may take up to 24 hours to respond, but patients don't always read everything written on the screen and if they don't see that, we may be held liable for any harm caused to the patient, due to not responding quickly. I am curious if there is anyone out there who works with a patient portal and can offer advice on how their practice utilizes their appointment requests on a patient portal. ANY kind of advice on how it is handled would be helpful as we have a very large group and the office managers are eager to resolve this problem.

Also, even though we only allow for Annual appts to be requested, patients still request other kinds of appointments but we deny them through the portal and ask the patient to call us to make the appt. There are so many different kinds of problem visits that can occur, and we don't know how to set up the portal to make it very clear on what kind of appointment they want. Of course there is a place for them to free-type, but for problem issues, they should be calling us instead of messaging the practice through the portal. Unfortunately we can't prevent that but if we had a better way of requesting appts, we are hoping it would remedy the "problem visit" issue we are having.

I need to print a picture so it is 3 inches x 2.5 inches. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to do this. I tried changing the pixels using an online pixel to inches calculator, but the image keeps coming out too small. I have another photo editing software where I can actually resize it by inches however, my printer keeps printing it at full-page! I can't find in the printer options where to set it to print it the size it should be. I am on a deadline here and need to get this complete ASAP! Please help!!

I am mostly against giving shots to pets. I have a 12 year old cat who has never been to the vets in her life. We have had her since she was born. She is the healthiest, most lively cat I have had in my life. My dogs have had their basic shots years ago but not since. They are also very healthy.

I just got a kitten two weeks ago. He is 9 weeks old now. I really don't believe in giving lots of shots to animals because I don't think it necessary unless they are outdoor pets, which mine are not. I am wondering if there are certain shots I REALLY SHOULD give the kitten and what they would be for. I am against the rabies shots so we can eliminate that one right off the bat.

I can sing from Baritone up to Tenor 2. I need some good songs to audition with that would show off the range of my voice. I have been out of the theater loop for a few years and I am unfamiliar with a lot of the current musicals but I can always find them if you recommend them! Thanks for the help :)

I have had a problem with my internet for the past two days (I am at work at the moment) and Time Warner is refusing to come out to help fix it. They were to come out yesterday but never did. Now they are telling me that they do not know when they can come out. Their customer service SUCKS! Everyone I have talked to over there has brushed me off and wouldn't give me answers.

Am I alone in this type of situation with Time Warner? (by the way, they made #4 in MSN's list of the worst cutomer service in the East Coast).

I am having a problem. I have downloaded a game and Windows Vista will not allow me to play it because of the Parental Controls. I find it funny because the game is Family Feud. I can play every other game I have except for this one. I have gone in to change the parental controls but it tells me the Administrator does not need parental controls. I am logged in as Administrator but I cannot change this setting...or preferably turn it off. I do not have kids so no need to have parental controls on it anyway. Please help! Thanks.

I am in a real pinch. My motherboard died on my computer (I am using a work computer at the moment) and I lost everything on it. I never backed it up (I know, stupid move) and now I am stuck. I need a computer fast. It needs to support my video card (GeForce Nvidia) or at least good enough to play games on it (World Of Warcraft in particular. I can't spend more than $300 for it and I don't know quite where to look. I have tried Dell.com for the refurbished ones, but they are not too cheap either. PLEASE HELP! I am upset over the loss of the other computer and need another ASAP. Where can I look?

I have a 5 year old dog that I had adopted very recently from the shelter. He was there for three years. The odd thing is that he will urinate outside, but he relieves his bowels in the house. I have only had him for 4 days now. He only does this while I am either sleeping or not at home. He doesn't make a big mess because he still isn't eating much from the nervousness of a new home. But I am afraid that once he starts eating more, the messes will be worse. What would be the best way to break him of this?

I always have at least one cyst or boil that is painful. They come frequently and take a while to go away. Some never do, they just stay dormant. At this time, I do not have health insurance, but I will within the next 2 months. In the meantime, what can I do to prevent them and get rid of the ones I have? I would like suggestions on maybe medicines (over-the-counter) or some natural remedies. When I get them, I soak in a warm tub, but it usually only helps for a couple hours. I don't know why I get them and I don't know what to do to stop them. I have one now that is causing me a lot of discomfort. It makes it tough to sleep and sometimes hard to sit, depending on where they are.
