What shots are necessary for a young kitten?

In the 61+ years I have been owned by cats all have been and currently are house cats.. As kittens they received what was known as a 3 in 1 and looking back at their records they received a vaccination the combined for Rhinotrachetis,Calici,Panleukopenia,Chlamydia.. Now these are general guidelines and since my cat's have been and are I opted to forgo the Leukemia and rabies. I also had them vaccinated for Distemper, since many moons ago my house cat who thankfully was inoculated for distemper and came down with it (but on a milder side, but she was pretty sick for a while) from a stray male who sprayed on our screen door who was infected. It would be best to ask your vet what they recommend today as my remaining cat is 16 now. Your kitten will need to be vaccinated at 8,12, and 16 weeks then annually. I have owned cats almost my hole life and have never gotten shots for any of our cats, they can make a cat sick, shots, and drugs and vaccinations are all very bad, my lil bro and I are the healthiest out of all 7 of my brothers and sister and my lil bro and i are the only 2 who never got a shot in our life's, yet my big bro got cancer from a shot, and my other big bro is 22 and has the brain of a 2 year old from a measles shot, so if you cat is a indoor cat i'd get no shots for it, if its outdoor or indoor and outdoor i'd maybe get a rabies shot for it, hope that helps.

Finish the entire round of kitten shots. Make sure they aren't "combo" shots. Don't get all the shots in one visit to reduce the chance of reaction. And each shot should go in a different leg - there is a protocol for this. This should provide most of the immunity that he will need for his lifetime.

And then STOP there. The only exception is if you either show your cats or board them.
