We are getting my boyfriend's daughter an Ipod touch. We want her to be able to download apps ( games etc) but I don't want to synch with my itunes account and she doesn't have her own computer. Can we activate it without using a PC and create an itunes account for her to use to download apps directly on to the touch ?

A friend of mine said that he wet his pants while caught in traffic last week. When I expressed concern ( ie - maybe you should see a doctor to see if something is wrong) he said" everyone has wet his pants at least once as an adult and most women more than once. Well, I am a 40 year old woman who has not wet her pants in 35 years so I think maybe he should see a doctor. Am I wrong? Have most adults had accidents?

I have the phone and internet through the cable company and I never had any problems with being on the internet and the phone. I bought a new lynksis router a couple of weeks ago and a new cordless phone. It seems to have started around that time. The cable tech said there might be too much on that frequency? The weird thing is that sometimes it does work? Any ideas before I go buy new phones?

If the administration says they have a new "initiative" is it different from a new "policy"?

I work in a professional environment and almost always wear skirts. The issue will be panty hose. I can't see how to do it- even if I cut one leg of the pantyhose and try to pull it over the cast. It will no doubt disintegrate. I know that I can wear wide legged pants but I don't own many of them and I hate to spend a fortune. Any tips are appreciated!

I am going to have surgery in about 6 weeks that will require another 6 weeks on crutches. Any recommendations on how to get ready? I am notoriously uncoordinated so I need all the help that I can get.

We have navy and gold window treatments that are way too expensive to change . We have cathedral ceilings. Any recommendations on paint colors. Something to bring in a little light but blend the dark sofas/tables and gold/navy drapes.

She left it in a NYC hotel and they can't find it. She got it at Urban Outfitters last year. I don't see any on their website or e bay. I believe it's Lux brand. Any idea on sites that sell that brand? Or where to find last year's Urban Outfitters stuff?

I came home from vacation to find water pouring in from the basement walls. After turning the water off at the street it was an hour before it stopped coming in! I called the plumber. He said that the whole line must be replaced with copper ( the house is 85 years old). He is saying a minimum of $2200. Does this sound reasonable? He says it could be more if the pipes in the house need to be replaced also.

I am making a beef stew with chuck roast cut into 2 inch cubes as instructed. I browned it and have had it simmering for 3.5 hours ( on low heat in a le creseut pot) and the beef is still not tender. Is there anything I can do?
