Dr. Oz is promoting chlorogenic acid which is in green coffee as a treatment for obesity. This sounds like just another fad to me. What do you think? I tried to find a study in PubMed but found none.

I'm a psychiatirst. I've been in practice for over 40 years. I am always available to my patients as no-one else knows them like I do. I do have patients leave a message if I am busy, but I call back as soon as I have a moment free. My wife keeps telling me she wants me to turn my phone off on weekends. She claims that I am unreasonable. I tell her that this is the way I run my work and have done so since I started. My point is that I feel it is not proper for my wife to tell me how to run my business. I could find nothing in my book on etiquette about this. Your opinions, please.

I occasionally have weird thoughts springing into my head. Things like: turtle gravitation, platitudinous pineapples, or other nonsensical phrases like that. They began occurring when I was in high school and then stopped for many years until I reached about 70 years old. When I was in my early 20s I read that it was a benign condition and I never pay much mind to these thoughts - they always come only when I am alone. I have lived a pretty normal life, never anythiing more than occasioal depression for which I never took any medicine, and in fact I have been told that I have a very logical mind and am in the sciences. My brother is schizophrenic although he never speaks nonsense, he just reacts inappropriately at times. I am just wondering if this kind of thinking is common in the relatives of schizophrenics or in the general population.

My wife is in her 60's. She's a home body and she doesn't work. I work and I get together and talk with friends about things my wife isn't interested in. It's got to be a scam. I haven't tried it, but it never gives you any specific info unless (I guess) you buy their book or books. The reason I say this is they never get down to brass tacks in their ad. AND you can't cancel their ad without shutting down your browser! Also, let's face it, there are no short cuts to losing weight. When you try to read reviews they just take you back to their ad. It's got to be a bunch of BS, but I'm not going to buy their book just to find that out. What do you people think?

I don't usually remember dreams for very long, but this one stands out in my mind. I was gazing at the moon in the night sky when it looked like a lunar eclipse was occurring. As I kept watching the black disc which was covering the moon grew larger and larger gradually until it covered almost the entire sky, blocking out all the stars. Apparently others had also noticed this event in the sky and others were terrified that this thing was coming nearer and nearer and was going to collide with the earth. On the radio the astrophysicists were saying that this was a body of dark matter which was indeed going to hit us but it would pass through the earth without any effects, and this is what did happen except that while it was going through the earth no-one could see or hear anything. Soon it finished passing through the earth and people on the other side of the earth could see the dark disc getting smaller and smaller as it traveled away. What does this dream mean?

I signed up for gov-records. Then I requested from them information on someone listed on America's Most Wanted, giving them the name (not a common one) and the state they lived in. They wrote back that they had no criminal record on that person! I felt like the world's biggest fool for signing up.

I wish to find out how many people agree with me. I don't think the judge should make the decision. He is only one person and he may be prejudiced. I saw a program where a young lady shot her stepfather to death because he had been sexually abusing her since she was a little girl. She was found guilty of the murder and sentenced to life in prison. Maybe the judge was sexually abusing his daughter! From my point of view this was a justifiable homicide.
