I live in Southern California making 100k/yr and I have 20k saved up. I could either use the 20k as a down payment to buy a condo near my work, or stay living as a roommate renting a room for 650/mo and invest the 20k?

Everything started with a weird twinge in my neck. (Monday night 21st) Did not feel like bones moving. Painless, just weird feeling….. Then immediately felt numbness in the left side of my face. This then caused me fear of stroke. And my heart began to feel heavy and cold and hot at the same time. The numbness was also felt in my left arm. There was tingling in my right hand for about a minute.

Emergency room (early Tuesday morning 22nd) did CT scan of my head, and an ultra-sound of my carotid arteries in the front of my neck and found nothing. Also did blood test and EKG. Released me suggesting follow up with doctor.

When all other symptoms are gone, there is a sharp pain near the left joint in my jaw or in my inner ear, or somewhere in between

Noticed that my normal pain in the right side of my neck and right side of my jaw that I have had for years is gone.

Noticed symptoms worsen at night…when trying to sleep when pressing my head against pillow, it feels as though it restricts blood flow in my head and I get weird warm feeling in head and chest.

Frequently have a numbness in outer to upper chest area of the left chest, sometimes have some pain, usually followed by some gas burped up. I have had chest gas before, but this is an excessive amount everyday even though I am eating less.

I end up sleeping in a recliner because it puts less pressure on my head. Takes a while for me to find a position that doesn’t cause numbness somewhere. I typically wake up 3-5 hours later with more severe numbing and my body feels cold and I have uncontrollable body shivers and I can’t feel myself very well to urinate or poop. After about 20 min, I feel almost normal and and then able to sleep for 3 more hours.

Went to the chiropractor Friday (25th) to hopefully correct neck alignment in case it was the cause. Didn’t seem to help much, felt soreness in both sides of my neck afterwards.

Take acetaminophen at night for precaution

Occasional sharp pain in chest area different from gas pain

Occasional headache in the top of my head.

During the day feel almost normal but I feel a little light-headed

Went to emergency Mon night (28th) because I was on the verge of passing out. When I rest my head against something like my hand or the wall, I felt like I was about to pass out. They did EKG, chest x-ray and didnt find anything.

After coming home from emergency, I tried sleeping in my own bed instead of the recliner, and I woke up 2-3 hours later where my heart was pounding so hard it was hurting and I felt cold and have shivers all over my body. I got up turned on the heater and about 30 min. later shivers seemed to go away and I went to sleep in the recliner. Woke up feeling closer to normal with some light-headedness.

I have $40,000 and I don't know if I should invest it, buy gold, start a business, or what? I want it to help me somehow.

I am about to file bankruptcy and next month I am planning on starting a new job that pays around 50K/yr. Will this affect the BK?

I have a big decision to make whether to finish school or take a well paying job and try and finish school later. Remember we are in recession. I have just finished my 3rd semester towards a Business Degree at Fullerton College. I was going to transfer to CSUF. Here are my two options:

1. Continue school with my part time unstable job at $9/hr with a company that may not make it through this winter. I can get my Business Degree with Information Systems concentration approx June 2013. Then I will be trying to find a job in an economy that could be recovering or could be the same as it is now.

OR

2. Take the job offering now which is driving dump trucks in San Diego which is 100 miles from where I live, but pays about 50k a year. I suppose I could try and take night classes to finish my degree but not sure where or how to do that. Or I could work there for a couple years and bank maybe around $40k and then go back to school. Or try and use the banked money to start a business.

So those are my two options. I have a very small income now and barely make it as long as the company I'm working for remains intact. By the way I'm 26.

I have a 1996 Buick Roadmaster Wagon which is considered collectible even though its not THAT old and it has a Chevy LT1 5.7L V8 260hp engine which is nice and comfortable and powerful car, but it needs some work to get back running like it should, or I can sell the car and buy my friends 1992 Ford Ranger V6 stick shift, with a body lift, off-road tires, and modified exhaust which sounds good with low miles in good condition. Each car has its pros and cons...which is the right one??

The good on the car: A car worth keeping over the years, power, comfort, hold 8 people, luxury.

The bad on the car: Bad styling (not a car to pick up chicks in!), needs a tune-up which is expensive on this motor.

The good on the truck: a little nicer looking than a station wagon, can actually haul some things in the bed if I need to, doesn't need work, reliable, sounds cool.

The bad on the truck: not a vehicle worth keeping over the years, will probably sell it in a few years for something else, its green, stick shift.

I already know how to join two tables or even three, but my situation is a little different....I have a table of mobile homes for sale....I have a second table of the parks those homes are in. I have a third table of bank repossesions that exist in mobile home parks. I can easily join the homes for sale with the parks, or the repos with the parks.....but how to I get mysql to combine the three. I want it to show homes for sale and the repos displayed with their corresponding parks. In other words I want to join two tables with similar data with a third table that is connected to both of the first two tables. Please help.....I was fine with the system I had until the boss now wants a single report to include both all homes for sale and all repos in their parks.....thanks!!

I have a form that submits new data into a database, but I would like the page to notify the user if their entry is already entered before they click submit. For example if they type in a certain username into the form, can javascript tell them that the user name already exists before clicking submit? If so, how do you do it? Thanks

Myself and a bunch of friends are renting a movie tonight....suggestions?

I just finished my first year of school towards a business degree...should I stay and finish, or take a job that starts at $25/hr and after a year I have the chance if I want to start my own business making about $60,000/yr at least working directly with the same company. I enjoy both lines of work, but I could have almost $100,000 saved in the bank by the time I would be graduating anyway...

I'm 25 and I want to start college and get my teaching license and become a math teacher in a highschool. Is it too late? Or should I just go for it and get it over with so I can get started in my career as soon as possible?

I have been friends with these two sisters for a long time. Recently I have fallen for both of them. Neither of them know I'm interested in that sort of way. I am having trouble deciding what to do? Can you fall for two people? I know I should pick one but I can't. Should I tell them, or tell one, or decide which one I like more and tell that one? I like the older one because she is a great person and she has great personality and seems like the logical choice, but the other sister I get along with better and we both have a similar sense of humor. I just reinstalled Windows XP and the computer is still running very slow. I have Pentium 4 processor 2.4ghz and 736mb RAM. Its service pack 3. It runs slow with or without the internet. Could the hard drive be bad?

I'm looking at Portland State Univerity, Cal State Fullerton, and East Carolina University. Anybody give me any directon about which school you would recommend? I might be going for a computer degree if that makes any difference.....
