  • Are there any Xbox 360 games like super Mario Brothers?

I am in search of a game similar to super Mario Brothers that would be able to be played on the Xbox 360. Something that any Age could enjoy, and it would be fun. Does not have to be multiplayer, but it could be. Is there anything out there like that?

  • Are there set rules for all non-profits, like Humane Society, that have to be followed?

Our local Humane Society used to have open meetings to the public, members of the board were donors, and each year the records of funds were available to the public... Now that is all stopped. We believe that it is being mishandled, but now just wondering if there is someway we can get the info or whether or not it is required (as it is 100% donation based).

  • Daily contacts for astigmatism?

I plan on having an eye appointment in the next 2 weeks, and I am considering contacts. I had them once, had to purchase 4 sets that were for 3months each and cost $450 for the year supply due to my astigmatism. But this was 13 years ago.

I would like the ones you only wear for a day and throw away that night, or ones that you can sleep in. Any personal experience out there for contacts like this when you have astigmatism?

I know the eye guy will know, but I'd like to do some research (prices and stuff).

    Thank you.

  • What to include and not include when shipping a barrel to St. Lucia (or other Caribbean nation)?

My husband and I are shipping a barrel to family in St. Lucia. What would be good to send? What would be bad to send? So far, I've gathered : shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, vitamins, rice, peanut butter, pasta, nail polish, and a few toys. I know things that will melt shouldn't be sent, but what might I not think about? Is this list okay so far? What else might be good to add? We are sending it to them to either use themselves or possibly sell it so they can get a little extra money (we are sending 24 jars of peanut butter because it's apparently really expensive there).

    Thanks in advance.

  • Theme park dining with allergies??? Lemon, peanuts, dairy (yes, allergy to dairy not intolerance)?

When I offered to take my niece to Universal Studios, I did not know about her allergies. Now, I'm taking an 8 year tomorrow that is allergic to peanuts, dairy in any form or amount, lemon, watermelon, and pears. We have an EPI pen (she's never had to use it before and we REALLY prefer we not use it either) due to the severity of the allergies. I know I can ask when we get there for a manager of a place, but any ideas of what will probably be okay (that way we stop in an appropriate food place)? We are bringing sliced apples for snacks. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

  • Allergies to milk, peanuts, lemon, watermelon, and pears... What to eat at theme park?

When I offered to take my niece to Universal Studios, I did not know about her allergies. Now, I'm taking an 8 year tomorrow that is allergic to peanuts, dairy in any form or amount, lemon, watermelon, and pears. We have an EPI pen (she's never had to use it before and we REALLY prefer we not use it either) due to the severity of the allergies. I know I can ask when we get there for a manager of a place, but I don't want to deal with that. What should I pack for lunch? She's got blueberry pop tarts for breakfast, and I thought we'd take an extra as a snack but beyond that and a bologna sandwich with sliced apples, I'm not sure. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

  • How much to replace/install 13 SEER AC unit (inside and outside)?

My AC apparently needs to be replaced. Of course, I will have one or two more people come out before I replace it for second and third opinions. However, I just wanted to know an approximate cost associated to replacing. It will be 13 SEER unit, replace outside and attic parts. I got a quote of 3500-4000 from the person who came out to repair a part but its got more problems and constantly blows the breaker and overheats. I'm hoping its less than 3500...

  • How can I train my 11 month old Husky/Akita to stop destroying my home?

My husband and I got a second dog from our local humane society. He was 4 months old when we got him. We both work, and therefore, he does get left at home alone. Up until 10 days ago, he was crated (with no prejudice) and behaved well other than a little barking. 10 days ago, he learned how to pop open his crate door, so we tied it. Then he destroyed the crate by breaking the top and bottom apart. He destroyed a medical machine and some shoes when he broke loose (he was locked in the bedroom). He also destroyed carpet at the door (digging at it to get out).

I thought it may be anxiety, so we got him a Thunder Shirt and calming treats and a new crate (the best one we found on the internet that was plastic; I won't get a metal one). Those didn't work. So, we left him out for an hour with free roam of the home with our 9 yr old lab mix who has excellent manners. Came home to more chewed up stuff (clothes, a bag of cough drops, pillow, and other things). He is completely behaved when we are home and never gets in trouble.

Need help. Re-homing is not an option, but he has to learn not to chew on things other than the tons of toys we leave out or bones we leave out... Ideas? Obviously, leaving him in one room is not an option since he'll destroy the floor. Also, he does get exercise and we have a fenced yard he gets free time in.

  • Roadtrip for anniversary... where to?

Our first anniversary is at the end of the summer. We live in central Florida, and we'd like to 'get away' for about 5 days around that time. We want to keep the drive to under 12 hours if possible. Any ideas of where to go? (We are 2 hours south of Orlando, so it takes about 4 hours to get to the Georgia border if we go straight north.) We are considering Williamsburg, VA but it's a bit longer than I would like. We aren't hikers or rock climbers, so places solely for those purposes won't be good for us.

  • I'm rescuing a rabbit today... what's most important to think about/know/get?

Okay, so the humane society in my city has had a rabbit there for about 2 or 3 months. I'm rescuing him today (neutered already). They say he's around 1 or 2 years. I've owned rabbits before, but the last one was almost 8 years ago. I'm purchasing his cage today before getting him (it's 40 inches long by 21 inches wide, as he isn't a dwarf or mini so I got the largest I found). I have a screened in patio and will let him exercise out there every other day. My main issue is that I feel like I may be missing something. I have Pedigree Rabbit chow and treats, as well as chew toys and a 32oz water bottle. What is most important to have if I'm missing it?

They said he's litter-trained, but they don't have a litter pan for him, so will I have to retrain him since it's been a few months? I purchased a pan, but don't know which type of litter. He'll be indoors mostly, so what works best with foul odors?

I suppose I'm looking for advice on best practices with your own rabbits. What helps you and your rabbit get along? What is most useful? Do you have a favorite item that you bought for your rabbit?

    Thanks!!!

  • Healthy dinners without tomatoes, mushrooms, squash, or onions...?

Seems impossible to find good healthy or lower calorie meals with tomatoes, squash, mushrooms, or onions. Due to allergies and extreme dislike, these need to be left out. Also, not a big fan of seafood (besides a non-fishy tilapia or something).

A prep time of less than 20 minutes and cook time of less than 90 minutes would be nice!!!

    Thank you!!!
