  • What do you think of my character's description?

He will be the love interest of my main character. His name is Gable. Please let me know what you think:

I couldn’t take my eyes off of him. He was beautiful in a way that I had never noticed in anyone else. He was tall and strong and not in that cartoonish way that most guys prefer. He was strong in mind and body, I could tell. I don’t know how I was so certain. I felt like he could do anything and do it better than anyone. He had long, light brown hair that he constantly ran his fingers through. The gesture seemed like second nature to him; a habit like biting your fingernails or twiddling your thumbs. And then there were his eyes. They were unlike any eyes I’d ever seen. They were intense and focused which made them slightly unnerving. But what really caught me was the color. It was like they didn’t know what color they wanted to be. I had a feeling I could stare at them forever and never figure out if they were grey or green. And he didn’t say much. He went about his work silently. That really didn’t bother me. At the moment, I wasn’t so great at verbal communication either. But there were a few times when I found him staring at me. Normally, when you catch someone staring at you they look away quickly, but not him. He would stare until I looked away. I wasn’t sure what to make of that and it definitely made me nervous. The problem was I couldn’t decide whether I was nervous-excited or nervous-terrified. So I did the only thing I could do. I ignored him.

  • Ok, I'm Catholic and all, but I don't see how anyone who calls themselves Christians can say?

someone is going to Hell? Who died and made you God? That defeats the whole point of being Christian.

  • Do you think your feet are ugly?

Stupid question, I know. But I'm sitting here looking at my feet and I'm thinking they're kinda ugly as most feet are.

  • Poll: Why are people such Debbie Downers? Any ideas?

All this negativity is bad for the digestion, folks!

  • Do you have insanely weird dreams or just normal ones?

My dreams are always weird and confusing and if our dreams actually mean something then I am in some serious trouble. And I never have the same one twice.

Example:I dreamed that I was at a baseball game with some friends. The friends happened to be all the characters from the first Toy Story and instead of playing the game with baseballs they played with life-size cars and instead of serving popcorn they served candy corn.

  • Poll: Are looks a deal breaker when it comes to dating?

I know they're important. After all, you have to find the other person attractive, but its very relative. My question is it more important than anything else.

  • I need a middle name to go with Hollie!?!?

Because Hollie is a simple name, I'd like something old fashioned and romantic but I can't think of anything. Any suggestions??

  • I'm looking for versions of Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty that aren't by Disney?

I'm fairly sure they came out in the 70's and they were part of a company that did animated a whole bunch of classic stories. I just can't remember who made them so that i can find them again.

  • Who was the first person to break your heart?

My mother broke mine. She's not a terrible person. I don't even know if she knew that she was doing it. I've never said anything because it's been years since we've had problems. I don't want to love my mother. I'm probably a terrible person for saying that but she doesn't make it easy. We've never had an easy relationship and I can only guess why. For most of my life, I was made to feel like I was never good enough. It hurts me to even think about it. I learned at a very young age that no matter how much it hurts you won't die from a broken heart even if you sometimes wished you did. I haven't forgotten what it feels like. You never do. You can't breathe and your chest feels like its being crushed by some unseen force and all you want is for it to go away. It's a hidden scar, never seen but always there. I was never pretty enough, never smart enough, never skinny enough to please my mother and as a child I knew my mother didn't like me. It's better now, but I had to work hard and go through a lot of tears to get to this place. A child should never know what pain feels like and there are so many different kinds. I just want to know if there is anyone out there who went through a hard time and couldn't talk about it.

  • What literary movement does Jane Austen belong to?

Some would say she is part of the Romantics but I don't know if I'm satisfied with that. But on the same note, I don't think she could be characterized as Gothic or Victorian. Please, any insight would be helpful.

  • I'm working on a story that's a modern day version of Snow White with a twist?

It's about a young girl named Angel White who's kiss awakens a boy though I'm still working on the details for that scenario. The title of the story is Angel's Kiss. It's a coming of age story and in place of the seven dwarfs she has seven friends who are misfits in the small town where she has just moved to. Any input would be great and is it something you would read? Oh, and it's a Young Adult just so there's no confusion.

  • Looking for good Young Adult fiction that is not Harry potter or Twilight?

Don't get me wrong they're both good stories but they've kinda been beat to death and I'm looking for something new. I also just finished the Mortal Instument Trilogy and The Percy Jackson series. Both of which I loved.

  • I need a name for a male character in my story?!?

He's the love interest for my main character. Her name is Millie Quinn and at the moment I've named him Seth but it doesn't feel right. Any suggestions? He's a bit of a gentleman, slightly arrogant, but simply oozes kindness though he's the type to be embarrassed when that kindness is noticed by others.
