Ok, I'm Catholic and all, but I don't see how anyone who calls themselves Christians can say?
someone is going to Hell? Who died and made you God? That defeats the whole point of being Christian.

I think you're right. We shouldn't judge people--it's not our place. We should take a stand on what is right though. And we should never call evil good.

I'm sorry, what was the question?
We are not supposed to judge people, but we can certainly judge actions. You don't need to be divine to understand that stealing something is wrong. Or that demeaning another human being is wrong. Or that murder is evil.
While we can recognise that which is evil, we are not to place judgment and say with certainly about a person "You will go to hell" because that is not our place. We don't know their circumstance, their state of mind, or if they were repentant.

You are correct. As a Catholic, I choose to not to judge others. I do not think that God needs my help in the matter.
No one can say that God does not love this person or that person. God loves everyone unconditionally.
No one should say that this person or that person is going to hell. Only God can judge their hearts.
But that does not mean that we cannot say that some actions are immoral or sinful.
"Stop judging, that you may not be judged." (Matthew 7:1)
This is followed by "You hypocrite, remove the wooden beam from your eye first; then you will see clearly to remove the splinter from your brother's eye." (Matthew 7:5)
Put together this is not a prohibition against recognizing the faults of others, but against passing judgment in a spirit of arrogance while forgetting one's own faults.
With love in Christ.

See Romans 10:6.
Also, the final judgment has not happened yet. We are not allowed to judge, nor we do we know what Jesus's ruling will be. We may think we do, but the Bible says that His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are not our ways. (See Isaiah 55:8-9). We are not all-knowing, but God does want us to rely on Him and to study the Bible. The Bible is a great gift, God has provided for us. There are people who have accepted Jesus Christ into their hearts, but may have little understanding of the truth. Our God is the source of life, truth, and love, If we do not value love and truth, then who do we serve?

You haven't been reading the Bible, have you?
Matthew 18:34-35
Or is this question directed at the Christians who condemn people? Then I agree with what you're saying.
John 7:24 and 1 Samuel 16:7 tell us not to judge by appearances.

people cant tell you whats going to happen because (yep you already said it) they arent God. Im christian but i dont believe in hell cuz how could satan have been given eternal punishment from an all forgiving God? people say that most likely out of insecurity for themselves because they are afraid of being sent to hell so they convince themselves that other people are going to make themselves feel better
also im pretty sure this question was not intended to receive a rant on catholicism

Becky, it is clearly written in God's Holy Bible that those who reject his son Jesus will spend eternity without God, in a place referred to as hell. It is not the Christians making up a boogieman but repeating a warning to those who refuse to accept the gift of salvation from God. Being a Christian is not the same as being a member of a church. I am Baptist but that does not save me. You say you are Catholic and that does not save you. Only faith in Jesus will save anyone. All others will spend eternity without God. That choice is theirs while alive in the flesh, once dead it is too late.

I totally agree. I'm Catholic too, but remember the Crusades and Middle Ages? Those people had it all wrong! They say that "The truth of the Bible never changes", but it was way different back then. The pope practically believed he was God. You would think people didn't have any values.
P.S. So first you're David, and now you're Chris. Well then.

I do not know a single Catholic who does that, but Chris/David does.
Peace be with you

Proverbs 18:2 A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.

HE HAS NO REAL ANSWERS just scripture taken out of context and SPAMMED.
HE IS TRYING TO WORK HIS WAY TO HEAVEN BUT IS DELIVERING A FALSE MESSAGE OF EASY BELIEFISM AND THEREFORE A FALSE HOPE.
2Corinthians 11:13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.
2Corinthians 11:14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.
2Corinthians 11:15 So it is not strange if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.
~~~~~Just Believing in Jesus is not enough or demons would be saved.
James 2:19 You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.
Luke 4:41 Demons also were coming out of many, shouting, "You are the Son of God!" But rebuking them, He would not allow them to speak, because they knew Him to be the Christ.
EVEN JESUS TELLS US TO DO GOOD WORKS!!
Matthew 5:16 "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
James 2:24 You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.
@Chris Your hateful delivery turns others off, they quit listening and you are causing others to stumble. You are accountable for this. Paul wrote to the Corinthians "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. DO NOT CAUSE ANYONE TO STUMBLE, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God— even as I try to please everybody in every way. For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved." (1 Corinthians 10:31-33). The preface to this was whether to follow one of the Levitical food laws, and the point was, don't worry about if it is a law or not, do whichever it takes to lead them to the glory of God.
Where is the Truth in Love brother?
