What's wrong with my answer? (Integration)?
INT [ 1/ {2+ sqrt(x)} ] dx
Let u= sqrt(x) , du = 1/(2*sqrt(x));
INT [ 1/ (2+u) ] 2(sqrt(x)) du
INT [ 1/ (2+u) ] 2u du
INT [ 2u/ (2+u) ] du
2 INT [ 1- (2/(2+u)) ] du
2 [u - 2 ( ln |2+u| )] + c
2[ sqrt(x) - 2 ( ln |2+ sqrt(x)| ) ] + c <<<===
but the answer is
∫ f dx = 2*sqrt(x)-4*log(sqrt(x)+2)+4

INT 3e^(2x) + 2/(25+x^2) dx

= (3 e^(2x))/2 + [(2 * arctan(x/5) )/ 5 ] + C <====
1 AnswerMathematics1 decade agoHow to integrate INT (sin(3x))^3 dx?
INT [sin(3x)]^3
according to the Integral Table (61)
http://www.solvemymath.com/online_math_calculator/...
= -3 cos(3x)/4(3) + cos 3(3x) /12(3) + C
=-3 cos(3x)/12 + cos(9x)/36 + C <--
but when using u-substitution,
INT [sin(3x)]^2 * sin(3x) dx
INT [1-(cos(3x))^2)] * sin(3x) dx
let u = cos(3x)
-(1/3)du = sin(3x)
-(1/3)INT [1-u^2] du
INT (-1/3) + (u^2)/3 du
-u/3 + (u^3)/9 + c
= -(1/3)*[cos(3x)] + [cos(3x)]^3/9+ c <==

y = 2 tan^(-1) 3x, find dy/dx
..........................................
y/2 = tan^(-1) 3x
tan y/2 = 3x
sec^(2) y/2 . dy/dx = 3
dy/dx = 3/(sex^(2) y/2)
dy/dx = 3/(1+tan^(2) y/2)
dy/dx = 3/(1+(3x)^2)
dy/dx = 3/(1+9x^2) <=== (Check my answer pls)

Z = [A\ (B + C D\ ) + (AC\)\ ]\
\ means 'bar'.
i.e. Z is equal to (A-bar (B + C D-bar)+ (A C-bar)-bar) the whole bar
My solution:
Z = (A\ (B+CD\) + (AC\)\ )\
= (A\ (B+CD\))\ . (AC\)\\
= (A\\ + (B+CD\)\ ) . (AC\)
= (A + (B\.(CD\)\) ) . (AC\)
= (A + (B\. (C\+D)) . (AC\)
= (A + B\C\ + B\D) . (AC\)
= AC\ + AB\C\ + AB\C\D
= AC\ (1 + B\ + B\D)
= AC\ <==
1 AnswerMathematics1 decade agoHow can i combine 555 oscillator with a J-K flip-flop to produce a perfect(50% duty cycle) square wave?
1st question.
Design a 555 free-running oscillator to produce an approximate square wave at 40 kHz. C should be kept at 500 pF or greater.
Answer:
(Ra = 1k, Rb = 10k, C = 1800 pF).
2nd question:
A 555 oscillator can be combined with a J-K flip-flop to produce a perfect (50% duty cycle) square wave. Modify the circuit of question 1 to include a J-K flip-flop. The final output is still to be a 40kHz square wave.

1 AnswerPolls & Surveys1 decade agoPoll! Would you also like to have one?
It's a miniature camcorder(very tiny so that it can't be seen with naked eyes) which will record your daily activities. The camcorder will also record voice with date and time so that you can easily trace back your forgotten things in the past.
It's like your eyes but one benefit over what a pair of eyes can do is ability to see around you as well.
Everything in the past will be recorded and you could always see what was happening before whenever you wish.
I think it can benefit in many ways.

4 AnswersMathematics1 decade agoCan anyone help me with this combination question?
There were 10 different Mathematics books in the library.
(i) In how many different ways can the books be distributed equally among 5 friends?
(ii) How many ways can the 10 books be put into 5 piles of 2 each on the table?
(iii) If one student were to get 1 book, another to get 2 books, the third to get 3 books, the forth 4 books and the fifth nothing, how many ways can you distribute the 10 books?
The answer is....
(i)10C2 x 8C2 x 6C2 x 4C2 x 2C2 = 113400
(ii) 113400 / 5! = 945
(iii)10C1 x 9C2 x 7C3 x 4C4 x 5! = 1512000
But how come question one and two are not same? Why do i need to divided by 5!?
and I am confusing question 3 also.
