    y = e^2t

    y -14/y-5 =0

    y^2 -5y -14=0

    (y-7)(y+2) =0

    e^2t = 7 ; 2t =ln(7) ; t = (1/2) ln(7)

    e^2t = -2 no solutions

    Answer

    t = (1/2)ln(7)

    e²t – 14 eˉ²t – 5 = 0

    e²t – 14 eˉ²t = 5

    t = 5/(e² – 14 eˉ²)
