I'm English. Male obviously. I have experience in counselling, computing, philosophy and lots of other stuff. I run a small website just 15 Mb. http://www.mike10613.TalkTalk.net I help others to do their personal websites too. I hope to run a website for people like me who enjoy doing it and give people links to the information they need and give them tips on how to do a web site and even put advertising on it without getting ripped off or having someone else take the advert cash! Let me know if you want your own site - you can get 100Mb of space free now. You can also make money with advertising. You can also do stuff on Blogspot. Read my blogs start with is one: http://Mike10613-talent.blogspot.com You never know - you may get a mention in my next blog! LOL

  • Am I going nuts?

I have just been outside with my digital camera - Fuji 5600 - taking photos of fireworks going off! Not easy in the dark. I had to change all the settings - like CF for continuous focus. out off 100 photos or more - I have about 5 worth looking at! lol

But Remember, remember the 5th of November. I's do penny for a guy - but it's a quid for a bag of chips now.

  • Anyone else in the UK think the Freeview channels are rubbish?

I keep watching Top Gear. I'm watching it on a channel called Dave now. I suppose, they bought repeats off the BBC. I paid for those by paying my TV licence - six months in advance! When analogue gets switched off - there could be more Freeview channels - will that be more rubbish? Why is ITV3 on 2 channels? Channel 800 and channel 10! The latter keeps losing it's signal!

  • Do you know the title of this book?

This is a very old book and a childrens book. It is about a land that is like a giant bed. Armies have pillow fights! At the end of the book the hero wakes up to find it is all a dream. The title would be good - author - brilliant. That book changed my life.

  • Saliva glands keep swelling?

My glands that produce saliva keep swelling and are inflamed. It was the left one all week. I just took a drink and now the right one is swelling? Any cures? I've tried paracetamol and an NSAID. It appears to be triggered by food that produces saliva - I was down to drinking water for a while the other day.

Prevention or cure suggestions welcome or links to info?

  • The welfare reform bill?

What do you think of John Hutton's welfare reform bill and it's affect on disabled and the sick. many sick people call him Herr Hutton, one calls him the Prince of Darkness! Incidentally, similar reforms have been proposed to save money in the United States - supposedly the wealthiest nation on Earth.

I wrote a blog about it some time ago - http://mike10613-idea3.blogspot.com/

  • Maddie is still missing . . .?

In the light of this story is the search over?

I only copied part of it:

Sadists wanted to torture and brand girl

    18 May 2007

BRUSSELS – Two Frenchmen who appeared to be good fathers, with steady jobs and a clean criminal record, hatched a monstrous plan over the past few months to kidnap a little girl, torture her for a weekend and brand her before releasing her, so that she would never forget what happened to her. The Gazet van Antwerpen reports.

An intense investigation in which a Belgian undercover officer posed as a paedophile allowed police to foil their plans.

The two men, a 49-year-old office worker from Rouen and a 40-year-old house painter from Nice, met each other online using the names 'Diablo' and 'Heliot'.

Time to drop it? Jennifer? Too tired SMGFAN? Want to get back to Polls and surveys?

  • Sunken treasure off the English coast? Send the Royal Navy?

    I read this this morning:

    http://science.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=07/05/1...

It seems some cheeky Yank company has found sunken treasure worth $500,000,000 of the coast of England. If this is treasure trove and Crown property - should we send the Royal Navy to investigate and tell them to bugger off. Some Argentinian's tried nicking some scrap of one of the Falkland islands - we sent the whole bloody fleet that time - Harrier jumps jets; the lot. Could this lead to a US - UK war of words?

Who would win this war of words? Tony Blair or George Bush? Hands off our treasure? (I think the gold coins are in little bags marked Cadbury !)

  • Please help in the search for Madeleine McCann?

You probably remember my question - it was removed and I was suspended this morning for asking it. So new question! Who is the guy going to Spain? He should have got top answer for that. I gave him a thumbs up - but couldn't do much else? Anyone else off to Spain? Anyone speak Spanish? Anyone speak Portuguese? Do what you can. The question is - who was the guy going to Spain? Valid question! PS: My account is now re-instated - I'm expecting a phone call from Yahoo's PR company! lol

  • Are we all lab rats in a giant experiment on Yahoo Answers?

I posted a question about this 2 days ago and emailed yahoo for an explanation - no response - except for the usual automated email. Now for the expose! I think Yahoo Answers is a experiment in Human computation and has been done without asking our permission first. Please read my blog on it at this URL:

    http://mike10613-humancomputation.blogspot.com/

Then let me kow what you think? Do we have a case to bring a class action against Yahoo in the courts for conspiring to mislead us and the people who use Flickr? Or have they been careless and let foreign students hack the Yahoo answers server? There is a mystery - I've pointed you in the right direction - you decide and please plenty of answers!

  • I've just sent a message to the yahoo answers team?

I think students may be hacking in to Yahoo Answers - they are up to something - unless Yahoo have a secret project. Did I do the right thing. They sent me two threatening emails last week for mentioning their main competitor in an answer. I'm English - we don't like threats - even if it is just to close my account.

  • Anyone in the UK using TalkTalk with "free" broadband?

I use TalkTalk with "free" broadband. It's not up to speed yet. The speed tends to vary. But all broadband does. On a busy time it can go down to 300K but does go up to 2 meg. When the new ADSL equipment is in the exchanges I should get 8 meg. Have you had good or bad experiences with it? Do you think it's worth the money. £20.99 for free phone calls to the UK, EU, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Broadband? I'm not complaining. Even have my website. http://www.mike10613.talktalk.net./ Opinions wanted!!!

  • Want you own virtual ART gallery or like jigsaws?

This is really amazing! Well I think so. Earn 10 points and tell me what you think. You do a jigsaw from a picture or even a video like a music video and then the finished picture - you display in your own 3D virtual art gallery. You can even do your own photos. i think it's so good. I set up a group! http://groups.yahoo.com/group/JIGSAWS

There is a link to a free program and some jigsaws to start you off. Even a music video..... but don't tell everyone I sort of nicked that! You can even put your own photos in your art gallery. if you get tired of a picture take it out. Share the pictures you have or find on the net with your new friends in THE JIGSAW ART GROUP. I usually answer questions - but I really want your opinions on this. The program is great, still slightly buggy, I'm beta testing the new one. But still GREAT! OK, someone take some points of me! You'll at least get 2 for trying! lol

  • Do you have any web space you don't use? Maybe supplied free by your ISP? What country are you in?

If you do have web space that you're not using - why not. Is it because you don't know how? Would you like to use webspace to make cash from advertising? Would you be interested in joining a web ring? What is your native language? What is you asl? (optional)

  • My last question was about a freeware web design program - thanks to Tark for telling me about NVU.?

In England, my iSP provides a broadband connection, 5 email addresses (pop3) and 15 MB of webspace. Most ISP's here provide webspace up to 30 Mb - but not many people know how to use it. Do people in other countries get the same service from their ISP's - in particular free web space. Please tell me your country, connection speed, how many email addys, how much webspace? How much it costs would be helpful too proferably in US$. Thanks ppl!
