6 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs7 years agoHas anyone fought the City of Victorville Calif.Water Dept and won?
This water dept will pass on a prior occupants water bill to a new buyer, landlord or user to extort money in order to turn on the water in addition to a deposit. Sometimes they remove the meter and then require the new user to buy a new one. And they seem to get away with this behavior all the time.

After watching the Sunday shows, it sickens me to see how the government will not take responsibility for its actions when it makes me take responsibility for everything I own whether the government lets me control it or not.

1 AnswerLaw & Ethics1 decade agoWhy buy an electric car to save on fuel costs?
When my reality is that electricity costs more that gas. I have read three articles this month that state that the average cost of electricity is ten cents per KW. But my SCEdison average cost is over 25c and my tier 5 (or marginal) cost appears to well over 40c and maybe 50c with taxes and users fees. And there is no discount for "off peak" to use electricity at night. This seems to equal gas at four to five dollars per gallon?
10 AnswersAlternative Fuel Vehicles1 decade agoPlease correct my tax mathematics. If there are 300 million people and our government spends 3 trillion?
dollars, then that is $10,000 per person or about $30,000 per household and if you live in California (35 million population) with a state budget of $140 billion, then that is $4,000 or about $12,000 per family/household? Thats $42k per family and does not include county and city spending? How much of this is double counting because of the money that is passed on?
