  • First Response test is it neg or pos?

Dec 24th FR test came back neg. Did it the 27th but it took a while for a line to show up. Beside it is a very faint line meaning positive.

Tried one today the 28th in the afternoon and it was neg. The pharmacist thinks I am. I can't get in to the doctor until next week.

I wanted to surprise my family with the news for New Years. I have discomfort different from when my period is due. I've had 2 c-sections so I thought I was sore from shoveling and playing in the snow.

I checked www.peeonastick.com but my result looked similar to one in the pos and neg result window.

Any thoughts? I know 2 more days and I will really know.

  • Advertising on websites. If you had to see ads on a business site what would you like to see advertised?

The type of business I own markets to individuals in procurement. Majority of buyers appear to be women. I am looking to see what you would like to see as information or advertisements from different industries.

For example the men will could see ads for Formula One racing, ability to view the earth from satelite views, cigar and scotch companies, golf courses (women fall under these as interest as well, again ideas).

I want to stay away from software company advertising (they have been asking). If men have other ideas please feel free. The readership currently is that over 28,000 of men and women.

I want something that would enourage you come back, not only to find out all about procurement but also to enjoy the sites "fun stuff" so you want to come back again and again.

    Thanks

  • My 2 1/2 year olds Tantrums, how to deal with them?

My 2 1/2 year old has started having screaming tantrums after we come home from doing something fun or if I don't do what she wants.

I am finding it really hard to listen and watch her scream, stop a few seconds, then scream again. It seems she is increasing the scream time in the past 5 days.

I am due to have our second child in 5 weeks. Maybe she senses this. I stay with her or tell her I am there for her but she is a very persistant and strong minded. I sometimes sit in another room (all doors open and she is safe) to give her some time to cool down and also tell her that mommy and daddy don't scream.

How long does this go on for? I never had exposure to children so this is all new to me. I find it upseting to see her go off like that. I love to take her places and we have fun while there and no problems leaving. When we get home she wants to go do something else. I know she is tired or has to eat but there is no resoning with a 2 1/2 year old I know.

  • What is a relatively calm way to stop breastfeeding?

We found out today that my daughter who is nearing two in April has her front tooth decaying that might be caused from breastfeeding. We co-slept so I am guessing it was similar to putting a baby to bed with a bottle.

Dentists have different opinions. The dentist that referred us assured me it wasn't the breastfeeding. Regardless I want to stop.

Without leaving the house for a week or putting hotsauce on my nipples, is there a better way?

I switched her recently to a bed in her room. It's a double and I tend to fall asleep with her due to breastfeeding so she falls asleep. I don't want to leave her crying for an hour either. She has never been through that.

Any advice is welcomed. Her father is willing to help. Any books to read or websites.

Thanks everyone, I need my bed and some sleep. So does she! I know its better for her I just don't have anyone to ask.

  • For mothers who have become pregnant while breastfeeding.?

I am weaning our 1 1/2 year old and at the same time trying to become prenant. I will be going in to see the dr shortly but I want to know what other mothers experienced in terms of tests (i.e. fertility, hormone etc).

One mother told me that it is by the time my daughter is 2, I will be very fertile. It seemed to take so long to conceive the first time (1 1/2 years). Should it take us longer because I am still lactating?

    Thanks for your feedback.

    Any thoughts or advice?

  • To Wives and Mothers out there who get angry?

Has anyone out there gone through this:

I have been with my husband for six years and we have a wonderful little girl that is one and a half. I went through post-partum and thought it was over.

It just seems I am always so angry with my husband. He doesn't drink, smoke do drugs or even spend time with friends. He provides for everything in our house. He owns his own business and works from home.

He is a perfectionist when it comes to helping out in the house. What I might do in 15 minutes he will take 30-40 to ensure it is done just so. I take care of everything inside and outside of the home. He will help with laundry and dishses. We have a 12 year age difference. I just find myself aggitated when we are together.

Is it because I am with our child 24/7? We haven't done anything together since the baby came. I haven't had a period since I've been pregnant due to breastfeeding, maybe this effects how I feel. Also the little one sleeps with us. Anyone help?

  • Are there any mothers out there that have breast feed their baby and not have a period after 14 months?

My daughter is 15 months and I am weaning her. However, I haven't had a period since before I was pregnant. My doctor gave me a thyroid medication, but it didn't do anything. Waiting for a second opinion. Thanks for your feedback. We are trying for baby number two and this might be why it isn't happening.

  • For Mothers, Need Advice for Christian Mommies group?

Hi there. I am starting a Christian Mommys Morning every Wed after a 1/2 mass to connect mothers and mothers to be. We will discuss raising our children the mass etc. Also for those who might need one of us to go over to help at home. This is the first time doing something like this.

Have any of you had experience in this type of group? It's not just a drop in. I really want mothers to derive some good out of this.

I'm already looking into books for mothers like how to have a peacful home and soul or prayers for mothers

Any thoughts, ideas? Thanks in advance.

  • TO MOTHERS: For those with babies around one year of age. How much time do you spend w/baby?

What I am asking is how much time on walks, reading, playing in the house, projects, talking, playgroups etc. If you can specify how much and often of each. How much time does dad do this. Thanks

  • Why are young women who don't want to be pregnant but want sex do it without any protection, then worry later?

I'm sorry that this question seems harsh, but if they don't know what or how they are to become pregnant, why have sex. Once the baby is here their lives are totally changed and they don't enjoy being young. There will always be time to have a child. Being a teenager only happens once and when it's gone it's gone and sadly so are some of the fathers.
