can anyone advise the best brand of shower door in the uk, i have had some cheap chinese brand on and the wheels just rust and seize after a few months and no replacments available, thought i would try a better brand maybe they will last, these are for hotel guest rooms.. thanks

i bought brand new xbox 360 for kids for xmas, they just come and said they are on the picture viewer, it has a file called cassidy at Ballmena its got 200 photos of a family and kids playing, i wouldnt have thought this normal has anyone else had it, the box was security sealed from currys store in the uk, very odd

a pal gave me a black and decker powerfile , there is a knob on the arm that the belt goes around with a small spring on the other side, im trying to work out what the knob does , it turns and seems to push the arm outward a very small amount but im wondering why as its a straight arm thanks if anyone has one and knows.

i have an 8 year old daughter who is saying after she eats fish batter, cheese scones, cheese sticks and chinese takeaway noodels she get a funny feeling in her mouth and nose like a tickling numb feeling, i wonder if it was an allergy to something in these foods, she can eat cheese and onion crisps though without a problem. what could be the link with these certain foods, thanks

i have a head cyst that kept swelling up and oozing i was put on antibiotics that did nothing, after 2 months it went downand the doctor said he would remove the sac that was causing the cyst, i went today and he numbed it and cut it open but said he could find no sac to remove and that i need to see a specialist for a biopsy. this has worried me a bit , does anyone know what it may be , i had it 20 years ago and it sort of healed up after being treated, its resurfaced now 25 years later .. could it be anything sinister . thanks

i use hotmail but also have yahoo classic mail, for a long time hotmail imports the yahoo mail, it stopped doing this a few days ago saying it cant connect with yahoo. i know that some accounts need yahoo plus but as far as i knew this was the newer beta mail that caused the problem so if you want to pop the mail then you had to stayon classic. have yahoo changed again ,whe i try to connect it say, cant connect with DAD yahoo check settings. i check the yahoo and all seems the same. any ideas. thanks

just got a small toshiba external hard drive, i pluged it in the usb and ... nothing, it wasnt found, i restarted the laptop with the drive attached and it found it and installed the driver. i then unplugg the drive after use. next time i go to use it i have to restart pc as when i plug it in it cant see it again until a reboot. happens with some other usb items i use as well, like a dvd drive.

im replacing a timer bathroom fan that has 3 wires, a live, a switched live and a nuetral, i wish to fit a standard fan, it has a space for one permanent live and a nuetral, is it safe just to cut the switched live and insulate it and leave it in the wiring box on the fan. thanks.

my indirect hot water cylinder need changing, i got a quote form 3 plumbers who said around £500, after research the cylinder is around £250 so 250 tit is i suppose a good wage. however one said my loft tank needed to be bigger as at 25 gallons it was too small for our big house. 8 bedrooms. he quoted another £450 to put in a coffin tank of 50 gallons. a friend said it wasnt a long job to do and the tank would be about £150 so by charging £300 to fit it he was def ripping us off. even i would think it a longer and more complex job to fit a cylinder than a tank. any plumbers opinipons welcomed, thanks

i use ie9 as browser but fancied a change, i tried chrome and safari but when i set these as default the norton toolbar i have on ie9 dissapears so i cant use the identity safe feature, how do i install it back on a different browser thanks

i have an old hp laptop with 40gb its nearly full now and not enough room to even back up my phone, it said i needed 2.63gb and i only have 1.4 left, if i buy one of those plug in hard drive things will it automatically use that for any thing i want to do, thanks

have a laptop with a 54 mbps card in, i tried a cheapo 120mbps dongle from ebay it was slower than the card ! i see they do a cheap 300mbps wonder if that would improve speed, the branded name ones like belkin netgear asus are around £25 these others are £7 to 10 would i see an increase in speed with a branded one am unsure now if these cheap ones are any use

just checking, my central heating pumpmhas failed , i got a new one to fit, there is a direction arrow on it, the old pump is fitted in a cupboard next to the boiler and the arrow is pointing towards the boiler, is this correct ? i would have thought it pointed away from the bolier thanks

my kids keep getting anal worms thought it was the school toilets, but we have a covered cat litter tray in our spare downstairs toilet room right next to the toilet, although the cat is an indoor russian blue he has never had worms that we have seen, could anything be in the litter tray that could get onto out own loo and pas on these little white worms ?

time after time my daughter who is 8 is coming home from school with worms, i tell her not to use the toilets unless desperate but its getting to be a regular thing, other kids are affected as well, the headmistress does nothing , who is the next in line to complain to ? uk schools thanks

i have an old dell with a 54mbps wifi card, i bought a mini dongle from ebay that said it did up to 150 mbps , i have a bt homehub 3 router, with this new dongle it only says a speed of 72 mbps and if i move the laptop to another room it drops to 7 mbps, seems worse than the original card which still connects at 54mbps , are these cheap dongles useless, they are realtek brand, should i go for a bran name 300 mbps dongle to get a better speed

i have a siemens dishwasher model se25m275gb when i try to wash it goes to the wash cycle but then seems to be stuck there just washing, it wont go to rinse or dry, i have to turn it off to stop it.

hi, we bought a water foutain that sits in a tub of water, where we live it hard water, would maybe some descaler or white vinegar in the tub of water stop the limescale getting at the pumo and jets on the fountain or is there something else i shoud do ? thanks
