You can learn all you want just from reading the questions I have answered. How I answer the questions that I do tell much about me. If that’s too much work, then in a nutshell I’m a Married Christian, American, Heterosexual, Pro-Gun, Conservative. Any MORE questions? “Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.” -? • Would you believe him if he came back from the dead?

In the 16th chapter of Luke we read about a rich man and a beggar named Lazarus. Both men eventually die and the rich man goes to hell while Lazarus is carried to “Abraham’s bosom”. Though the rich man cannot be saved he asks Abraham to allow Lazarus to go to his father’s house and warn his family about the terrible place he is in; to which Abraham replies, “If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.” (Read Luke 16:19-31).

So now I’m curious as to how correct Abraham was/is.

Standing in for Lazarus for my question is a man by the name of Bill Weise who wrote the book 23 Minutes in Hell; a book describing his personal experience. The following web link is his testimony which I am asking you to watch before you answer my question.

    http://www.metacafe.com/watch/852697/23_minutes_in...

The video is about an hour long so make yourself comfortable. You don’t get extra points for being the first person to answer, and I find that the later answers are usually the best and most thought out anyway. Also, if you don’t watch the presentation you are probably not serious about this question anyway, in which I kindly request serious answer only.

So now my question is this: If you are not willing to heed the warnings given in scripture regarding hell, would you give heed to somebody who came back from the dead?

  • What do you think of this fossil?

What do you think of this fossil?

Here is a link to a very interesting photo of a fossil, along with a short article explaining some of the who, what, where, and why behind it.

    http://www.bible.ca/tracks/delk-track.htm

I’m just curious as to what people think of it.

My high school biology teacher always said that all the creationist needed to disprove the theory of evolution was one fossil. (Please don’t bash my biology teach as I have a lot of respect for the man).

I’ve seen this fossil on other web sites as well, along with other fossils similar to it as well as other seemingly out of place fossils and artifacts.

    http://www.bible.ca/tracks/utp-upper-taylor-platfo...

    http://www.bible.ca/tracks/taylor-trail.htm

Why does mainstream science seem to ignore this evidence? Isn’t science supposed to look at ALL the evidence?

Note: PLEASE I am not interested in hostile troll answers or answers that focus on extra terrestrials, hoaxes or carvings. They are not carved as spiral CT scans and slices of cross sections have verified this.

(Internals structures in the rock follow the depressed contour. This track is not carved, it is a large mammal track found with dinosaurs. http://www.bible.ca/tracks/tracks-big-cat-section.... )

Ultimately I want to know people’s thoughts, feelings and ideas.

    Thank you in advance.

  • Why is the “common ancestor” still alive?

According to an article I just read at LiveScience.com, which has to be one of the most liberally biased sites I have ever had the displeasure to stumble across, I came across a sentence that seems to fly in the face of logic.

“A large proportion of deep sea octopus species worldwide evolved from common ancestor species that still exist in the Southern Ocean.”

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/livescience/20081109/sc_li...

How is it possible that the so called “common ancestor” can possibly “still exist” today?

Evolutionists always scream and holler when you ask why there are still apes today. They say we evolved from a “common ancestor” which is now extinct.

Is it safe to assume the reason the common ancestors are extinct is because they all EVOLVED into “higher” species?

Another example is the Hyracotherium, a so called ancient horse ancestor that is actually a four-toed meat-eating animal still alive in Turkey and East Africa.

Shouldn’t this animal be extinct because they all evolved into modern horses?

Also, there is evidence that Australopithecus is still alive on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. http://creationwiki.org/Primates_III

Why didn’t these “common ancestor” animals evolve into higher species like the rest of the family?

Isn’t finding these “common ancestors” alive and in the same shape as the fossils evidence for creation, NOT evolution?

  • Why do people not like to take responsibility for their own actions?

It seems to me that people do not like to take responsibility for their own actions. Not anybody specific, just people in general. They blame parents, genetics, the “system” and a myriad of other things for behavior they CAN control if they wanted to.

  • Is this the type of thing Obama supporters condone?

When my wife and I left church yesterday we saw a homemade sign (made with spray paint) that said “Obama/Biden”. Under that was a white poster board that had written on it: “You racists a--h-les can steal this sign if you want to, but that’s not going to change our vote.” Mind you, this is the PG version. I was thinking before this that Obama might not make a bad President, but when I see one of his supporters ranting with this type of language ACROSS THE STREET FROM A CHURCH it really opened my eyes. Do other Obama supporters condone this? Do these people have children? If so, is that how the parents want them to conduct themselves? Am I a racist if I DON’T vote for Obama? Is this really appropriate for somebody who lives across the street from a church? I would really like to know what you think about this person’s handmade political sign.

  • What did Homo sapiens do for the first 190,000 years?

I would really appreciate some SERIOUS answers to this question, especially from evolutionists. I was doing some thinking lately about how modern day man supposedly evolved 200,000 years ago. Then I realized that most of things we know about man are much younger than the race itself. I did some research only to discover that the oldest know civilization is less than 10,000 years old. The oldest writing is less than 6,000 years old. Language itself is only 100,000 years old? Did Homo sapiens grunt to each other for the FIRST 100,000 years? The oldest stone tools are 400,000 years old, twice as old as Homo sapiens? Another web site told me that stone tools were 2.5 million years old. Were they made by apes (sorry, “common ancestor”)? If so, why can’t all apes, monkeys and simians make stone tools? The oldest art work is in a cave in France that only dates back 32,000 years. Do you mean to tell me it took humans 168,000 years to figure out they could paint on a wall, when most children can figure this out by age five? Transportation like wheeled carts and boats are still only 8,000 years old. Do you mean to tell me that it took intelligent humans 192,000 years to figure out the concept of boats and wheels? Finally, the compass, the mechanical clock, the glass lens, the printing press, and the steam engine were all invented in the last 1000 years. I find it very hard to believe that Homo sapiens would not be able to pull themselves away from hunting and gathering long enough to contribute something more than stone tools for the first 190,000 years of existence especially when modern man went from the first powered flight in 1903 to walking on the moon 66 years later. Below are references to my research in case there is any question that I am making this up. I seriously want to know why the earliest humans contributed almost nothing to modern society. If evolution is correct and Homo sapiens are in fact 200,000 years old, what did they do for the first 190,000 years?

    Oldest Civilization

Iran has about 8000 years of history. Iran is the oldest civilization in the world.

The Neolithic Revolution is believed to have occurred somewhere in southwest Asia around 8000 BC.

    Oldest Written Form

Some people base their answer on which language got written down first. If you're counting absolute oldest, probably Sumerian or Egyptian wins because they developed a writing system first (both start appearing in about 3200 BC). If you're counting surviving languages, Chinese is often cited (first written in 1500 BC), but Greek is a possible tie because it was written in Linear B beginning ca. 1500 BC.

The oldest language was created about 100,000 BC it's name has never been defined as we are unsure which of the living languages are its decendant.

Archaeologist Ali Mahforuzi said on Wednesday that 400,000-year-old stone tools discovered in the valleys of Shuresh near the Rostam Kola, Huto, and Kamarband caves are the oldest ever found in the area.

Most researchers agree that the first humans to make tools lived in Africa. Very simple implements have been recovered there that are about 2.5 million years old. About a million years later, the more sophisticated teardrop-shaped tools began to emerge.

it is still a mystery as to who invented the wheel and when the wheel was invented. According to archaeologists, it was probably invented in around 8,000 B.C. in Asia. The oldest wheel known however, was discovered in Mesopotamia and probably dates back to 3,500 B.C.

  • What is the name of this Christian song, and who sings it?

I have only heard this song a few times. It came out before 1995 and was featured on an album of various Christian contemporary artists. What I remember of the chorus is as follows:

“We like sheep have gone astray

Every one turning to his own way,

We rejected and we despised him."

The end of the song was something like this:

    “And, oh, few believed him,

Who would listen, who’d be saved.

    The man of many sorrows,

    Christ came and…"

    (I don’t quite remember)

Song was had a pretty slow tempo, male singer and if I remember correctly was done with an acoustic guitar.

Any help would be appreciated. All I have found it something by Don Moen, somebody named Handel George Frideric, Christmas music and some other odds and ends.

    Thank you in advance.

  • warm tights for winter?

My wife is looking for some warm tights for this winter. Since I like the way tights look on her, I'm only too happy to help her out. What brands, styles, and material content can you ladies recommend? Are nylon blends warm enough, or only cotton and wool? And finally, do they make knit tights for adults? Nothing too expensive either if you can help it, she'll need more than one pair.
