  • What are the dangers of using 5 year old aluminum cased ammo?

Recently became a gun owner again after purchasing a G19 offline (nowhere to be found during covid locally) and bought all the necessary accessories BUT I'm kinda lacking in the ammo department. I'd say after my first 100 round range trip I'm gonna be down to only having my 4 mags full and no spare anything.

I did however have the foresight to keep all the ammo from my previous guns I've bought and sold over the years AND they've all been 9mm so all the ammo can be fed through my new gun. The issue is some of the ammo is upwards of 5 years old at this point (all carry ammo I've spent every range round I've ever had) and hasnt been stored ideally. But none of the rounds have rust on them and they're all good brands, Hornady, Barnaby, Federal Etc. and all primers look good to go I've scraped up around 60 rounds looking in my car and around my house. So the question is should I give them a good dust off and keep em to the side or should I have a good day at the range with em and just call it a day.

OR the horrible third option. Are there hidden dangers I should know about? When I started keeping em I woulda shot em without thought but now that in wiser I'm a little skeptical.  Would love to know if I have to re buy any of these rounds which have all skyrocketed since lockdown and beyond.

P.S. RIP Yahoo Answers I've been coming here for years sad to see this might be one of my last questions

  • Wanna start boxing where to even begin?

I'm a 26 year old Male and I've never really been that fit or gave a hoot about fitness but the last few years I've been trying to get in shape. Not greatly but I have lost a bit of weight and I havent gone to the gym in a while but my eating is back on track for the most part after COVID left me kinda broke and not really motivated. I figured that to motivate myself more I could possibly take up a fighting sport even if only recreationally. Plus it would be awesome to not carry the ol iron around for self defense in minor situations (though yes I'm fully aware that if you can run, you should).  Basically where should I begin? Do the videos on YouTube work for showing beginner stances or are they bogus?  What workouts should I be doing? What type of foods should I be eating? Kinda really new at this. And I know that going to a gym and actually learning from someone in person and sparring is a must but I definitely wanna prepare beforehand

  • What are the restrictions on owning guns if I'm living with a felon?

As best as I can explain, I've started seeing a girl who has a questionable past but is past it but didnt get out without a felony. We have been discussing living together but the issue is that I'm the occasional owner of firearms. I know that I can still own them even if we were to get married or something later on down the road, but I'm wondering what kinda restrictions I'd be putting on myself. I know that I can have them at an off site away from my home like a storage locker that's in my name or something. But are there loopholes to where I can keep them in my home? I.E. in maybe a safe that she doesnt have the combination to or even in my car when shes not riding in it? Any help would be appreciated I love this girl but I cant stand the thought of giving up my second amendment. Especially considering her felony is non violent

  • Where is the second GFCI outlet on my 2003 Fleetwood Wilderness RV?

I have a leak in the roof of my RV that goes into the wall and I thought I fixed it but I suppose not as a hurricane came through and knocked out half of my electrical outlets. I know there is a GFCI in my bathroom but that operates the back half of my camper s plugs as far as I know and does nothing for the front half where they dont work currently. For a 30 foot camper there should be 2 of them from what I read but for the life of me I cant find the second one. If anyone has owned one of these and has an idea where it could be it would be appreciated. It seems Fleetwood no longer carries diagrams on this model.

  • How do I download Windows 10 updates on HP Stream 11?

I recently bought an HP Stream 11 for a steal offline. This is my only computer. Try as I might I cannot get it to update and it sat in the pawn shop I bought it from for a LONG time. The last update was 2015. Every time I try to update it however, it says that there's not enough disk space. There is literally nothing else I can erase. I need to update this computer badly and all that I have to do so are the laptop itself (which I am risking even typing this on) and a 128 GB memory stick. Is there ANY WAY possible to get this done with the materials I have?

  • Can I transfer files from my iPod to my new iTunes?

I'll try to make it as simple as possible. I have collected music since Elementary school. I am 22 now. I have owned and lost many albums over the years, but I was able to save the songs using MP3 players (however primitive they were back in like 2006) and in 2013 I bought an iPod. I didn't have internet access but I was able to download iTunes through a disk and I put all my music on the iPod through converting files (which iTunes did for me). That computer is now, for lack of a better term, dead. The 16 gb iPod has been full for over a year and I need to get a bigger one. I literally have bought at least 8 gb worth of new music since it filled. I now have a new computer and just downloaded iTunes on it. But I know Apple products have to be as DIFFICULT as possible (I just bought my first iPhone the other day and it is just as complicated). Is there a way I can salvage these songs? Or is it gonna wipe my iPod clean as soon as I plug it in?

  • I accidentally fired my gun in the house. Should I keep it after this?

So an hour or so ago I was cleaning my gun (Jericho 9mm if it matters) which I have done a hundred times. Its my first gun and I got it for personal protection. I got it about a month ago. So I was cleaning it and I should have checked to see if it was loaded. I didn't. I know the basic rules of gun safety so the gun was pointed away from me and away from anything I would care to lose. But of course I have to cock it backwards to check if the slide still resets right because I'm stupid. And the trigger sets itself to where a pin would set it off and while I was checking the slide I must have accidentally touched it and it went off. Blew a hole in my drywall and pissed off my roommates for a bit until they realized it was an accident and saw the mortified look on my face. I'm 21 and this is my first gun. Should I take this as a learning experience and just go on with it and be careful or should I get rid of it because I'm too old to do something that stupid? I'm kind of a nervous wreck.

  • Is it possible to transfer into Pizza Hut home office?

I have worked for Pizza Hut on and off for four years now, ever since I got out of high school. I have worked every position in the restaurant except for store manager. I have worked at several different stores and have even managed to get a shift leader position for the second time. Unfortunately there isn't much room for moving up around this area and I need more money and a challenge. I finally live in the city where home office is located so I don't have to relocate. I am also well read and educated and well respected by several regional managers throughout the state. Can a shift leader transfer into home office? And if so, how would I go about doing it and finally, what jobs would be available?

  • Are 1911 handguns good for self defense?

So I'm turning 21 in 2 months and I'm looking into financing a handgun. I'm wanting to keep it in my personal vehicle for self defense. I've used .45s before and I know what I'm getting into by choosing a larger caliber with my small body frame. But most of the shops that carry handguns around here only have full size 1911s or 1911 clones. 9mms are cheaper and have a broader selection around here, but I've never used one and heard they jam a lot easier than .45s, which is bad if I have to use it for self defense. So my question is should I get a FULL SIZE handgun to keep in my car or should I maybe look into other calibers and try to get a Glock or a Beretta? I'm just looking for reliability and stopping power pretty much.

  • Why is my Vizio television messing up?

Okay so I'll explain as best I can. My Vizio TV won't produce sound. Not as if the speakers were blown. But when I turn the TV on from the power button on the remote the volume automatically turns itself all the way down. No button on the side of the TV works and only the power button on the remote works. The volume bar is permanantly on the bottom of the screen with the zero on as if someone was holding down the volume down button. The problem was fixed while I wasn't at home by someone who doesn't know what they did to fix it. It worked right for about 3 days. I then went to turn the TV on yesterday and when I did I dropped the remote and when the TV came on the remote hit the ground and the problem came back. Logic would say that it has something to do with the remote, but I have taken the batteries out of the remote and even removed the remote from the room and the problem persists. Vizio tech support doesn't know what's wrong and I don't have the money to send it to them. Now if I were to hold a button down for at least ten seconds and use the volume up button on the remote all buttons work. But then as soon as I let go of the button I'm holding the TV turns itself down again. I now know that the problem can be fixed without spending money but without prior knowledge of how said person fixed the TV I don't know what to do and I don't wanna go poking around in the TV if I don't have to. Anyone else have this problem with their TV and get it fixed?

  • How do I get the girl that loves me if she's in another relationship?

To explain a little farther, this girl and I have had feelings for one another for a while now. Almost 2 years. When she was single I was engaged to someone. Long story short, I got betrayed and this girl I'm talking about ended up in another relationship with someone. Now she's engaged. I finally started to hang out with her and her boyfriend about 2 weeks ago. Everything was fine. We were just all hanging out and then she tells me she still has feelings for me. I told her I do too but I didn't want to mess up her relationship. Everything kept going smoothly once more until last night. I became the other man in the relationship. Her boyfriend went to get her something and she reaches over and grabs my hand and we started holding hands. I was stupid and I leaned in and kissed her and now its something that's gonna be expected of me from now on. She wants to talk about it a lot now and she smiles at me when I drop her and her boyfriend back off at their house and she still wants me to hold her hand and all that and her boyfriend is COMPLETELY unaware of what's going on. It's difficult for me because I've never done anything like this before. He's really abusive and I see new scars on her every time I see her. So I honestly don't feel too bad about the whole thing. But still, I'd rather her just be with me than live a lie since this is apparently gonna go farther than it already has. Do I have the right to do this? And if so, how do I do it?

  • Where are the add-ons in Skyrim Legendary Edition?

So I bought Skyrim Legendary Edition for PC (specifically the entire Elder Scrolls Anthology collection) and I already had the plain version of Skyrim on my computer. What I did was uninstall the original version of the game, which left it in my Steam profile, even though it was inaccessible. I used the Legendary Edition disc and reinstalled the game using that. After downloading this version, the Skyrim file in Steam reinstalled, but it started from about 80%, kind of as if it had everything it needed but the new files from the DLC. When I restarted the game, the DLC wasn't listed under data files (in fact, nothing is there) and upon playing the game, I found that everything was as I left it. The add ons didn't seem to have done anything. Saves, mods and all were in tact, albeit with all my settings reset. So before I go through all kinds of hassle, do I have to restart the game on a different file for it to all work? Is there something I have to find in the game files in order to do all this? Any clarification would help.

  • How much does it cost to fix a loose DC power jack on a Toshiba Satellite?

Let me start by saying that the jack isn't BROKEN like most of the other answers I've looked up, it's merely loose. The laptop still charges, but only if you put the charger in certain ways. And even then, it's a crapshoot as to how long it stays in the right spot. Maybe hours, maybe minutes, and sometimes even seconds. I heard Toshiba charges out the *** to fix a simple problem such as this, but my hands are too shaky for me to trust myself screwing around the insides of my computer. Any estimate would help greatly. (P.S., I also heard that this model uses pins to hold the jack in place instead of soddering like most other laptops)

  • Does my transmission need to be replaced?

I have a 1998 Toyota Corolla VE with a 1.8L 4 cylinder engine. The car seems to have a small amount of jerk when I drive at lower speeds. I paid $100 to have my transmission serviced, but literally all that they did was change my fluid (which I bought and brought to the shop myself, along with my own filter). I have to say that the car's a trooper because the transmission didn't lock up after I changed the fluid for the first time at 150,000 miles. But that said, this didn't fix the problem. Is this a symptom of worse things to come if I don't change the transmission, or is this a simple fix?

  • Can you be addicted to Yahoo answers?

It seems like I just sit here (when I'm not at work or hanging with my girlfriend of course) and think of typing questions to ask people (case in point, right now). Sure, they are ACTUAL problems I'm having in my life, unlike some of the random things I've seen, but I just think that I'm spending too much time on this. Is posting more than one question daily considered an addiction? Or is that normal? I don't personally know anyone that uses this except me, so I have no reference point.

  • Why do people love my singing voice?

I used to be in a couple bands when I was in junior high and high school (never played shows, just jammed mostly) and I had what many considered to be the best voice in the world (not my words). It's been a while and now to me my singing sounds like utter ****. I'm now 19 years old and my voice sounds horrid to me. But here's the thing, everyone else still loves my voice. Even the harshest of critics and the old choir kids tell me my voice is great. I now only sing when I'm cuddling with my girlfriend to make her smile. She loves me to death for doing this for her (I even made her cry a few times because of some of the songs, but don't tell her I said that). I'm thinking about getting another band started, but I can't get over my voice. I hear every crack and every off pitch squeal that my voice lets out, but nobody else really seems to notice. Should I consider singing again if everyone else loves my voice, but I can't find a satisfying medium in it? I love performing, I really do (I have played acoustic with a few guitarists I know for about 30 people max, despite never having played a show with an actual band). Is this just a psychological issue? Should I treat my voice with something? What should I do?

  • Why does my girlfriend want so many kids?

So here's the deal. My girlfriend and I are very much in love. We always talk about getting married and having children, which I fully believe will happen because petty bull crap never comes between us and we're getting close to our one year anniversary, but we've known each other for a couple years before this. Anyway, to the point. We always talk about having kids together and it's one subject we can't seem to agree on. I want one or two kids, but she wants multiple, like 6 or 7! She comes from a big family, and I understand that, but I don't think I can handle that many children. Sure, we just got engaged and it's gonna be a LOOONG time before we can actually get married, but she keeps bringing this up. So much so that I'm starting to feel like I'm just a walking sperm bank :/ I love her to death and can't see us ever separating over something like this, but she's someone that will make me do what she wants, by force if she has to. How do I talk her out of this ridiculous amount of kids? (with all apologies to anyone who has a family this large, I just don't think I could do it)

  • Why can't I change the intensity of my lights while I'm driving?

For some reason when I'm sitting still, I can change the intensity of my lights from dim to bright. But when I start moving, it's stuck at whatever intensity I put it on before I started moving. This makes it difficult to navigate the back roads I live on at night. I have to choose between dim and bright. If I put it on dim, I can't see more than a few feet in front of me. If I put it on bright, I unintentionally blind all the oncoming drivers. My lights blink really fast to show that I just tried to change the levels, but they stay the same intensity. I have a 1998 Toyota Corolla. I just got this car and while it runs just fine, it seems to have a lot of these quirks. And I don't want to trade it in because it's the first car I payed for in full and I love it besides these things. Can someone please help?

  • Why does my parking brake disengage when I shift into drive?

This may be a stupid question, but my last car didn't have a parking brake. I apply it even when I'm not parked on a hill. I noticed when I left work one day that my "brake" light on my dash was on. I was already accelerated to 55. I looked down to find that I had forgot to take the parking brake off, but the car was accelerating just fine. I own a 1998 Toyota Corolla. Is this a safety feature? I thought my car wouldn't move if I accidentally left the parking brake on. Is this something I should have checked?
