  • Need to find a CB radio with a PA system that uses the police style beeps and warning noises?

Looking to buy a CB radio with a PA option, but can't really find anything that uses a PA system that has warning "beeps". You know the ones that cops use when getting thru intersections?

So if anyone could lead me in the right direction... that would be great

  • Ford 7.3 diesel MPG?

OK, I just purchased (for almost nothing) a 1993 F350 single cab long bed single rear wheel 7.3 diesel (non turbo) automatic truck.

What kind of gas mileage should I expect with this setup? I know its slow, but luckily I've owned chevy 6.2 and turbo 6.5 diesels lol!

  • Impala VIN engine decoding?

There is a local impound auction that has listed a couple interesting cars, 1969 Pontiac Executive 400, 1969 Grand Torino GT (with a 390, 2v unfortunately) and a 1970 Impala.

Problem is I havent been able to decode the VIN, I know there are engine codes on the block and prob a build sheet/plate on the car. But no websites will tell me much more than its a "low production V8". (BTW, I cannot see the cars until the day of the auction, so I'm trying to do as much research as I can before hand so I might be able to find a gem of an engine/trans)

Here is the VIN they have listed for it (I do know its a 2 door from the VIN) 164370T173028

    Anyone have any clues?

  • Dodge Ram running issue?

    OK guys, just picked up a 94 1500 4x4 with the 318 automatic for $500 (212k miles)

The guy said it just stopped accelerating, it would idle and then when you'd hit the gas, it would die or just not move any faster than it was idling.

So far I've tested the spark, fuel pressure, map sensor, throttle sensor, played with timing, swapped ECUs and havent found the culprit yet (lost daylight)

Basically what its doing to me now is it sometimes starts mostly only when I have my foot on the floor. Then it basically idles... but smells super rich.

any ideas popping in anyones head tonight?

  • attention CADDY TECHS !!!!!?

A buddy of mine is having a engine interchange issue with one of those GD northstar engines in a 98 deville.

Basically the engine was replaced with a 95 model engine, the knock sensor and intake was swapped as the wrecking yard said in order to make it a easy swap.

Well... of course it doesnt want to start, it cranks.. but no injector pulse or spark. Everything has been gone thru 10 times. Now this is where it gets interesting....

The bottom crank sensor doesnt really read much of a spike as it should, its more of a gradual wave. New ones were installed and still the same thing. But, if you remove the bottom crank sensor with it still attached to teh harness.... the d*mn thing runs! if its unplugged or anything else it doesnt send spark or injector pulse.

    WHAT COULD WE BE MISSING?
