  • What to do about my special needs trust for my son?

My son has schizophrenia. I worry about what will happen to him when I become incapacitated or after I die. I paid a lot of money for a lawyer to draw up the trust contract. But I think this is a really bad contract. It says the trust company can decide what to pay themselves, within a certain range, and they have no obligation to do anything for my son. They "may" give him money to live on, if they want to. They "may" take care of the house he lives in (one of the assets that will go to the trust), but they don t have to. I don t get to chose the Trust Protector--the trust company choses the Trust Protector.

  • Mountains north of Nepal or IN Nepal?

    Wikipedia says:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nepal

"…eight of the tallest mts. are north of Nepal," which means that they are NOT in Nepal, but north of Nepal. That means the eight of ten tallest mts. are in China. Are they in Nepal or north of Nepal?

  • Will using old carpet for mulch cause slugs?

I found an old carpet by the street curb. I laid it in my flower bed and cut holes in the carpet for the flowers to grow thru. I live in Wisconsin. If the carpet stays too wet because of rain, will I end up with slugs? Will slugs eat anything or do they eat just certain plants?

  • When is the best time to see blue glaciers on an Alaskan cruise?

My niece wants to know. I have been to Alaska, but don't know anything about "blue" glaciers. They all looked the same color to me.

  • How can you tell if you've been hacked?

I put my financial statement into on-line access. Now I'm scared to view the accounts on-line for fear that someone may be able to see them.

    What should I do?

If I log on to an account, would a hacker have instant access to my account before I have a chance to change my user name and password?

Now, I'm no longer getting bank statement by U.S. mail, so I can't see my banking activity until I feel safe opening my on-line access.

  • Name of the movie?

    Foreign film. Japanese?

A spoiled little city boy is sent to live the summer with his old grandma in the mountains. The grandma doesn't talk. She is a little woman who walks hunched over. She lives on the side of a mountain in a "house" that is mostly open to the outdoors. She has no modern conveniences. He has some kind of modern game, computer screen type thing, and I think he needs new batteries (if I remember right) and steals money from his grandma...or something.... He throws tantrums. They walk down a path to a little town where she buys something (I can't remember the details...) She doesn't spoil him, but she is very nice to him. Finally, he learns to love his grandma. Then the summer is over and he has to go back to the city, to his mother.

It's a real cute movie with beautiful scenery. All the characters are Japanese (?). I saw it on Netflix about 6 years ago.

  • What is under this boat?

Here are a bunch of pictures:

    http://www.reshareworthy.com/50-most-perfectly-tim...

One picture shows a boat that is half turned over. It looks like a red bar sticking out from under the boat. There is man in a suit standing on the bar. At the end of the bar is something that looks like an orange football.

Can somebody explain this picture to me?

  • Don't you just hate it when they fix something that's not broken?

This website used to work well. Now they've made it inconvenient. You go to "My Activities" and all you see is:

    You answered a question.

    You answered a question.

    You answered a question.

    You answered a question.

Of course, you can click on "You answered a question" and see the question. Then you have to go back, but it doesn't take you back to the "You answered a question" list. It takes you somewhere else. Then you have to click on "My Activities" on the left and then you get the same list of: "You answered a question"s. You have to remember which ones you've already looked at to see another. It gives you no hint as to which question it refers to. It's very annoying.

  • Do you think this Ice Dam solution will kill my plants?

This new product is a big calcium chloride tablet that you throw on the roof above an ice dam to melt the ice. Calcium chloride is salt and I have plants down below where the ice dam is. Will it kill my plants? Also, will the salt damage the foundation of the house? I won't mention the name of the product in case it's against Yahoo rules. I don't want this to sound like an advertisement.

  • Are rain gutters really necessary?

It seems to me that rain gutters are the real cause of ice dams on the eaves of my house. I think the ice dams will ruin the shingles and then I'll have to have a new roof. If I have to have a new roof then I will leave off the rain gutters and then I won't have ice dams ruining my shingles.

Who was the Holy Ghost before he died and became a ghost? It wasn't Jesus. When did the Catholic first invent the Holy Ghost? Why?

  • I read that throwing food in the trash is bad for the environment cuz it produces (I think it said...) ?

it produces methane. It said you should compost your food waste. But wouldn't composting also cause methane? How could it be that in the trash it produces methane but in the compost it doesn't. Is my information wrong? Or is it true? Why is it true?

  • What does south south west mean?

I see it in cross word puzzles. One direction is repeated. Like: north north east or east south east. Who talks like this? If I am headed north east, I just say north east, not north north east. Is there such a thing as west west north? Is there an east east south?

  • upside-down smoke alarm?

This video shows how to install a smoke alarm.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vSAe6VnxEw

One of the comments about the video says that he installed the smoke alarm upside-down (on the wall). I am wondering, does it make any difference if it's upside-down? I need to install smoke alarms. What do you think of this video? Is the information correct?

  • What kind of racoon is this?

I was in my yard in Madison, WI. It was night. Suddenly, I saw an animal about 12 feet from me. It looked like a very tall, light grey cat. Standing on all fours, its belly was about a foot off the ground. It was shaped like a cat. Then I saw it was wearing a "Lone Ranger" mask---a black mask just like a racoon. Now, I looked at pictures of racoons on the internet and they all look like the racoons I've seen before---all black, brown and maybe a little grey, but nothing like I saw in my driveway. Also, pictures and real-live racoons I've seen before are low to the ground when they are on all fours. The one I saw had no color except the very light grey fur and the "mask" and it was much taller, higher off the ground.

Is this some kind of Wisconsin version of a racoon?
