my moms 60th birthday is coming up in June. I would like to make her a big surprise birthday party. The theme i have decided on is "new orleans/bourbon street/mardi gras". i decided on this because every year mymom and my step dad would go there but in october my step dad passed away and she isnt able to go back to new orleans so i thought i would bring new orleans to her. i would like the party to have about 30 to 50 guests max. i would like it to be in a reception hall that i can decorate. i am wondering what you all think would be good decorations (how to set the room, food, etc for the party. i would like some new ideas so that is why im asking you guys. id greatly appreciate any help.

if i took birth control pill for a few months, would that regulate my hormones from what they are now, and maybe give me the chance to get pregnant? im just curious...

i got married 3 years ago, all i wanted was to get married and have a family. Then we couldnt have kids (i couldnt) so we tried IVF twice and still nothing. since the last negative i have decided that i dont want to have kids (they are way too much work and i hear all the time people complaining about their kids and having no time to themselves... and i love me time). so my question is, should i stay married knowing that i cant give my husband a kid. should i stay even tho most people get married to have a family and i cant have this. i feel like im stopping my husband from experiencing that stuff..

i dont know if anyof this makes sense but can someone try to understand this and let me know what you think.

like everyday is the same thing... you get up, you go to work, you come home, you eat supper, then you go to bed... and then the next day is all the same over again...

im not talking about sex. (i know that he still likes that).. take the whole marriage thing, minus the sex... thats what i want to know.

I had an ivf done three months ago (no luck), my period came and was a normal 28 days. and today my period started which is only 17 days from my last one. is there a reason that anyone could tell me as to why its sooo early, the earliest i have ever gotten it was 23 days, never 17... is there something that could be wrong?

Im going to go out a buy an ovulation predictor kit and i would like to know which is the best to use...

mine and my husbands 3 year anniversary is coming up next week and i dont know what to do for it, or what to get him.. i dont have very much money right now and i refuse to buy him his ps3 games that he wants. could anyone come up with an idea that would be good.

my first ivf failed, i went in for the blood test on friday and it was negative. Im wondering what to do next. its been very emotional for me. im wondering, do second or third tries have any better success then the first? should i even try a second time or just know that i will never have children of my own (i cant bear the thought of that tho) I would just like to have some thoughts from you girls that have gone through this.

i went through an ivf two weeks ago and friday of this week i have to go in for my blood work. i would just like to know if anyone had any symptoms during the two weeks, or was it the meds that made you feel like that? i can say that im very tired during the day and my breasts hurt like crazy, but that could be from the meds. im not asking here if i could be pregnant, i just want to know what other people have experienced with symptoms after an ivf treatment.
