I live on the Wind River Reservation in central Wyoming. I am a Northern Arapaho and I teach preschool to a wonderful group of children. I am also an actor, comedian, children's book illustrator, portrait and wildlife artist and somewhat of a writer. All of these jobs are very fun; they would have to be, since none of them pay worth a damn. I also like the outdoors. I like to hike, fish and camp. For indoor fun I draw, read, sculpt, watch bad horror movies and I enjoy a good conversation, which is hard to come by these days. I enjoy this forum and I have made a couple of good internet friends from this.
Can I fill in holes where peel and stick tiles have crumbled away? Or do I have to replace the whole tile?
We can't find matching pieces to replace the peel and stick tiles in our kitchen. We are selling the house and we have to repair the floor. The floor was like this when we moved in years ago. The woman who wants to buy the house says it'll just be torn up anyway and she'll replace the floor how she wants so we don't want to spend a fortune fixing something that's going to be torn up. Some of the tiles have crumbled away at the corners and have left shallow holes at the seams. The inspectors are going to say we need to repair the floor. Will the floor not pass inspection if the tiles don't match? Can we fill the shallow holes with an epoxy resin or something else durable?
3 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs7 years agoIs this typical of a babysitting contract?
My wife and I have had a pretty good relationship with our sitter for the past year, despite the fact that she's a bit anal about minor things. We've happily paid her for short notice cancellations even though we weren't required to. Up until now we haven't had a written contract and certainly never objected to one. However, she gave us a contract on Friday and wants us to sign it by Tuesday. Monday is President's Day. One clause in it, I don't agree with and I am wondering if this is typical of a babysitting contract. It reads as follows: "A full weekly rate will be charged for school holidays/in-service days, Christmas break, and Spring break." She told us that she was unavailable for Christmas break (I work at a school and it's 2 weeks) and yet she still wants to be paid for it. She also won't be available for Spring Break and yet it seems like she wants paid for it. Is this legal? Or ethical? Has anyone else faced this before? If so, what did you do about it?

3 AnswersPolls & Surveys10 years agoCan anyone give me an idea about the species of this bug?
My fiance got a package recently that came from China to Colorado and then here to Wyoming. I don't know if this bug is indigenous to Wyoming because I've never seen anything like it. The reason I mentioned the package is because the bug was on the package when my fiance picked it up so perhaps there is a chance it hitched a ride somewhere between China and here. Anyway, it was about 1/4 in diameter, it was yellowish in color and fuzzy. It seemed to have only one segment, 6 legs, 2 wings, 2 round black eyes and a black, sharp protuberance of some kind making up its mouth, like something a biting fly might have. Anyone have any idea what this might be?
2 AnswersZoology10 years agoMorbidly obese shows?
I've been honestly wondering about those people you see on those shows about morbidly obese people who are so big they can't get out of bed, and it takes a bunch of people to get them out of the house...I've always wondered, if they can't get up without deeply involved assistance, how do they go to the bathroom?

My fiance and I are having a little one and we were talking about a proper reading program for our future child. What would you recommend and why? Thank you in advance.
14 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoHow do you handle irrelevant comments during meetings?
Once a month we have to do a tedious 8 hour long in-service. There are presentations that range from infectious disease to bus safety and a ton of other subjects. It's hard enough to have to sit on hard benches for that long, but there are employees who are always making comments and asking stupid questions that have nothing to do with the information given. I've long said that our in-services could be a half day if it weren't for all this wasted time. It drives me crazy. How do you handle this?
6 AnswersPreschool1 decade agoWhat to do I do about a coworker who talks down to me when certain people are around?
My coworker seems to talk down to me when people of authority and influence are around. She raises her voice so as to be heard as she goes off on me about petty things. It's getting really old and I've talked to her about it. I've talked to my supervisor about it and she told me to document all those incidences but I feel that I should be the grown up in this deal and just ignore it, but it's getting harder and harder. She seems to have the favor of our director and it seems that, to him, she can do no wrong. What would you do?

4 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoWhy do so many women like the pricks of the world?
Is there a logical answer to this question? I am very good to my girlfriend. I try to do nice things for her as often as I can. I love her very much. It took me a long time to find someone I enjoy being nice to and who will accept the daily things that I can provide like doing her dishes, cooking dinner for her, doing her laundry, cleaning her house, spending time with her, watching movies, playing board games, going for walks, and just sitting and talking for hours. We have a very healthy emotional and physical relationship and we're both very happy. I enjoy spending time with her family and doing family functions with her and I know that she's the one I'm destined to spend the rest of my life with. In the past, I tried dating other women and I tried doing those nice things for them as well, with the same well meaning intentions. Those women that I tried dating in the past can't seem to get away from dating guys who enjoy treating them with disdain, ignorance and downright rudeness. I guess I found the right one, but what about those who dismissed me as being too nice? Why do they keep dating guys like that? And why do they tell me now that they should have hung on to me when they had the chance? Granted, I'm no Tom Cruise and I'm not rich in any way. I'm just a nice person who has a lot to give to the right person. Why are there so many women out there who aren't willing to take the kindness that a man wants to give?
