1 AnswerHomework Help5 years agoChemistry Lab question about melting points/purities?
I know that if an experimental melting point you obtain is lower than the standard boiling point (given/theoretical) for that compound, then the compound you used has slight impurities. What does it mean though, if your experimental melting point is higher than that of the given data for that compound? thanks
2 AnswersChemistry6 years agoWeird question but I'm wondering about other people's opinions on Spirited Away (Miyazaki), and The Girl Next Door (2004)?
So whenever I watch these movies, I always get this weird feeling afterwards which makes me feel strange inside. It lasts for a day or so and it's not necessarily a bad feeling, but it's definitely indescribable. Of course, these emotions were most prevalent after the first time I had seen either movie, but it still exists after every re-watch. Does anyone else feel that way? It doesn't have to be confined to those two movies, specifically. Or does anyone know how to explain this feeling?
Not sure if this should go under movies of psychological questions LOL

4 AnswersCycling7 years agoMouse (computer) speed question?
I had recently noticed that with the purchase of two mouse (mice, if that's the plural for the computer mouse), one seems to be more sensitive than the other. One is a microsoft mouse, and the other is a Razor gaming mouse. The mouse settings both have pointer precision/mouse acceleration off (just the way I like it) and has the same cursor speed. However, upon playing a PC game (Osu, a music game involving a lot of mouse movements), I had noticed the microsoft mouse moved better. Even outside of the game, such as in-browser scrolling, the microsoft mouse is quicker. So my question is: is there any way to get these two mouse/mice on the same sensitivity level?
Thanks
2 AnswersAdd-ons7 years agoName of the movie with Nicolas Cage in it?
I think it was an older movie-I watched it on a local station several years ago- he was the main character, and he abducted this young youth (maybe a 7-9 year old boy?) and took him everywhere he went, and it ended up with him dying in a grassy field (i think), and the boy was hovering over him really sad because he got shot by the cops although the cop didn't give the order for him to be shot.
-Does anyone know the name of this movie?
1 AnswerMovies8 years agoConfused about my feelings? Please help?
So I got a text from a friend who's good friends with this girl, and she asked if I liked her.
I told her I think the girl she is talking about is very pretty and is fun to be around. Problem is, I got out of a relationship on Valentines Day several months ago with someone else and I am kind of scared to have feelings, if that makes sense. Then my friend texted back and said that she was confused about her feelings too. My question is: should I bring our feelings up to her (the actual girl my friend is talking about), or should I just keep a low profile and see what happens. Like I just want to know if it's normal to talk to her about this or if it's something like "secret," that shouldn't be mentioned to her.
Thanks for the help

1 AnswerSingles & Dating9 years agoInternet has been so slow for past couple of weeks?
Okay, so my internet has been acting very strange recently. I use both mozilla firefox and google chrome, and for the past couple of weeks, i've been noticing enormous differences when i hop on the internet. It takes at least 15 seconds just to load a website on either mf or gc, and it takes forever to load videos (youtube, e.t.c). I'm running McAfee and Norton currently (have been for years), and it says there are no problems involved. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I've tried deleting things off the harddrive as well as the history but it doesn't work. I'm tired of waiting so long for something that shouldn't have to be!

3 AnswersRap and Hip-Hop9 years agoWhat's going on between us?
Okay, this might be a little lengthy, but I'm on the verge of desperation and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Okay, so it ended up with me having the worst week of my life (school, parents, drugs, friends, death problems. Yeah. All that week). So my girlfriend (who usually texts me every day) texted me on Friday. I just really didn't feel like talking so here's what I said: "I've had the worst week of my life, and it's not your fault whatsoever, but just leave me alone for a few days." She didn't say anything so I thought she understood. Then on Tuesday i texted her back trying to you know, apologize for ignoring her. She just didin't reply back. At this point I knew something was wrong. So I texted her more, called her, and went to her house yesterday. Nothing happened. That night, i received a text saying "Don't come into my house uninvited ever again." Now this... this was like a knife stab to the heart. I knew her; she was always happy and perky and strong-willed. I don't think she would've let something as small as this come in between us, so I've been wondering if there was anything else that's been playing a role. But I was just wondering, does something like what I said on friday really make someone act like this?
5 AnswersSingles & Dating9 years agoHigh School Prom Dances?
This is going to be my first year (because I'm a junior now), and I think I've gotten the basic concept of what a prom is really like from my friends, but I have a question about the kinds of dances. I'm pretty sure it depends on what school you go to, but is there usually themes? are there formal dances or is it just plain ol' get wild partying dance? or maybe a bit of both? anything would help :)

1 AnswerSingles & Dating9 years agoAny good anime shows on Netflix (like a series preferably)?
I enjoyed anime series like Sekirei, Witchblade, Claymore, and Elfen Lied. I was just wondering if there were any other series on Netflix like these. I know that sometimes shows get taken off, so I was just wondering.

2 AnswersComics & Animation10 years agoI think my computer has a very bad virus?
So... I opened up my computer this morning (we have two users; administrator and guest). I clicked the guest and hit the internet shortcut... and it opened and then closed automatically! Then my anti-viral program (McAfee) said that there was a worm and trojan on that guest account... Wtf... I have no idea how it happened. I scanned a test with my anti-viral program and it showed 0 problems... So I'm confused. I have already tried system restore and everything. Is there some sort of thing I can download from the internet that can get rid of these things? Preferably free? My budget is kind of tight right now.
3 AnswersSecurity10 years agoQuestion about having a job?
So I just applied online to be a cashier at a local grocery store. I'm 16 and this will be my first job. A couple of my friends told me that if you want to get the job, you have to actually GO to the store and talk to the manager to show them that you are dedicated and really want the job. However, I don't want to screw this up (even if it's not an interview). What do people usually talk about when they go just to visit the manager. What should I say? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
