Symptoms: Almost constant nausea, feel ill after eating, hot flashes, prone to anemia, possible hair thinning?
Also, random and rare pain in my right kidney area. Already been checked for kidney infection. I'm nauseous every morning, especially if I take a warm shower. I'm nauseous during the day, and feel ill about 20 minutes or so after I eat. I also feel like I'm hungry 10 minutes or so after I've eaten more than enough. I have hot flashes but I don't think I've had a temperature. I'm prone to anemia, runs in the family but could be a symptom. I also think my hair has thinned, but that could be in my head. Any ideas? The tests alone to narrow this down would cost me a bundle. I just want to try and fix it myself, if I can.
1 AnswerOther - Health7 years ago19 Month old possible Neurological issue causing low muscle tone.?
My daughter is 19 months, she shows sensory problems like not wanting bathes, to be touched on the face, refuses to eat solid food and still drinks from a bottle. She might have a high-metabolism, she is so skinny you can see every bone, but this could be where we put her on all baby food and took away formula. She has low muscle tone, she can bear-crawl, walk around tables if holding on, but isn't walking or trying to on her own. She only says one word, possibly because of low muscle. Very very clingy too. She's getting an MRI. I wanted to know if you anyone knows what could be wrong? Trying to find something, but nothing matches all of her symptoms. Closest might be Prader-Willi syndrome, but that usually involves overweight gain.
2 AnswersNewborn & Baby8 years agoHow can I limit fireplace smoke pollution in my home?
My first winter having a fireplace. I know about wood, and a clean chimney. I just don't know how to limit smoke pollution. Should I buy a special screen? Is there a humidifier I can put by my fireplace? Any suggestions would be helpful.
1 AnswerRespiratory Diseases8 years agoKinship Care and Adoption.?
Trying to learn about kinship care. I have a social worker visiting me to consider placing 2 boys in my care. Here's my main concern, the adoption. I'm supposed to seek permanent adoption? If I do, will they lose out on free college for foster kids? Also, any info you think I should know would be great. Reading what I can, the workers don't like to answer many questions.
3 AnswersAdoption8 years agoAnime on Hulu with endings?
I don't like to watch neverending animes unless they actually end. Does anyone know what decent anime on Hulu/Netflix have an ending? And a decent ending too? No mech or super slow please. Like any girl, some romance is nice too ;) Thanks
1 AnswerComics & Animation8 years ago7 month old too quiet.?
My 7 month old is very quiet. She makes noises just before she's about to cry and she laughs, but that's it. She's also still wobbly when I hold her up and cannot sit on her own at all. She rolls onto her stomach, lifts up, and is showing signs of trying to crawl. She doesn't respond to her name, but reacts to a loud clap. She does try to reach for toys. I could relax if her motor skills were better, but....if it was an issue, what could it be?
4 AnswersNewborn & Baby9 years agoSevere Period Symptoms?
For a long time (I'm 25) I've had this but since having kids it's more severe. I get horribly dizzy, to the point I have to stay still till it passes, very very nauseous, though I've never thrown up, and I can literally feel my energy drain from my body. I get very pale and have hot flashes too. I can't take birth control, it gives me migraines, my tubes have been tied as of Feb, so it's not pregnancy. Is this normal? Or is there something wrong? And no, go ask the doc responses, I mean, no kidding. But both I and my hubby have lost our jobs and our insurance and I don't have the money with 3 kids, I'm still paying for the last one, Cobra took all of my savings.
1 AnswerWomen's Health9 years agoCan you sue a company in small claims for being a monopoly?
My local cable company keeps raising the prices every 6 months and you don't realize it until you go to pay your bill (which are billed a month in advance, so I can't sue for unexpected charges). The only other internet provider is through land-line only and tend to be incredibly slow not to mention I would be forced to buy a land-line service on top of the internet. Therefore, the cable internet service is monopolized and I can't get a better deal with the only similar competition without purchasing an unwanted service and without dealing with a similar product that can never be as fast as the cable. But I don't want to deal with litigation and I know small claims has less options that would allow the company to drag things out for years. So, can I sue them in small claims? They are a monopoly, right?
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics9 years ago2 Year Old has fever for 4 days now, will he be okay?
My 2 year-old has had a fever not exceeding 101.8 degrees along with a congested cough, runny nose, lack of appetite, fighting off dehydration, and hardly any energy. He's sleeping a lot or laying there totally out of it. Today is day 4, he went to the doctor who tested him for flu and said it was negative and to come back in 3 days if he wasn't better. Is this normal? Will he be okay? He's only been sick once before and he's my first so maybe I'm overreacting?
2 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoNon-itchy red bumps on leg?
My 2 year-old has a fever, runny nose, and congested cough and I just noticed that he has developed about 5 bright red bumps on one of his legs. It can't be bug bites so I think it's related to his illness. I can't find anything about non-itchy bumps though. They don't look nasty or puss-filled, just raised and bright red. He's only been sick about 24 hours and the bumps appeared up to 10 hours ago.
2 AnswersOther - Health1 decade agoObtaining power of attorney due to alcoholism?
My mother is an alcoholic and is steadily getting worse. It is killing her, both it and her smoking habits according to her doctor. I want to know if I can gain power of attorney without her permission as she is an alcoholic. I want power of attorney for 2 reasons. Number one, a relative is encouraging her and providing her with alcohol regularly and is the only reason she both chooses and can continue her destructive habits. I own her car and could easily prevent her buying alcohol is it were not for him and want to see about a restraining order. Also, she is slowly putting herself into financial jeopardy and will eventually not be able to pay her bills. I would like to control her retirement and social security and help her pay her bills and prevent her from taking out a 4th mortgage among other things. Can I do this? Would being an addict make someone not of sound mind?
5 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoToddler skin rash on face?
I cannot figure out what is causing my son's rash. It's a bunch of small red bumps, mostly by the corners of his mouth but also on his chin and under his nose. There isn't any puss or anything from what I can tell. He comes home from his father's with it, or develops it within 24 hours but it begins to disappear a couple of days after being home so I assume it's coming from daddy's. Can it be a food allergy? I only feed him organic, but I'm sure his father gives him processed junk every now and then. Or could it be detergent or dishwashing soap or some chemical reaction? He sometimes smells strongly of spray-on fabric softner. Also, my ex smokes, but I don't think that's the cause.
Skin Conditions1 decade agoClaiming baby on taxes?
Someone told me that as long as baby is born within 30 or 60 days the following year, I can claim them as if they were born the previous year. So my kid is born Feb. 2010 but I can claim for 2009 taxes. Is this true? It would be great if it is.
5 AnswersUnited States1 decade agoAm I being too demanding here about my ex's treatment of our son?
I am very picky about my son. He isn't in daycare, he socializes with other people who have similar ideas about children as me. He eats mostly organic, depending on the season. Isn't allowed sugar or extra salt and never asks for it since he is only 2 and doesn't know about it(he gets cake for bday okay?) I believe in dressing him in nice clothes, not wife-beaters or anything a bit ghetto because children need to learn to be individual but also decent for jobs later on. Etc etc. My ex smokes, my son comes home reeking of it, though he claims he isn't smoking in front of him and I worry about my son inheriting my father's asthma and allergies that were caused by second-hand smoke and are severe. He sprays him in fabric softner to cover the smell and I think it's what has caused the rash on my son's face. My son comes home constipated from a poor diet or from drinking too much milk (doctor verified). He comes home saying words incorrectly or pointing out people farting...which is embarassing and his ability to speak in complete sentences at such a young age is due to me teaching how to talk properly, not baby talk. His father has him for just 2 days a week and he watches nothing but tv or goes to play at McDonalds or he tries to take him to things like the demolition derby even though my son is scared to death of loud noises or places like the Keenland race track with lots of stairs, smoke, and drunk idiots. SO my question is, should I limit daddy time? My husband is a great step-dad and we regularly take him to fun kid things and I think he would be better for it. Especially since he comes home with this screaming attitude that I have to spend 2 days fixing. I don't like spending 2 days a week punishing and upsetting my son due to a father's inability to teach him how to behave (and I don't spank, I hurt his feelings by making him sit down). I have argued and talk and tried everything, nothing is getting better.
12 AnswersParenting1 decade agoPros and Cons of making child obesity considered child abuse?
I understand parents whose children have medical issues, but for those whose healthy seven year olds weigh more than I do, I don't see what excuse they have. I think most of it stems from a lack of education about nutrition and from the desire to spoil. People say they have the right to raise their kids as they want, but that means that 12 year old with type 2 diabetes who had no educated choice in the matter has to suffer for life. Would it help to make severe obesity in young children a form of child abuse? I would think parents would become more strict and educated about the matter to prevent charges.
5 AnswersGrade-Schooler1 decade agoHow to pass a smoking ban.?
I'm moving to the next town over because of cheaper living and it doesn't have a smoking ban. I can't even walk into a restaurant because this town doesn't even believe in smoking sections. Not to mention people smoking outside of public areas and grocery stores. I'm pregnant and I don't want my kids subjected to smoke. So who do I talk to that would help me pass a ban? I'm worried people will think about their votes or that too many are smokers. But I have the right to at least go to the store and not be encompassed by smoke, not to mention public places my tax dollars pay for. And no crap from smokers, you can smoke at home or in your car just fine.
6 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoAm I just being ridiculous, or should I change my OB?
So far I've met 2 midwives and had a CNA fill out my work restirictions form. I've been very sick, they put me on Zofran and an IV, and in 2 visits, no one has done a pelvic exam, no one will ask or listen to me about my severe work conditions (this involves 100degrees, heavy lifting, 10 hrs on feet..etc...). No one will listen to me when I say that the zofran works, but only to an extent and causes severe dizzy spells. And whenever I try to talk to someone they refer me to the person I just spoke to. My OB has yet to be involved at all and I feel like no one listens or cares. This isn't my first pregnancy, I'm not being paranoid. Is this normal at all? I didn't even know doctors used midwives.
5 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoWill going to a KY community college effect whether or not I get an RN job?
If I attend my local Community College in KY, will it effect my chances of being hired as an RN? What I mean is do hospitals and such consider a community college a credible degree or will I have trouble finding a job? I would also like to know is RN jobs are still in demand and what the KY hourly pay is.
2 AnswersHealth Care1 decade agoSudden increased need for sex?
I'm almost 22 years old and I've been dating my bf for a little over 3 months. Suddenly, within the last 2 weeks I feel like I need sex all the time during the most random moments. I can be standing and working and my "area" will feel like it's swelling making me very horny. We have sex up to 3-5 times a day and I will want it constantly through the week. I wonder if I've hit a sexual prime, or is there a medical cause for this? Should I be worried?
4 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade ago15month old Has been acting oddly and insecurely?
My son now visits his father about 3 days a week or less and since this began I have noticed a huge behavior change in him. He is usually always happy, good at entertaining himself and easy to comfort. Now he does this thing where he sits with his hands clasped in his lap or gripping his pants and looks up at you and just cries until you carry him everywhere. He also seems very grumpy and very clingy. I wonder if my ex does a mixture of constantly holding and then constantly ignoring him, causing him to feel very insecure. Or is this a normal change in a toddler's behavior?
