  • aim password not working?

    so i installed windows 8 on my cpu, and once I installed aim it keeps saying that my password for my account is incorrect

    The password is correct because I'm able to sign on to my account on my laptop, and I created a new account that works on the desktop, but I just can't access my main account while on my desktop

    I've even changed the passwords to no success

  • Computer accessory to prevent crash in the case of a short power outage?

    Just wondering if there is such an accessory.

    Where I am there are frequently power outages that last for under 1 min and I was wondering if there's a cheap option that would keep the computer running for the time that it takes for the power to return.

    Like say if there was a sort of generator that could last for 10 mins or so which allowed the computer to run off power from the outlet normally but in case of a shutdown takes over until it returns.

  • Is a volunteer sample also a simple random sample?

    I have a HW question where in a scenario people have an option to call a hot-line and vote on a competition in a tv show. The question is asking whether or not this is a simple random sample (ie everyone has the same chance of being selected to answer the question)

    Now I know that the survey is a volunteer sample, but what I'm not sure of is if a volunteer sample can also be a simple random sample
