1998 truck rear brakes keep dragging?

Tuffy owner nad id redone again for free but replaced the right rear cylinder which I paid for. Now dyas later it happen again. I am not going back but what can I do?

1 AnswerNotices and Errors8 years agoA mechanic told me that the rear wheel on the drivers will not turn by hand on my 98 Durango while attempting?
to give it a wheel alignment. He said the rear wheel on the passenger side is okay. So I thought this to be a little strange and said okay I will get back with him. A friend of mind told me that since you have 4x4 you will have to put the truck in neutral first and turn the wheel. I tried it with my friend and it worked. But what bothers me is that this is a certified Mech and can some one tell me if the wheel suppose to turn regardless if the truck is in neutral or maybe the Mech was just having a bad day. Oh yes and he said if he had to take the wheel off on the lift and not knowing what would happen it could cost maybe hundreds of dollars. What do you think.

could possibly be the front hubs going bad. At the time he did not have time to check it out for me. A week later on the highway the front started to shake which felt like on the drivers side but I noticed that it went away at 35rpm. Because it has 152,ooo mile on it I will have the front hubs replace anyway. Do anyone think this is the real problem because but the lower ball joints has been replaced.

and I have a new MAP sensor also. The only thing I am worried about is that the idle is at 590rpms after it warms up. It is suppose to be at 650rpms. A friend of mine ran his battery/alternator tester on it and noticed that the altenator ran a little weak and noticed that on the dash at start up that the battery indicator on the panel inside the charge will rise slowly but remain in a respectable level.Could the alternator be responsible for the low rpm?
