On my 98 durango a roaring sound comes from the front at speed of 40rpm and above a mechcanic said it?
could possibly be the front hubs going bad. At the time he did not have time to check it out for me. A week later on the highway the front started to shake which felt like on the drivers side but I noticed that it went away at 35rpm. Because it has 152,ooo mile on it I will have the front hubs replace anyway. Do anyone think this is the real problem because but the lower ball joints has been replaced.

Front wheel bearings can do that. If you grab the top of the tire, and push and pull it hard, if the tire moves or you feel a click, it could be them.
Another check is to jack the tire off the ground and spin the wheel as fast as you can with your ear close to the hub. Any rumble/grind/crunch noise suggests bearings.
You don't want to drive far with bad front wheel bearings. It's dangerous.

Well the reason he did not have time to check it out is because once he starts taking things apart all the bearings will come bouncing out and your truck is stuck there until you fix it or call a tow truck and tow it to another shop. There are easier ways to get this done when you heard the roaring sound get the truck to your mechanic and get a mechanical inspection. Don't just grind the bearings to dust and ruin whats left of them.
