AC won't cool when car at idle?
I have a 2005 equinox and a cpl of weeks ago it quit cooling when it was at idle. When I'm moving it works fine. I have put more refrigerant in it to no avail. I have checked and when I start the cat and have the ac blowing the fans are moving. So any ideas would be helpful. Hoping to keep repair cost as minimal as possible as I will be trading up the beginning of next year. Thanks!
3 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs5 years agowill being served divorce papers make him realize what he has done?
My husband left me and our two children a month ago and moved in with another woman and her two kids. The following week I met with an attny and just yesterday went and signed the papers to be filed with the court and to be served to him for divorce. He had no idea I have met with an attny or anything yet so it will be a shock for him as he believes I wouldn't do anything like this. But once he receives the divorce papers would it make him realize what he has done and that this is really happening? I have always forgave him for all he has done in the past (never anythianything to this extent but had talked to several women while we were together and I forgave him for it as it was sexual oriented and talk of meeting up) but this time is different and I have to do what is best for the kids and myself. Will he begin to regret his decision one he realizes I am not pining over him and am fine with his foolishness?
11 AnswersMarriage & Divorce6 years agoWill his SO's income make a difference on child support?
My husband left me about a month ago for another woman with two kids of her own. We have 2 kids together and I have custody of them. I actually have an appt this afternoon to sign the divorce papers sob he can be served with them shortly. But I was wondering since he immediately Moved in with her and she is now thinking of quitting her job would that have any effect on what he would have to pay in CS since he will be the head of household. Or would it have no bearing whatsoever since they are not marriend and her childreb are not his. We don't have any CS figured yet (in the paperwork to be signed today) I just am trying to budget so to speak for our house their day care, their needs and didn't know if her status of e ployment would have any bearing on that or not.
3 AnswersMarriage & Divorce7 years agoHubby left for another woman?
My husband left me and our kids for another woman with 2 kids (kind of a family swap). This past week he text me all pissed off anf threatening me with a prosecuting attny.. for what I have no clue... but then goes on to say when I tell him I'm happy that he's happy that he is not happy and does not what to be where he is at. I just ignored him bc I know how he works and that he's just trying to sweet talk me and then will delete everything so she doesn't see it. I have already got my papers turned in for the divorce and custody. He says ask these things to me tho and then posts that he's so in love with this other woman. Since he's so back and forth is it possible that he will regret what he's done to our family?
10 AnswersMarriage & Divorce7 years agoGetting and Ex Parte on husband and what that will do for custody.?
My husband left me and our 2 boys 3 weeks ago for another woman with 2 kids. It has been a blessing in disguise. He was abusive emotionally and physically. The last time he was he ended up choking me I'm front of the boys. Yes I should have left and I tried to call the cops but he threatened me. Like I said I am not distraught over him leaving as it was a true blessing for us. He had remained belligerent since moving in with her and had made innocuous comments to our boys on the phone the he will see them soon(Been offered to see them and he has declined each time) he just has a couple things to take care of first then posts on Facebook after getting off the phone that he's looking for a rifle. Well today he accused me of stealing his paycheck (which was dd into our account and was eaten up by the overdraft fees he accrued after leaving) and began screaming as I told him I have nothing to do with that account any longer. Anyways he ended it with other threats and saying yes that is a threat. Then screamed that he was "going to bash your brains out You c***". I have the phone conversation recorded and I'm my state it is allowable in court. More his dad is posting on fb that stealing money from his kids is bs and payback is a b**** and I will see you soon. Can I get a protection order against the both of them and what does that do with the custody of the boys since we have no arrangement on file as of yet since I just got the paperwork to my attny thur.
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics7 years agoDoes my husband truly love the OW?
My husband left me and our two boys about 3 weeks ago and moved in with the OW and her 2 kids. I am not sure how long they had been talking, but do know they did not spend much time together, if at all, prior to his leaving. She lives an hour and a half away as well as work that far away. So now he lives with her and her kids and will post on Facebook that he loves her. .. loves her to the moon and back... calls her lil nicknames that he called me even till the day before he left. Does he truly love her or is it just the newness and infatuation of it all? I guess in all honesty it doesn't matter as I am filing for the divorce on Monday side he made it clear (before I knew about her that he was done and was not interested in trying to work things out. He had left and I didn't know why until I found her number and messages on his tablet when the boys were watching monster trucks) that there was no working it out or working on us, but I just can't see how he could move on so quickly and call her the same pet names he did me. I know I shouldn't bother worrying about this since I am taking the steps to move on, but it still hurts to hear about his feelings towards her.
2 AnswersMarriage & Divorce7 years agoHusband wants to see kids but only on his terms. ..?
My husband left me and our two boys about 2 weeks ago and moved in with another woman. He wants to see our boys now however doesn't want to do it on my terms. I have already spoke with an attorney which told me to NOT let him take the kids until we get paperwork filed which week prob be in 2 weeks. And my parents don't want me to meet him alone. .. he has an anger issue and has hit and choked me before so they are uncomfortable with me meeting him alone woth the boys. I told him he can meet with my father and he van play with the boys or whatever. There will be no interference from my dad or anything. (Which I can understand why he is apprehensive since it is my dad nt he had talked to my dad since leaving and my dad had been nothing but reasonable with him.) But he absolutely doesn't want to do that. He wants me to meet him and him take the kids for a day. I just don't feel comfortable with that. Since its only been 2 wks will it look bad on my part that he had not seen them when I have made am effort and been advised by my attorney (and his mom) to not do so?
6 AnswersMarriage & Divorce7 years agoHusband left me for another woman...wants to know if I am seeing anyone?
My husband lefr me and our two kids last week for another woman with two kids of her own and moved in with her. We've talked a lil basically regarding the house and what needs to be taken care of with our stuff. He has told me several ti.es he loves me and always will...just not like a wife. I get that I am the mother to his boys and there will always be that love there. But a few days later ( on one of his good days that he's not calling me every mame in the book) he was super sweet and nice and then he wanted to know if I am seeong someone. Why would he care. He lost that chance, unbeknownst to him I've already filled papers since while in one of his bad days (and they flip flop so quickly I get whiplash) that he was fine with me blah blah blah. I simply told him no that my priority is our kids and not finding someone else not that it was any of his business. So why would he concern himself with that. Is it maybe bc I am showing I am happy and not an emotional wreck thatvhe left us?
8 AnswersMarriage & Divorce7 years agoHusband left us now oldest son didn't want to talk to him.?
My husband left me and our two sons, 3 &4, last Thursday and moved in with his"girlfriend" and her two kids. I know I bang keep them from him and don't intend to however he wants them to come stay the weekend with him soon and tried bribing them with ice cream. I don't feel comfortable having them stay at her house with him. They just have had their normal disrupted from daddy not being home every night and with it not even being a week Do not feel that it's in their best interest to stay there.
Then when he calls at night my oldest says outright to him He doesn't want to talk to him. Tonight you could hear her in the background. My son then asked " when are you coming back to my home daddy" to which was replied " I'm at my new home and I'm not coming back to your home. That's just going to have to be explained to you". My son then said bye pressef the end button the the phone and said "I hate daddy". I sat down with him and explained that mommy and daddy need to be apary right now But we both love him very much. And no matter what daddy does still love him. And he tells me he wants a new daddy. It breaks my heart to see him hurt like this. I don't know if I should ask him to maybe call every other day or once every three days if that would help any. I have an appt tom with my attorney just trying to get some quick advice tonight. Thanks.
3 AnswersMarriage & Divorce7 years agoHusband said he needed space, but now doesn't want to even try to work on our marriage?
My husband and I had an argument over something stupid on Tues evening. After not talking to me all day Wed I knew he was still mad at me and stupid me, decided to not come home that evening. I gave him some time to figure it out. He went Thurs and stayed with his sister so they could go down and see his dad who just had a pacemaker put in and to celebrate his sons birthday who would have been 8. Friday he told me that we would talk things out and try to work on it, he just needed some space right now. So I told him ok when he was ready we would talk things out. This morning he texts me and I told him that unless he was ready to talk things out to please not text me bc my heart couldn't take the pain of the non chalant texts. We talked some and he said he was done and doesn't want to be married to me any longer. That I deserved someone better and so did our kids. I don't know if this stems from the stress and all from his dads surgery and his son's birthday and day he passed away all together. Or if he really means he wants nothing to do with me any more. I don't see how someone can wake up one morning and decide to throw it all away. I asked him to please just try and sit and talk it through and maybe seek counseling. He won't respond to any of my requests. Is there a chance that with his space that maybe he will decide that it is worth trying to work on for our family's sake (me, him, and our two boys) or is it a lost cause all around....which I am hoping is not the case.
4 AnswersMarriage & Divorce7 years agoHusbands car was damaged by co-worker?
My husband works for a tire company and was working late last night which meant that someone would have to pull his car into the shop until he got back so it would not have a chance of getting broke into while no one was there. He got there last night and one of the new guys pulled it up on the alignment rack. When got closer he could see there was damage. His car is lowered and wouldn't normally go on there, and was told last night that a lot of cars don't fit on there because of the angle of the ramp. Well it not only didn't go on there. There were black marks from where the guy drove the heck out of it bc it wouldn't go on there. Well by thetime it was on there He had ripped the header frok the head and tore the heck out of the bottom of the car. They coildnt even get it off the rack as it was stuck. My question is, is the conpany liable to oay for the damages? Or are we outta luck. There is 4700 worth of work on the head not to mention everything else that's been done. And now we are also out a vehicle. With our schedules we have to have two cars. Luckily they let him drive his company truck home. But we're trying to figure out if they would be liable or not. We are waiting for later this morning to see if they offer to pay our not But in case they don't we want to see what options we may have. And we only have liability in it.
11 AnswersLaw & Ethics7 years agoKid tried to hit me with his car in parking lot?
The other mornings one idiot kid with whine my husband and I have had issues with before with our kids in the car decided e was going I act like he was going to hit me with his car. He a me at me and I just stopped to see what he was going to do. When he stopped just inches from hitting my knees i side stepped and he turned his wheel towards me again and came at me again. At this point I was infuriated as he almost hit my husbands car with our kids in it just a month before bc he thought It was cool to race and when we didn't he pulled his e brake an almost hit us head on as he spun around. Well like I said I was infuriated so I ended up punching his window (I was by myself) and then he opened his door an I asked what his deal was. HE peeled off then got out when he was away from me and started acting all crazy and threatened to have his gf beat my ***. I left and filed a report. Can I get in trbl for punching his window after he tried hitting me?
1 AnswerLaw & Ethics7 years agoWhat can I do about wages not being paid and employer adjusting hours?
My husband's employer has yet to pay him for after hours calls that was done 3 months ago. The amount they were to pay him was $385 for this call. Also when he is at work, he does not get a lunch because they always have something come in for him to do for tire work. His boss goes in and adjusts his hours to compensate the company for his hour lunch even tho he did not get his lunch. Is there any recourse for the company for not paying him the hours they owe him? If so, what is the best way to go about this because his boss refuses to fix the problem. It is also not just my husband that they do the lunches on. It has happened to several others as well.
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics7 years agoWhat does "Defendants motion for leave to file out of time" mean?
Last week we found out that my husband is being sued for an accident she was in and says my husband caused the accident. Anyways, we had never been served the papers for this case, and they say we had been and since we hadn't responded they filed for a deafult judgement, which is the court date this upcoming week. Well our insurance company got us the attorney and I look at teh docket entries today and there is an entry that says.

1 AnswerLaw & Ethics8 years agoPlaintiff in civil suit has an active warrant against her?
My husband is being sued by a lady from an accident in 2011 in which she lost control of her vehicle and wrecked. She claims my husband was at fault. Well the police and insurance neither thought this and closed the case. Well I found out yesterday, she has hired an attorney (I guess back in 2012) to sue my husband. I went on to the state's website and saw that they served papers to a 10 year old address and have filed a fault judgement court date for next thurs. This is obviously the first we had heard of this and tried to contact her attorney to see if maybe they could tell us where the papers were served because we have not received them. Looking back they tried 3 different addresses to serve him...none of them in which he has been at for 5 years plus. And he has his current address in the system from his driver's license. Basically they didn't want to find him so they could get the default judgement and get paid. They are one of those we only get paid if you win attorneys. Well, I happened to find out that the lady suing us has an active warrant in the county that we have the court date in. Our insurance company already has an attorney for us, like I said there was nothing he did that caused the accident. The messed up part is, I was a few car lengths behind him and saw it happen and called the accident in. They told me I didn't need to stop and fill out a report. So back to my main point...is there a possibility she could be arrested on the court date for her warrant?
*sorry for the jumping around, my mind is kind of scattered with all that has come to light the past day or so with this*
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics8 years agoNo power to HP pavilion DV7-1245dx.?
A couple of years ago my dog chewed the power cord for my laptop, so being an idiot I bought a cheap version. Well the cord would get so hot that the lil box half way down on the cord melted. Not long after that it quit charging my laptop. This time we got the actual HP replacement charger. It was able to get my laptop half way charged and then nothing. I thought that maybe it was the ac adapter in the laptop so I bought that replacement part and replaced it and still nothing. Does anyone have any ideas as to what this could be? I am hoping to be able to fix this myself instead of a repair shop or getting a new laptop. I know that may be the only option but I would like to see if I an do it myself first.
2 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks8 years agoSupposed debt collector calling with threats?
I got a call for the first time yesterday (9/9/13) from a gentleman telling me that I needed to call him today (yesterday) in in regards to a debt and gave me a case number and phone number to call him back about the pending charges against me. I then received an e-mail from my mom, as he had called her and left the same message that I needed to call him in regards to pending charges against me, called my grandmother with the same message. So when I got a chance I called the number and pressed "0" for the operator as I didn't have an extenstion for this gentleman and asked her what the name of the company was, she hung up on me when I asked the second time. I then called back and got the operator again and she told me the name of the company was "Union Group" which was a litigation firm for debt collection, or something along those lines. She then asked if I had a case number, at that point I gave it to her. She said yes, we have your case file here and it shows you have pending charges. At this point I asked what company they were representing for this debt. She told me they were not able to give that information until they verified mine. She then asked if I ever received mail and my mailing address and then asked me to give her my social. I said that I would not unless I knew what the entire call and "pending" charges were for and she told me she could not tell me that information until I gave her my SSN. At that point I hung up. They then called my place of employment and spoke with HR and told her that I needed to contact them today (yesterday) before they came to my place of employment and served me papers. The HR lady told me it sounded fishy, but that she wanted to pass the message along. Today I got another message from the gentlemen, this time he didn't give me his name, only gave a number and case number and told me that they hvae a confirmed address for me now and that I have until they find me to settle the matter with them. I have no problem settling any matter I may or may not have, I am not aware of anything that should be in collections, but it could be an oversight on my part. However I am not going to give my information out to someone who won't tell me why they are calling, or what the matter is in regards to. Is there anything I can do other than file complaints against them with the state attorney general and the FTC? I googled the number and the company name. I was unable to find ANYTHING on the company and the number keeps bringing me to pages for FMCG website and to be able to order bulk lighters, but I am unsure how old the websites are with the listed number either.
4 AnswersLaw & Ethics8 years agoIs this considered harassment?
Long story short, there was an altercation between my husband and a few other people a week or so ago. Well ever since then, they have started to drive by our house several times a night. I say night because we both work throughout the day and are unsure if they go by through the day as well. I think in one night, in a 2 hour time period they went by at least 10 times. However, each night it is a different person that goes by in their car, so it's not the same person every night or the same car. There's a total of probably 4 guys that do this. At what point is this considered harassment. I know that this is not on a general route for them to go by because I know where they all live, and they never went by until after the altercation, which was only words exchanged. It scares me because we have 2 little boys and there are some nights that my husband will get called in and it's only me and the kids. I have tried to talk to the cops and all they said is they will try to talk some sense into the guy, because they know him by name from being in trouble so many times. Whether they did or not I am unsure because it is still going on...
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics8 years agoProcess server served the wrong person?
Long story short, a lady wrecked behind my husband back in Nov 2011. She has been trying to sue him now for the loss of her vehicle since then. Our insurance has denied her claim so she is now going after him. The attorney, and I have no idea why they woudl even take the case, has been trying to serve him since last year. I keep up through a website that shows information on tickets and lawsuits. Anyways at the time of the incident, I was a few cars behind them when it happened and called it into 911 and called him. Once I got off the phone with him he called and spoke with the highway patrol and they said he was good to go. She slammed her brakes on and lost control on a wet road and spun out and took out some guard rail. So why this attorney thinks she has a case when the cops told him that he was in the clear, I dont understand. Anyways, they have been trying to serve him papers at addresses that are close to 10 years old. I have tried to tell him where he currently lives so they can just serve him and we can get the paperwork to the insurance company for the attorney. Well I just checked and they served someone at an old address. He hasn't lived there for about 8 years. So if we didn't have this site, how in the world would we know about "being served" and is there anything I can do to solve this?
4 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police8 years agoFriend's ex threatening to not let him see his son...?
My friend was with this girl for a cpl of years and she left him about a year ago. They have a lil boy together. Well she left him to be with some crack head (this is his account, I do not know her so I am not for sure this is fact or not). Well recently after being seperated for a year he has started dating another girl. The mom has flipped out and now tells him since he is seeing her he can not see his son until something is set in stone through the court and then tells him that he is not the father and that she will have DNA testing done to have him removed from the lil boys birth certificate. First of all, he has been in the boys life since day one and since they seperated has been paying her and had insurance on the boy. So if he is not the biological father, he is the only father this lil boy knows. Is she able to do that. And secondly since she has been receiving aid and child support and he has paid for insurance on the lil boy and knew (for what she says) that he is not the father and it turns out the he is not isn't that fraud against him and the state? Would he have any legal rights to the boy since he's been the father figure for 3 years? All in all I know she is just being vindictive to him bc that boy is his life and in the end all it is going to do is hurt her son. I just wish she would see it that way instead of doing it to just be hateful to his father.
