Husband left me for another woman...wants to know if I am seeing anyone?
My husband lefr me and our two kids last week for another woman with two kids of her own and moved in with her. We've talked a lil basically regarding the house and what needs to be taken care of with our stuff. He has told me several ti.es he loves me and always will...just not like a wife. I get that I am the mother to his boys and there will always be that love there. But a few days later ( on one of his good days that he's not calling me every mame in the book) he was super sweet and nice and then he wanted to know if I am seeong someone. Why would he care. He lost that chance, unbeknownst to him I've already filled papers since while in one of his bad days (and they flip flop so quickly I get whiplash) that he was fine with me blah blah blah. I simply told him no that my priority is our kids and not finding someone else not that it was any of his business. So why would he concern himself with that. Is it maybe bc I am showing I am happy and not an emotional wreck thatvhe left us?

You're right, your priority really needs to be the kids and also getting yourself back together. It's emotionally rendering going through a separation and divorce, and reality is, you have nothing to give to a new man in an emotional way because you're invested in this life crisis -- and a divorce IS one of the hardest things we can go through.
I suggest depending on family and friends for support and comfort, not some new guy.
If your husband's affair lasts more than 6-9 months, it will be a shock. He's rebounding . He's doing the unhealthy thing!
You're doing the right thing by keeping your cool and not showing him that you're upset or distressed. I'd keep the peace, and if he is ugly and vile toward you, just smile and let him know it's too bad he's having an off day. I had an ex husband who was the same... i practiced kindness, even though i really did want to smack him into next week!
It's none of his business whether you're seeing someone, but i hope you'll put that off until you get your life and emotions back in order.
I wish you all the best.

It's because he's a piece of sj!t. If he ever asks again just tell him you are seeing at least 15 different men but have unfortunately lost count. Tell him you hope he's happy with the new wh@r3 he's living with and that he needs to remember t compensate her accordingly. Tell him you can tell he's interested in being your 16th boyfriend but you don't seem to have time in your schedule for a dirty son of a b!tc4

There could be a couple of reasons why he wants to know about your dating life. If he left you for another woman, he does not love you. Most likely he feels like you are a possession and doesn't want someone else to have you.
The reason could also be that he can feel like he isn't a jerk for abandoning you and his children if you have someone else to provide for you and the kids.

He is just seeing if he can come back from time to time and get some. Also he wants to know if he devistated you. More likely the latter. Some people get off on that, especailly guys.

Or he's trying to alleviate his guilt. It's very, very unusual for a person to be "seeing someone" a week after their spouse leaves them. He wants to pretend that you were also unfaithful to your marriage.

Jealousy is what makes people ask that question. You can answer truthfully or not.
