Is it like right at 12:00am that all the catastrophe strikes? Or will they atleast wait until i have had breakfast? Also how does the earth know what time to self destruct itself?

This girl in which i hate, and made it clear that I hate her, randomly texts me the other night needing a favor. her mom had surgery and they are low on money, she actually asked me for money. I know what its like to live in poverty so if i can help anyone in this predicament, i will.

Anyway, i dont know if shes trying to mooch money off of me or what so I say only if I give it directly to your mom, so I go see her mom who is recovering and I give her a card with 100 dollars in it, she is so happy, "no nick you didnt have to" and I say its no problem.

She then says "this is truly a blessing from god" and I say "no, this is a blessing from me, i worked for this money, and from the kindness of my heart that has no room for gods or deities, I decided to do this for you, god had nothing to do with this, its a decision i made without any other influence except that i wanted to"

She seemed offended, but almost as if she understood aswell.

Did i overreact?

I do actually feel fear, knowing that they will not stop at anything to make sure someone believes in their god. if you have seen any of my posts or answers, you know that i am an atheist. And this radicalism puts peoples lives in danger, unlike christianity who only endanger your sanity.

But seriously, i hate admitting i am afraid, but I have seen what these people do.

What are your thoughts?

I taught myself how to lucid dream about a year ago, and have had some success in doing so. The thing is, Even when I realize im dreaming to begin lucidity, I never really have 100% control over my dreams, I can do things like fly if I want. But I still feel like I do not have the capacity to create things, or go where I want, and they are also very blurry and hazy (i believe most dreams are) but how do I get to the point where I can do whatever I want, and gain that 100 percent control over a dream.

I need a fellow atheists guidance. As you know I had been a christian almost my whole life, and recently saw the light. Being a full on atheist now, i am having trouble. I have an amazing job oppourtunity, and I am going to be talking to my boss tomorrow. I want this job more than anything else, its truly awesome to me. i will be traveling the states and installing some equipment 4 out 7 days of the week. My first reaction is to pray that i get it, and i think its because i dont know what else to do. What else is there to do?

I was a christian from when I was 3, all the way till i was 17. I began to question the stories, the morals of god, and the illogic once I started reading the bible critically, and seeing what the church really wanted from me. This isnt a rant or a complicated question, all I ask is this:

In your eyes, was I ever a real christian?

god simply stopped doing the things he did in the bible, and stopped showing himself once science came into play? Not even that. The bible is the only thing that records ANYTHING of god. How can you base a belief off of this? It boggles my mind.
