  • ways to access (erased) internet history?

Hi, thanks for stopping by. So, long story short, I was on my android phone (galaxy s3 mini) and I accidentally deleted a VERY important link from my mobile browser (chrome) history. Now I have no idea how to find that link, but I REALLY must. So, my question is, can I somehow FIND that deleted link, either by accessing logs and stuff (how?), either on my pc or my cell phone, or by some other way? Please, if this is possible, take me through the process step by step, without using any IT slang cause I won't understand. Explain it like you would explain this process to a 9 year old. By the way, in case it helps, this was a link that took me to a facebook page.

    Thanks for looking.

  • How safe is parachuting?

I just happened to stumble across a couple of YouTube videos, and I got to wondering, how safe is parachuting, globally? Understandably, not all companies and individuals abide by the international safety standards, but I am starting to wonder about the statistics. People seem to say that it's actually safer than driving!Could anyone point me to a link or something with reliable international stats, and give me some general info on skydiving safety?

  • Windows 7 blue screens/the system could not find the environment option that was entered (ask for any more details, Yahoo word limit)?

Well, the last 2 months or so, I'd be on Skype with friends playing games like MW2, or Battlefield 3, but each and every time, after about 5-15 minutes into the game (also happens when I play games on my own now) my screen would freeze for 1-2 secs, the speakers would buzz, and the system would go blue screen. The follow up was that the PC would have a bit of a hard time restarting, and when it would, and I'd try to reopen the game, it'd crash again. After a few times, this had gone to the point where I could no longer easily turn on my computer. Each time it would go until the Windows loading screen, then it would either bue screen me again, or it would self-restart.Startup repair would function, but I was neither able to restore my system (claimed I had to dates stored, although I remember doing this before and having a ton in front of me), nor would it find any flaws.Except one time, it did, and I was finaly able to get past the Windows screen. I opened up a game and the same happened again, except I was able to recover faster this time. Now my machine is somewhat slower on startup, and I seem to lack admin rights, for I cannot open downloaded files, or use certain functions of the computer (e.g accessing Advanced System Settings on the control panel). Each time I try to do any such thing, I get an error message saying "the system could not find the environment option that was entered.I've looked into solutions, but so far no luck, and I can't bother formatting again.Any idea?

  • What are the differences between covered and uncovered humbuckers?

I think all you need to know to answer this is in the title.I'd figure it out myself, but I only have 1 guitar, and the closest guitar store is, well, not close, so...

  • pearly penile papules question?

When they appear, do they cover the entire coronal ridge, or is it possible that some parts will remain "clear"/will be affected far less than other parts of the ridge?

  • Computer restarting on its own?

I tend to leave my pc on for long hours, since I often download big stuff + I'm not at home for several hours each day.For a few months now, if I leave the computer turned on, but I don't do anything for some time, it simply restarts itself. If I try to put it on sleep mode, it either can't get back to normal afterwards (unless I turn it off from the button and then back on), or it restarts after some time. Also, if it stays on (not necessarily for long) and then I try to turn it off, there's a good chance that the turnoff process will take a million years.Last, but not least, if I have to restart it (or it restarts itself) after a long time of "operation", it may get stuck on the loading screen, or take a loooong time to get to the user selection.Anyone know what could be wrong?

OS is Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit.

  • First time paintballing: Got any tips?

To be more specific: I'll be playing paintball for the first time in my life in ~ 1-2 months, and I've heard (and seen) that it kinda hurts, plus I got a couple of other questions, so:

-When do paintballs leave bruises?Do you need a powerful hit to get a bruise?

-Where we're going to play, there may not be protective clothing for genitals.Do you know any thing I can use as an improvised safety device for that part of my body?

-What kind of pants would be best suited for the game?

-Does it hurt (obvious question, but just sayin')?

-If your gun gets hit, does that count as a hit on you (the player)?

Any other tips you may have are greatly appreciated.

  • Were AIM-54s prone to AIM-7-like failures?

I've read here and there that the AIM-54 apparently suffered (although probably to a lesser extent) from the same problems as the AIM-7: Sometimes, the rocket motor wouldn't ignite, and the missile would simply fall off the plane.I've also read about AIM-54s sometimes being unable to track their targets.

    The questions:

-Could a Phoenix rocket motor actually fail to ignite, or is this just a rumour? If yes, what was the extent of the problem (preferably in comparison to the AIM-7)?

-Did AIM-54s occasionally fail to initiate target tracking upon launch?Again, could you describe the extent of the problem, should this be true?

Please don't tell me that this is "OPSEC" and stuff, the system's been retired for god's sake, it's almost completely outdated. Not everything's so supersensitive, or capable of destroying the States.

  • Need help (and pics) on "special" Epi Les Paul?

Where I used to learn guitar, we had this AMAZING yellow-colored (quilt top) Epiphone Les Paul with some killer black hardware on it (including open coil humbuckers, plus eargasmic sound). For years I've been looking for it, seeking to find out its true name.I once asked my instructor, and he didn't know what it was either, but he told me it was bought for ~700 euros.Recently, I found this Epiphone Wiki site, and apparently this is a Les Paul Classic Quilt Top with Black Hardware ( http://www.epiphonewiki.com/images/b/b2/LpclasicQM... ).So, just to get this 100% confirmed, those of you who got to see it hanging around in music stores/bought it, did this model really cost ~700 euros? And is this its name for sure? And one last favor: If you own one of these (regardless of color, I'm no racist), post some pics please!

  • what is a (rock) ballad?

To cut a long story short: I've got some metalhead friends who tend to call all "calm" rock songs ballads.I know that this isn't a case, and I've searched it online, but I have yet to find a good, simple answer. So, can someone tell me what traits a (preferably rock) song contains that make it a ballad?

  • Why are Asians so proficient at playing music?

I'm a decent guitarist, but each time I go on youtube, I sometimes see insane people nailing songs, playing many instruments together, playing crazy songs, and they have to be 2 things: either very proficient (very very rare) or asians, which is far too common. So, does anyone know why asian people are so good at music playing?

  • Can someone give me some info on Clapton's Fool Gibson SG?

In case you failed to understand what this is about, have a look at this image please (photo courtesy of jetenginesound.com or something): http://jetenginesound.com/SGFoolW_1.jpg

This, as you probably know, is a copy of one of the guitars Eric Clapton used for some time during his career. This instrument, is, without a doubt, one of the most widely recognized SGs in the world.I've been interested in this guitar for a while, so, I have a question: Did Gibson release some kind of "Fool" Eric Clapton signature model, or all those guitars on the internet are repaints made to look like The Fool?

  • A question about the male pelvis?

A couple of weeks ago I went swimming, and while in the shower I saw a guy at around 17.I noticed something on him that has put me into thinking for the past weeks.I noticed that his pelvis was bigger than his thorax, forming a triangle that I would only see on women.I did a quick search on Google, but I didn't find any male body types that matched his own.So, my question is: Is it possible that the guy has a bigger pelvis, or was it just my imagination? If yes, do you have any idea what may have caused this?
