Jewish people, I have a question?
I was discussing this a while ago with a friend and we didn't know the answer. I know that Jews do not consume pork or anything made from pigs. However is it ok to use anything from the pigs for a medical basis? I know that many heart surgeries may use some anatomy from a pig to replace diseased/damaged human anatomy...is that all right for a Jewish person to do that or would they have to use something synthetic if possible? I am just curious about that. Thanks for your answers!
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs Judaism a birth right?
My question is for "real" Jews (not Messianic xians) or anyone knowledgeable in Judaism.
Okay...I have seen many arguments between Jews and messianic xians. We all know that they are xians cloaked in lies and deception. Most were never Jews in the first place. However I have seen the Messianic claim that Jews have no place denying a birth right when they tell the Messianic that they are not and will never be Jewish. I had never heard of Judaism being a birth right. (I'm sorry Jewish friends but I don't see it that way. You guys have 613 commandments and the rest of us only have 10! That is an intense responsibility!!)
Anyway my question is that if someone who was a "real" Jew decides to accept xianity and leave Judaism are they leaving some birth right? Can they ever return to Judaism if they change their mind about Jesus? Sorry I am just confused about this birthright business.
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoA kosher question for Jewish People!?
I have a question about keeping things kosher and since I am unable to find a reliable Torah written in English I will just ask you guys.
Okay I understand what animals are considered kosher and what cuts of the meat is kosher and how things are slaughtered to be considered kosher. I understand that meat and dairy are not to be mixed.
My question is are there certain degrees to which kosher can be kept? Or is it an all or nothing kind of thing?
I mean can a person just eat kosher cuts of meat but also mix that with dairy?
Is it only the Orthodox that have the two sinks, pans and utensils for the separation of meat and dairy?
Thanks guys!
Also, if you are not Jewish and choose to comment I would appreciate no condescending rude remarks or sarcasm about keeping kosher dietary laws.
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIsn't it funny that ...?
I just find it humorous that how *some* people are so quick to dismiss paranormal activity and characters with magic/supernatural powers when the Bible is full of it. I mean there are talking snakes, demons and Jesus had these supernatural powers. It is full of stories that can logically never have taken place. However if you even mention the word ghost they scoff at it. Why is the supernatural and paranormal true ONLY if it is in the Bible and not if it happens in real life? What do you think?
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoI keep seeing alot of people talking about "rapture" in this section. What does that mean?
I have heard of it before but I don't know what it is.
