  • Sim won't propose?

I'm playing Sims 3 with the pet expansion, and I'm having a problem getting my sims married. For some background, my sims actually started out married, then when the husband was trying to fix a stereo, he got electrocuted to death. When the reaper came for him, the dog barked at him, saving my sim from death. Well technically, bringing him back to life, because my sims' marriage was broken due to his short death. So now my sims are dating again, and I got the option to "go steady", but now I'm not able to get either of them to propose. They've been on various dates, woohoo'ed, the whole shebang, but no option to propose. Do I need to have one of them move out to be asked to move in again? Is there something I'm missing, or is there just a weird bug due to the special circumtances?

  • What to expect at a KISS concert?

I have tickets to a KISS concert, so having never been to a concert of this size before, what can I expect? I'm going to bring earplugs just in case and try to get there an hour or so early.

  • Good name for a white cat?

My brother recently rescued an adolescent white cat from a tree, and he's the sweetest, most sociable lap cat I have ever seen! :) We advertised a found cat in the newspaper and with fliers, but since his owner hasn't called us, I'm willing to take him in. I just need a good name (nothing overdone or silly like Molly or Marshmallow) for this adorable new addition to our family. Thanks!

  • How should I decorate this kitchen space?

I just moved into a wonderful new apartment, and the kitchen has this space that's about 1 foot tall between the ceiling and the cabinets that wraps around the kitchen and is just begging to have something decorative put on it. I'm designing the living room and kitchen to have a sleek, futuristic feel that makes use of chrome, glass, and the colors black and white primarily. I have a nice dish set that a friend gave me that would go nicely, but I'd like to hear other ideas for some inspiration. Thanks!

  • How do I fix this beer drinking helmet?

I bought my husband this beer drinking football helmet for his birthday, but while I was cleaning, I accidentally broke off one of the tubes on the three-way connection that connects the drinking straw to the two can straws. It broke off cleanly, but I'm not sure how I should fix it. Would it be safe to use some kind of glue on a drinking apparatus? Could I buy a new three-way apparatus, or should I just shell out another $25 and replace it?

    Also, here's a link to a similar product: http://www.prankplace.com/dh_beerhelmet.htm

  • Does our landlady have the right to charge us?

My husband and I gave the apartment management fair notice of our intent to move out. Our room mate John, however, couldn't decide whether to find another room mate and renew the lease or get his own place, and the final date to post notice to move out passed him by. John later decided to get his own place, and thus incurred an extra $1000.00 fee on the lease for late notice. My husband and I acted fairly and had no control over John's irresponsibility, but the three of us are responsible for this fee, so the management says.

While John says that he will pay the fees, we have little confidence based on previous financial decisions of his that he will be able or willing to actually do so. Does the apartment management have the right to come after my husband and I for the fees?

  • Husband was unfair to ex room-mates?

I was talking with a couple of friends who used to room with my now husband, and to make a long story short, it sounds to me like he had them help pay for an expense that they had little obligation to cover, at least to the extent that they did. These friends are still on good terms with him, but I feel guilty and embarrassed for my husband. I'm also intently keen on hearing his side of the story, but I don't know if I should bring up the subject.

Should I open this old wound and talk about this with my husband and learn his side of the story, or just let bygones be bygones?

  • Lazy Room Mate Question?

I moved in when I married my husband a couple of months ago. My husband works to support me, and I go to school and do a lot of the chores. My husband's existing room mate, however, does very little to help out. He's frequently late on his portion of the rent payment, dirties dishes, eats food I cook while doing next to nothing in the way of chores, and pays no extra for my labor. I would ask him to help out more, but I feel intrusive since he was here first. Am I in the wrong to ask him to do more? Should I ask for a premium? How should I approach this issue?

  • What are the reasonable capabilities of an apartment air conditioner?

The air conditioner in my apartment is running all day long, racking up a huge electric bill every month. The temp has been getting up to about 100 every day, the AC is set at 70, but it never gets below 80 for most of the time the sun is up. We have been requesting that maintenance replace this old freon spewing AC with a new unit, but the maintenance guy said that it's unreasonable to expect a unit to function better than this, which sounds like BS to me.

  • Donating induced milk?

I've never had a baby, and may never want children, but I'm considering inducing lactation with a pump and fenugreek. I would like to donate to a milk bank, and I meet banks' qualifications from what I can tell (take no medication, disease and drug free, general good health,) but I'm not sure if they will accept the milk because I have never given birth.

  • Sprouting Flower Stem?

I received a yellow rose stem about 2.5 weeks ago, and while the flower head is beginning to wilt, there are several leaf sprouts on the stem, one of which is about an inch long. I have been changing the water every couple of days, but how should I go about caring for and planting what I'm hoping could become a bush?

  • IUD string length question?

  • Which is more malleable?

Is sterling silver or 18k gold more malleable? I ask because I'm in the habit of wearing silver rings, but they slowly deform when I hit them while grasping something hard repeatedly, like a handrail. I'm concerned that this would happen to a gold ring were I to invest in one.

My dog is a short coated shih tzu and has been afflicted with something that's causing her to chew on her rump and legs, even causing hair loss. She has been treated for fleas with baths and oral medication. Small, flat, black bugs have been spotted on her skin upon close inspection. What are they and how could we fix her affliction?
