  • Help on clearing sinuses?

Well basically I have a congested sinus problem which needs solving. I am congested in what feels like the very back of my sinuses. i have tried using a neti pot but that just seems to clean my sinuses which are more towards the surface of my face. The blockage seems to be more between the conchae and the back of the throat. I have tried using the neti pot to pour water down the back of my throat but it all gets blocked, I also can't suck the congestion out with my mouth. Anyone have any ideas?

    Cheers

  • Front derailleur will move but the chain won't move with it, please help!?

Basically I have a BeOne hybrid bike and I'm having trouble with the gearing. Both derailleurs move fine and the rear derailleur is effective in moving the chain around the cassette, the front derailleur moves fine but the chain does not move around the crankset with it, therefore to change into a harder or easier set i have to move it manually. Anyone have any ideas as to what it is and ideas on how to fix it?

  • GCSE Maths question, please help! exam tomorrow!?

A pebble is thrown vertically upwards

It has an initial velocity of v metres per second

The pebble reaches a maximum height of h metres before falling vertically downwards

It is known that h is directly proportional to v squared

Given that the pebble is thrown with an initial velocity of 10m/s and reaches a maximum height of 5 metres find an expression for h in terms of v

My personal thought is that the answer is v= sq root of 20h

Could you please tell me if this is right, if not could you tell me why i'm not right, thanks!

  • Year round dry skin and eczema, please help!?

Basically i've had eczema for about 5 years non-stop. It is not necessarily always in the same place but is always somewhere. Steroid creams and moisturisers help but I tend to wake up every morning with a new area of eczema somewhere. I don't itch the areas in the day but at night I can't control it because I do it when sleeping. My diet is generally pretty healthy, I mostly eat a high carbohydrate, high vitamin and mineral diet with a moderate quantity of protein and low quantity of fat. I do eat diary but have no real signs of allergy as I have consumed milk from an incredibly early age. Please could somebody give me guidance as to what to do to het rid of the dry skin eczema, thanks, Will

  • Training program for road cycling?

Basically after watch the Tour De France, Veulta, Tour of Britain, World Championships and the Olympics this year I am hooked on cycling. I'm 15 years old and I believe I have a really good physique for being a professional rider (6 ft 2 tall and 70kg.) I currently have a hybrid bike which is to small so i'm selling and am going to ask for a new road bike this year for Christmas (probably Specialized Allez Sport.) In the mean time i'm looking to try and get really good fitness and stamina for the sport as I'm a member of a local gym with decent facilities. I can currently manage to sustain about 300w for about 10 minutes when riding and i'm looking to build on this before I get my bike. Can anyone give me a cycling fitness training plan for the gym which focuses on both strength and endurance for road biking? Cheers, Will

  • Rash! Please help (10 points available!)?

Over the last few days i have noticed i have been getting raised bumps on my skin, it started off as one red bump on the underneath of my left arm, then around 2 weeks later I got a few similar bumps around my groin area and on my arms and chest, these have developed over the last couple of days and have become increasingly sore and raised. I asked my mum about what they are and she had no idea, but she did mention the fact that 2 weeks ago she changed our washing powder brand from Persil non-bio to Daz biological. Please could someone tell me whether these events are linked and possibly what the skin condition might be and how to cure it? Thanks, Will

  • Advice on flying, please help?

So basically i'm going on a German exchange trip next friday with school and i'm scared of flying. I honestly don't really care about the heights or anything as often the ride is that smooth it feels like you're on the ground anyway. What most concerns me about flying is the takeoff on the outward journey, I generally don't mind the takeoff on the way back as i've done it before in the outbound journey. I don't know whether it's the fear of speed or the fact that I don't like adrenaline which makes me scared. I'm travelling with two of my best friends and a few people from my school so I don't want to look scared in front of them. Does anyone have any tips on how i can calm my nerves and not be so scared of the takeoff? Thanks, Will

  • Golf practice training program advice?

Basically i'm a junior golfer (aged 14) and i'm off a handicap of 12. I'm looking to really improve this summer (target handicap of 6) but i need more guidance on my practice program. On average I will have 3-4 hours a day after school to play approximately 3 times per week and 10 hours to practice over the whole weekend. I'm looking to improve all areas of my game and have a full range of practice facilities available to me (range, pitching area, putting green, nets, bunker area, course.) i currently have lessons so i'm on the right track in terms of technique. Could someone please devise a practice plan which will be beneficial to me and that i can rigourously stick to over the summer months? Thanks, Will
