Doesn't Iowa look like Mongolia?
I have seen images of both Iowa and Mongolia. Mongolia has endless steppes, and Iowa has endless plains. Iowa has barns with clouds and blue skies in corn fields, while Mongolia has yurts with clouds and blue skies in steppes. The similarities I see in Iowa and Mongolia are the endless plains. But, I think Mongolia is much larger than that of Iowa. So, with that said, I do see some similarities in both Mongolia and Iowa. Doesn't Iowa look like Mongolia somehow?
1 AnswerOther - Society & Culture9 years agoIs JR Cigar Outlet the Suppliers and Exporters of Cigar Store Indian Statues?
I have a Cigar-Store Indian in my basement. It weighs close to 100 tons, and it is nearly 6 feet tall. I bought mine in North Carolina at a JR Cigar Outlet near Charlotte. It is red with a feathered headdress, a chief holding a caught fish in one hand and a peace pipe in another hand. It has hair, made like "The Cromwell Indians and Brooks and Robb" from the Early 19 c. but it is carved as a reproduction of an early Tobacconist Figure. However, looks somewhere in-between an Aztec Carving or a greek goddess and either one of a Hand-Carved Native American or a Buddhist or Eskimo carving from Alaska. It has a dream weaved shirt, and moccasins on the feet, and it sits up on a rocky-brown looking wooden plank. It is a very colorful Cigar Store Indian Statue. However, I question as if other Cigar Store Indian Statues in the North and the Southeast on the East Coast, I am not talking about the Western United States, but mainly on the East Coast, whether they are vintage antique Cigar Indians like you see on The TV Series Episode Seinfeld, or modern Cigar Store Indians like you see in the movie Zombie Land. So, I have always wondered this. Is JR Cigar Outlet the Suppliers and Exporters of Cigar Store Indian Statues on the East Coast primarily?
3 AnswersSculpture9 years agoWhat was the farthest north that piracy took place in?
Whenever we think of piracy, we think of mainly the Caribbean. From the Late-1600s to the mid-1700s in The New World, piracy took place in Mexico, Belize, The Yucatan Peninsula, South America etc.... Piracy was also in The Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, Virginia, New England, New York, Louisiana, England, Ireland, Africa and Jamaica. The Cayman Islands as part of the Caribbean was full of pirates and salvage buccaneers including Blackbeard, Sir Henry Morgan and Sir Francis Drake. The furthest west that Drake's passage took place was into The Pacific Ocean and The East India Trading Company. In the Carolinas, The West Indies and Virginia, Native Americans and African slaves traded goods with European Colonists. In the latitude line of pirates, which includes The Caribbean, The Gulf of Mexico, Bermuda, Trinidad and Tobago, Dominican Republic, Cuba, The Florida Keys, The Bahamas and The USVI pirates traded with other African and British colonists sugar, rum, spices, loot, treasure and other goods with them. Boston as far as I know was the furthest north that British pirates set sail and privateers committed piracy off the coast of Cape Cod. What was the farthest north that piracy took place? Was it Nova Scotia, or Newfoundland? What was the coldest Ocean that piracy took place in?
History9 years agoWas 9/11 like the Crucifixion of the Christ?
Will 9/11 ever be looked back at an ancient event just like when The Romans Crucified our Lord Jesus Christ from the Holy Cross? So therefore, will 9/11 be looked at hundreds of years from now as another sin of God one of the Ten Commandments of the Bible?
4 AnswersPainting9 years agoHow do people make Muppets as seen on Sesame Street?
No. I am not talking about these "Tickle me Elmo" or "Plush Vintage Muppets" or even "Grover puppets" from McCall's crafts or anything like vintage. I am talking about Muppets like The FAO Whatnots. Whenever people think of Sesame Street what automatically comes to mind is Elmo, Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, Cookie Monster, and Ernie and Bert. Right? They think that those were some of the only muppets on the show. They are, however, somewhat wrong. I am going to make a replica of "Forgetful Jones" probably most-likely this December, hopefully. No, I am talking like Muppets like Guy Smiley, Sherlock Hemlock, Willie Crybaby, Its Zydeco, Doctor No James Bond Muppet, Lefty's Boss the Criminal, Clementine, The AMs or Anything Muppets, Polly Darton, Placido Flamingo, Vern Sagely the Reader of the Open Range, Cyrano de Bergerac Nose from Monster Piece Theatre, Pat Playjacks from "Squeal of Fortune," Lifestyles of the Big and Little's Dickie Tick, Biff and Sully, Sinister Sam, Philharmonic of the Nestopolotian Opera, Captain Schnook from Prairie Dawn and the pirates, Roxie Marie and spoof muppets such as, "Sergeant Thursday, NTV Nora Nicks, Bruce String Bean and Billy the Grownup played by Jerry Nelson." Also other Muppets include Mr. Bricklayer, Fat Blue, Buster the Horse, Fred the Wonder Horse and the sheep muppets. However, Prairie Dawn and Betty Lou are just two other Sesame Street Muppet examples that I am curious of how they make. So, with this all being said, how do people make Muppets as seen on CTW, The Jim Henson Company, and Sesame Street and what materials do people use to make these muppets and how do they get them to move and do things almost animatronic almost like humans do?
3 AnswersComedy9 years agoWhat store(s) if not online do cowboys buy their Wrangler PBR Team Enterprise Rent-A-Car Sponsor shirts?
I have been questioning this to many online, and to me after researching this for 5 months, it seems to be a mystery. I have only seen one PBR Wrangler Enterprise Rent-A-Car shirt online and that was on Worth Point. It was a Brian Canter Rent-A-Car Wrangler PBR Enterprise Sponsor shirt autographed by Brian Canter of North Carolina. Now, by researching these shirts, I have just only found that one Enterprise Rent-A-Car shirt by Brian Canter. I know from experience by e-mailing many online including flickr and myspace that I tried reaching them, and yet still to answer with the exception of a couple or few. Does anybody know of a place where they actually have these PBR Enterprise Rent-A-Car shirts? I have been searching for 5 months online for one that is like Brian Canter's or Ty Murray's or Kody Lostroh's Enterprise Rent-A-Car shirt. Still, yet to find one. However, I know for a fact that they exist but I question how Cowboys buy these Enterprise Rent-A-Car shirts. I have seen various Cowboys wear these embroidered Enterprise Rent-A-Car shirts, but I wonder what store, and/or, store(s) these cowboys "Buy" them from. That is a mystery to me. Where do they come from? How do they buy them? I know that they are Wrangler PBR shirts for Professional Bull Riders, but how do the cowboys buy them, or where exactly do the cowboys buy Enterprise Rent-A-Car Sponsor shirts from that are white that look like White Dodge Rodeo RAM Wrangler shirts that have The Enterprise Rent-A-Car Logo emblem written on their sleeve? What store do the Bull Riders buy these shirts from exactly?
Other - US Local Businesses9 years agoWere there ever any famous pirates in The Arctic Circle?
During The Golden Age of Piracy in The New World around the time that Blackbeard the Pirate was hung off the coast of Ocracoke Island, North Carolina from about the time of 1707 to 1718, were there any famous pirates that were in The Arctic Circle where The Arctic Ocean meets The Greenland Sea? Because I know that there were Norwegian Vikings decades before The Golden Age of Piracy.

1 AnswerPhilosophy9 years agoWas Ludwig Von Drake one time on a Tiny Toon Adventures episode back in the 90s?
Corey Burton from Walt Disney did the voice of Ludwig Von Drake. He has been featured on many Disney shows including House of Mouse with Mickey, his nephew Donald and Goofy. Ludwig was also featured over the years in many "Walt Disney's Sing Along Songs" VHS Tapes, everything from Fun with Music to Under the Sea. He was also featured on Ducktales. But, I swear I do in-fact remember something about where he was in the Library on WB's Tiny Toons. Was Ludwig Von Drake one time on a Tiny Toon Adventures episode sometime in the 1990s with Babs and Buster Bunny? Was there an episode with him in it back then?
1 AnswerComedy9 years agoCan you buy things from Worth Point from a Price Guide if you hit the trial button?
I have always wondered this. If something that was a sold date is on a price guide on Worthpoint.com, can you buy something that was sold from a previous year? Say for-instance, if there was an old hat that was in 2011 and it's sold date on Worthpoint.com price guide was in 2005, could you buy it if you contact them on the telephone or by hitting the Trial Button? Would that allow you to-buy that specific item in whatever year that it was sold?
2 AnswersOther - Business & Finance10 years agoWere Mongolian people influenced by The Holy Bible?
Genghis Khan was a Mongol emperor of China as was Marco Polo that was a conquistador of the Silk Road in Tibet, Qinghai, Mongolia, Xinjiang and China. Since the ancient Mongols ruled China, the Mongols and Chinese Mandarins in Trans-Siberia took over. Mongolian Cowboys and Nomads look a lot like people of the Middle East because it is in Asia and the Middle East is in Asia too but their evolution may have come from Biblical Characters in Israel through Mongolian's ancestors. Native Americans were also believed to cross the Bering Straight 1,000 BC from Mongolia but it is just a scientific theory. Mongolian men and women ride horses and speak Sino-Tibetan Chinese and Mandarin, and the Mongolian Nomadic tribes live in yurts, raise cattle sheep yaks and goats. Mongolia of corse is a very unique land in Asia with millions of Steppes and Grasslands. Mongolia has a history unlike anywhere else in The World. Throat singing in Mongolia sounds like Church music. The way that many Mongolian Cowboys and Nomads ride on mares and herd yaks with lasso-poles looks like a Biblical way of life back during when Jesus Christ was on The Earth. So, with that said, were Mongolian people influenced by The Holy Bible?

1 AnswerMedia & Journalism10 years agoDid any pirates ever encounter Stereotypical Irish Celts when they landed ashore in Ireland?
I have asked this and questioned this before. Grace O Malley was a pirate queen in Ireland, and she had a castle in Ireland. Pirates were in Ireland by all many reasons. One reason is that is where pirates were. In fact, a lot of pirates settled the Atlantic Coast and the West Indies that were Irish and English, they even settled the Gulf of Mexico ranging from Louisiana to even Mexico that were typical Irish Privateers. I have never heard of any pirates from Ireland that walked by any pubs. However, I have actually heard of where there were, in fact, pubs where Irish Celts that wear tweed colorful round newsboy caps and wool sweaters and pirates as they did in-fact went into pubs in Jolly Old Ireland and drank. I think that I may have heard that. In Ireland, Celtics dates back to Viking times, yet, were even during the Golden Age of Piracy. Shepherds were also a part of Ireland's history. So, did any Celtics and pirates intermingle when pirates landed ashore?
7 AnswersOther - Ireland10 years agoHow does Mongolian Throat Singing compare to Country Music?
How does Mongolian Throat Singing compare to that of our Nashville Country Music? Is Mongolian throat singing is much like music that of Toby Keith or Hank Aron or The Dixie Chicks except only it is sang in Sino-Chinese or Mandarin due to the fact that Mongolia is kind-of like Asia's Midwestern North America where all of the Country music is?
2 AnswersSinging10 years agoDo Mongolian Cowboys and Cowgirls wear their own clothes that compares to the way our Cowboys and Cowgirls do?
Mongol Men wear Fedora hats, Baseball caps, dels or deels, Mongols hats, Traditional Mongolian boots, Ride horses, also men wear skirts and all this that I have named, whereas Mongol Women wear kind-of the same thing that that of men wear, only except they wear Lady's Mongolian traditional clothing, yet they wear almost Chinese monk clothing yet they ride on Horses. American Cowboys wear Rugged Wear, Stetson hats, and Cowboy clothes. Cowgirls wear about the same thing, obviously, except only they wear Women's Western Wear, but all of the above ride on horses. So, the question is, do Mongolian Cowboys and Cowgirls wear their own clothes that compares to the way that our Cowboys and Cowgirls wear clothes when they ride on horses?
2 AnswersHistory10 years agoAre Alaskan Eskimos that of Mongolian descendant?
I see some similarities between Mongols and Native Alaskan peoples (inuits). They are kind-of like Native Americans, in-fact, they are Native Americans. All throughout the Yukon Territory these peoples live here. However, I know that the Bering Straight was in theory where the Native American Indian tribes came across to get from the Polar regions as far south as Chile. So, with this said, are Alaskan Eskimos and inuits that of Mongolian descendants?

Apparently I have actually heard this from somewhere. It appears to be that Latinos and Jamaicans hate each other. Is it true that Rastafarians and indigenous people from Latin American countries have always fought? Do Rastafarians that worship Ethiopians from African Roots that wear dreadlocks and wear colorful hats and Indigenous Hispanics hate each other?
