  • Can a psychologist be a primary source for mental diseases?

Let's say I'm doing a report on psychopathy and I need to list a primary source in my bibliography. Could a book written by a psychologist that studies psychopaths and lists his encounters with psychopaths, as well as patients affected by psychopaths be considered a primary source, or would the book have to be written by a psychopath himself?

  • Why do teenagers feel the need to act deep?

Why do teenagers feel the need to show everyone that they're 'deep'?

I know not all teenagers are like this, but usually the ones that aren't into the ghetto fad are into this fad of being dark, acting deep, and acting as though they've lived through some unique tragedy which means that no one can understand the pain they've gone through/are still going through, when in reality they've most likely just deluded themselves into thinking that past problems were actually a lot more extreme than they really were.

Why does this happen, and why does it always happen to kids who have just discovered the power of introspection? I even went through that phase when I was 13-14 a few years ago, and I'm still not 100% sure why I thought it was a good idea.

(Also, I'm sure we all know what I'm talking about, but for those who've never come across these walking tropes, here's an example that happened today in my English 3 class:

Our warm-up on the board was a question we were supposed to answer on a sheet of paper. The question asked "If you were to write an autobiography, what would its title be, and what would the first 2/last 2 sentences of the book say?".

Some greasy outcast then raised his hand and proceeded to say something along the lines of: "The dark life of [student's name]", and then his first two sentences were about how he came into this world screaming/crying and his last two sentences were about how dark, tragic, and disappointing his life was and about how much of an enigma he is.)

  • What happened to the 'Complete My Album' option on iTunes?

About a year ago I purchased the majority of the songs from an album of a band I liked. I still like the band now, and it's killing me knowing that the album isn't complete. I remember a few years ago you could buy the rest of the album for a discount price if you already had purchased a song or multiple songs from it. I can't find that option for this album. In fact, iTunes gave me a warning that said:

"You have already purchased songs from this album. Are you sure you want to buy it? The songs you previously bought will be duplicated."

Did iTunes get rid of the 'Complete My Album' option? Or did I just wait too long to complete it? (Like I said, the last time I bought a song from the album was about a year ago.)

  • What's the best HDTV that I can buy for $200?

I received $200 for my birthday. I've been planning on buying an HDTV for a little while now because certain video games (*cough cough* Skyrim) aren't playable on the current SDTV that I've had for years (the compass and the map at the top are completely cut off). Not to mention that the sound is going out from its built in speakers, the edges of the image of the TV shows I watch are getting cut off, etc.

Now, I've never had an HDTV. I don't know what to look for or what I can buy for $200. I tried researching it on my own, but I got confused and gave up, figuring that I could just turn to those who had kept up with the modern times (that's you, Yahoo Answers). So:

1: What's the best (if there is a best) HDTV that I can I buy for $200?

2: I care a lot about its size. I'd really prefer a TV with a size around or greater than 24 inches. If I can't afford one around that size, just tell me.

  • Why is subbed better than dubbed?

I was getting ready to hop into another anime, (Clannad this time, as I've heard good things about it) but I had to stop myself. I asked myself the same question I usually do before starting a new anime: "Subbed or dubbed?". 80% of the time, I go with English dubbed, because...well..I speak English, and I feel that with subbed anime I'm concentrating more on reading subtitles rather than focusing on the picture in front of me. However, I still enjoy subbed just as much as dubbed.

I know a lot of people that often rant about how dubbed animes are always terrible compared to the subbed ones. They say things like:

1: "They block out most of the swear words." (which I don't mind)

2: "Sometimes, they cut some of the scenes out of the dubbed version." (not that I've seen so far)

3: "It's just not as funny!"

I've never really been able to agree, because I've watched a subbed anime and then turned right back around and re-watched its dubbed version. They both seemed the same to me, except that with one I was more focused on reading instead of watching/listening.

Maybe somebody can elaborate on why subbed is better than dubbed. Also, would you recommend watching Clannad in subbed or dubbed?

(I apologize for saying 'subbed' and 'dubbed' so many times.)

  • Pokemon Fire Red or Leaf Green?

I'm going to order either Fire Red or Leaf Green from Amazon, but I'm not sure which one to get. I've already seen which Pokemon are exclusive to each game, but which one do you prefer?

  • Best nature for Treecko in Pokemon Emerald?

Just wondering. Right now I have a 'rash' nature (special defense down, special attack up). Should I stick with this, or should I shoot for something better? If so, which nature should I go for?

  • Do you need a credit/debit card to download apps from the Kindle Fire HD app store?

I just redeemed an Amazon Kindle gift card on Amazon, figuring that whatever apps and books I downloaded on my Kindle Fire HD would just be charged to the balance of my gift card, but when I tried downloading Netflix (a free app) it required a form of credit card payment. Is this necessary, or is there some way to get past it? I really don't want to enter a credit card number if I don't have to.

  • Can somebody explain to me how EV training works in Pokemon Black 2/White 2?

I'm very confused on the matter. I want to EV train my Braviary for speed and attack, but how would I go about doing this? I know that I'm supposed to battle a bunch of Basculin, but it takes about 6 battles just to get the overall speed to raise once. Is it really supposed to take this long? And what's the difference between EV training and just, say, drinking a bunch of Proteins and whatnot? Please simplify your answer as much as possible, almost as if you were teaching a child this.

  • Should I evolve my Grovyle?

(This is on Pokemon: White 2, by the way.)

I want to take it into competitive battling, but would it be better to have a Sceptile or Grovyle? Grovyle's my favorite Pokemon, so I don't really want to evolve it if I can just EV train it to get the same stats as a Sceptile, but I have heard that a Sceptile is just better overall.

So do I need to evolve it? Is it recommended?

  • Can you catch all Johto and Kanto Pokemon on Pokemon Crystal?

For example, you know how there are version exclusive Pokemon in Gold and Silver? Since Crystal is the third version, is it like a combined version of Gold and Silver? If so, does that mean that you can catch all Johto and Kanto Pokemon in Crystal, since the version exclusive function would no longer exist?

Likewise for Emerald and Platinum. Can you catch all of the Pokemon for each generation by buying only Crystal (since you can go back to Kanto), Emerald, and Platinum?

Correct me if I'm not being clear enough or I've gotten something wrong.

  • Is "swag" really an acronym for "Secretly We Are Gay"?

I'm having a really hard time processing this because I've ONLY ever heard it on YouTube and Facebook. Whenever I try to Google it, I can't find any actual proof that some secret gay community used this wherever they went to alert other members of the homosexual community that they shared the same passions.

To me, this thing about it being an acronym of 'Secretly We Are Gay' just sounds like a clever counterattack to those who used the word 'swag' in their day to day life, made by YouTubers, member of 4Chan, Reddit, etc.

I had always been told that it was an abbreviation for 'swagger' (because I guess 'swagger' wore out it's cool factor or something). The reason I'm pretty sure this is the reason it's used so much today is because I have actually heard someone who speaks broken English (slang) tell a teacher that 'swag' or 'swagg' was just an abbreviation of 'swagger' (and yes, this was before the 'secretly we are gay' explanation came about).

So Yahoo Answers, is 'swag' really an acronym for 'Secretly We Are Gay', or was it just a shortened word for 'swagger', making the 'Secretly We Are Gay' explanation an attempt at legitimizing a false definition in modern day society to completely wipe out the word 'swag'?

  • Which is the best ability for Braviary in Pokemon White 2?

Simple as that. Is Sheer Force better or is Keen Eye better?

Also, can I breed a Braviary with the Keen Eye ability to try to get a Rufflet with the Sheer Force ability, or will Rufflets with Keen Eye abilities just keep hatching? Sorry, I'm new to breeding.

  • Is there a way to group friends on Facebook without them knowing?

Basically, is there a way to categorize the people on my friend's list without them being sent any notifications or group requests? It seems like an odd question, but I'd like to separate my friends from my acquaintances. If there is a way, will it let me view my "acquaintances" category's news feed without mixing my "actual friends" category's news feed in with it, and vice versa?

  • What are the common mods/plugins for Minecraft servers?

I'm extremely new to Minecraft Multiplayer, and I've finally set up a server. Now I'd like to know what the common "plugins" or "mods" are for servers?

1: Stuff like the ability to set a sign with "*private* <username>" which will only let the person on the sign in the door.

2: The /sethome or spawnpoint plugin.

Also, if you name the common plugins (or mods, I don't know what to call them), can you tell me where to download them?

  • How can I get myself to focus?

This is mainly for working purposes. The typical ways and theories for getting kids (teens in my case) to focus on work have never worked for me.

1st problem: I'm an introvert, so contemplating is my thing, but my thoughts have begun to undermine my grades. When I can concentrate for ten minutes, I can usually get A's and B's on all of my papers, but when restraining myself from day-dreaming, I tend to get headaches or day-dream about not being able to wait until I can day-dream again. It's that altered state that I'm having trouble getting into, the one where I can block anything out except what's in front of me (most people experience when they watch television or play video games like Battlefield or Call of Duty).

2nd Problem: Removing myself from noisy, colorful, or large rooms with lots of distractions doesn't help me because it gives me more of a reason to contemplate. I need something like a TV or radio going in the background to keep me attached to the "real world" (you know what I mean, actual reality). Without it, I tend to slip off into my thoughts.

3rd Problem: I'm lazy. Very, very lazy. The moment I get home, I get right on the computer. Not to check Facebook or anything, but to play video games. Video games and my imagination are the bane of my grades. The moment I get home from school, I feel the need to relax. Relaxing for me is playing games. It allows my mind to cool itself from thinking and working all day. These aren't strategized video games either, just stuff like Minecraft or RPG games where I can just sort of go with the flow of things. I tend to get caught up in this and can't break away until the last minute.

I have had trouble with these things even when my homework is over stuff I enjoy like math, science, and psychology, but the moment I get into that altered state, I can usually wipe it out.

Here's my question: What can I do to keep from slipping off into my thoughts, and how can I break my lazy streak?

I had read that it was coming out on the 20th, but once again I searched it again and it says that I can now buy it. Is it really out? Or when I drive to my neighborhood bookstore (Barnes and Noble) will I just be let down and sent home?

  • How dangerous are Yellowjacket wasps?

I just got home from my school to find that my main enterance to the house (my garage) wouldn't open due to a dead battery in the garage door keypad. There is another way in, however, it's 2 inches away (literally) from an active Yellowjacket nest which is resting in an empty light socket. There are about 2 still in the socket looking around, and there's one flying near the light socket. My question is, if I risk fiddling around with the door to try to unlock it, is there a good chance that I'll get swarmed and/or stung? I'm sphecksophobic by the way...

Also, when you spray a nest with wasp poison, does that mean that the wasp nest can never be a suitable living space for future wasps? I sprayed this nest a couple of years ago and hadn't had any wasp problems until now.
