  • couples: how often should the guy pick up the tab?

I am curious if I am in the majority in thinking the man should pay (not all the time) but more around the lines of like one out of every 3-4 dates?

We met when he had a job, he got laid off and I moved him into my house for over a year when he was laid off without ever bugging him to go job search or pay into the rent/mortgage.

Fast forward another year and he's now working full time and now makes more than I do and contributes but still has this mentality that any and everything should be 50/50.. which is what we agreed on when he had unemployemnt.. but now I feel like we are just roommates sometimes b/c he never offers to pick up the tab or bring flowers home or anything special for me now that he has the means to do so. I have stopped feeling like a "couple". I do little things for him often like bake cookies and things for him to bring to work etc. Am I in the wrong for thinking this? I dont know how to bring it up to him without feeling like I am being selfish??

  • How will Obama's health plan affect practitioners?

I am in my last year and a half of schooling in becoming an Occupational therapist (they work in rehab). Any-who, if the new health care plan goes through, how will this effect me? will I get paid more, less? is this a good thing for me or bad??

So far I don't like the sound of it, but I want others opinions, especially from Canadians who are already in this type of health system.--Thanks!

  • what are some NON-accredited "fake" colleges?

A friend of mine was talking about going to one of those colleges you see on the tv, you know like University of Phoenix or one of those. What are some colleges I should tell her to watch out for? I don't want to see her spend all that time and money at a school where her degree will mean nothing! She won't consider going to a normal school like the rest of us, because she says it's too expensive. what are some good colleges, or bad ones to watch out for?

  • anyone make you feel bad about your occupation?

anyone ever get talked about or talked down to a lot? it seems that even in nice "professional" settings like hospitals someone is putting somebody's job down, like a doctor to a nurse, therapist to a assistant, or a nurse to a nurse aide. Am I the only one who has experienced this lately? by the way I am a secretary at the moment while in college and some of the staff here just kinda talk like : "well your just a secretary". which is mean! anybody else experience this, Is this common office behavior?

  • amount of time between hair dyes?

What is a safe amount of time I can go before dyeing my hair again. I have been told by stylists that it should be every 2-3 months to be on the safe side from damage. But my hair takes on this orange color after the dye wears off (w/ in like 2 weeks) so would it be a bad idea to dye it again? -- last dye was just before New Years.

  • how to take the ORANGE color out of my hair?

Ok, I have been doing highlights and dyes and things to my hair for a few years now, but now I want to go back to my natural color. every time I dye my hair, weather it be light brown or dark blonde (which is my natural color) it eventually wears out and leaves my hair looking orangey-red or brassy. I have even went to salons to get it fixed...still no end to the orange, anyone been through this before and have any ideas on how to get rid of the color??!! I really do not want to wait for it to grow out, it would take years.

  • anyone believe end of world in 2012??

Apparently the Mayan calendar ends on Dec. 21 2012, and supposedly it is the end of the world or something like that. I don't really believe it myself, (looking back at all the other end-of-world predictions in the past) it's probably just another hype. what do you think?

  • What if hair dye was NEVER invented...

what do you think everyone would look like? What would be the most common natural haircolor? i say brown...or black.

Or what if plastic-surgery was never invented... wouldn't everyone look normal. There would probably be far less double D'd and a heck of a lot less tiny noses if you know what i mean!
