  • Where to go in Leeds?

For my Birthday (9th May) I am going to Leeds for a day/night out with a group of friends. I have been once or twice before but don't know the place well so am looking for some suggestions where to go, planning on spending the afternoon there and then going drinking on the night. I would especially like some suggestions on where to go for a nice meal although nothing too expensive, and good pubs/clubs to go to. The times I have been before we always end up in Oporto which I like and pay a visit to the awesome Fred Pizza. Also I would like to go to a see a local band(s) if there is anything on that night that anyone is aware of.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

  • Garmin Edge 605 cycle computers?

I'm looking at buying one of these as they look really good, I'm a little confused though as to some of the features as the website isn't very clear. Anyone that has one or in the know can help me out? The website says that the device monitors your speed but then on the specs sheet is says "speed sensor: no" so my question is does it have a speed readout or not? do I need to buy an extra piece of equipment to use this feature? I have seen accessories listed which include a speed sensor. Also how is the mapping? I live in the UK, it says it has a base map but doesn't elaborate on what this is, I see you can buy extra maps but considering the price tag I don't want to have to buy extra software on top.

    Thanks for any help.

  • How to start running?

I am currently trying to get in shape, I have been doing some cycling and am currently doing 2 20mile rides per week, I'm thinking of trying to introduce a bit of running, but have never done it for fitness before and am unsure how to start, distance and the sort of pace I should be aiming for etc. I can cycle 22 miles in around 1 hour 40 mins at average pace of around 12.5mph

  • Help with credit card payments that aren't owed please.?

I closed my credit card account in November last year having fully paid off the balance, a company then charged the sum of £97.50 against the account in December using details which I had previously given them for an annual subscription. I was not aware of this at the time as the credit card company stopped sending me statements and confirmed the account was closed. I also did not worry about company that charged this money as they sent me letters saying they hadn't been able to take payment and would cancel my order unless i contacted them. Then all of a sudden a few days ago I get a call from the credit card company saying I owe them £97.50 charged by the other company, I contacted the company who said that they tried to take payment but it was rejected about a month later in January. Now I don't know where I stand as I have the credit card company on one hand saying I owe them for the payment they honoured and that its my responsibility for not cancelling the payment and on the other the company saying that the payment wasn't honoured by the credit card company. They are both big national companies so I don't think it is intentional fraud but I don't know what to do, who has the onus to prove what?

Please only people that have had similar experiences please, or preferably have some sound legal knowledge in this area.

  • Can anyone suggest a good BitTorrent Client for Mac?

I have been using Transmission but recently over the past few days it constantly crashes. I first thought it was the torrents fault but it does it whatever torrent I am downloading on.
