  • Problems with my 18 year old oldest son.?

. My oldest is going through some changes right now that have been downright unruly. He isn't talking to me right now and has sent me a long text about how immature I have been, how I feel that I am such a 'big man' but in reality I am the most childish adult he has every seen and how much I have hurt he and his girlfriend recently in an argument. I mean I read these texts and although I have been in my opinion a good father, coached his hockey teams over 6 years, baseball twice, provided a car with fuel and insurance, food and entertainment and my attention. \

There are holes in doors, broken furniture ect. He has been diagnosed with depression and anxiety with major manic mood swings that have resulted in hospital visits and therapy with medication.

His girlfriend in my opinion is feeding off the emotional roller coaster like a bloated mosquito of misery.

I have had enough and I have taken his car away from him and explained he will get no more from me until I start seeing some forward progress.. He packed a bag the other night and I stood back and told my wife to let him go, he has all the answers, there is no more need for protection from the cold world outside and the baby bird feels the need to stretch his wings.

I have told my wife I am finished with this ******** and we need to take a stand. . Medications that he has been prescribed have been haphazardly taken sporadically and he is self medicating his problems with smoking weed every day and every night.

  • Is an unemployed father of a child responsible to pay support in Ontario Canada?

My niece has a 4 year old with joint custody. She is currently living at home but desperately trying to better her life by going to school and working her *** off towards a nursing position. The father of her child is unemployed and still living at home with his parents. Is he still required to come to the table with a minimum support payment? She is always broke and her parents are not in the position to help her so we are trying to help with a car, clothes etc. My question is: Is the father of a child with joint custody responsible to pay minimum support, back support in any way in Ontario Canada?

  • What is the word for a word that eventually becomes offensive?

What is the word used for a word that at one period in time was considered normal but is now offensive?

For instance the word 'Crippled' was once a term for someone who is 'Handicapped'. The word 'Retardation' is now considered offensive but was once widely used. I know there is a term for this but I can't remember what it is.

  • How do you make a Border Collie retrieve a ball back to you.?

I inherited a border collie and he is constantly interested in fetching. Ball, frisbee etc.... Anything at all that I throw. I think he would kill himself with exhaustion if I didn't stop.

The problem I have is when he brings back what I have thrown he does not bring it all the way back. He brings it to about 10-30 feet away, lies down and attentively stares and the object, me, object, me for as long as it takes for me to walk over, pick it up and throw it again.

He is not food motivated and if I walk away he might nose the ball a bit closer but will lie there and stare at it for hours. Sometimes If I turn my back he will appear behind me with the ball but for whatever reason when I throw it he does not retrieve it all the way back.

Looking for some advice on how to get him to return it to my feet.

    Thanks!
